Hello house. Please I need your help. I have been an ardent follower of this platform and all your write ups has been most insightful. I don't think any agent can guide me as your collective experiences has thus far. I am a physical therapist and have been practicing for a long while now 6years plus actively. I intend to apply for a study permit 2 weeks from now but my heart is failing me. The issue is that I have no choice than to apply as self sponsored. I have adequate fund to apply but cannot proof its source. As a physiotherapist my licenced to practice without restrictions and I do not have to have CAC documents to show a company. I just pick my bag and hit the street to hustle after work with my hospital. So, I generated most of my funds via treating my private patients. So, yes I have all the funds required but I can't prove any. The provable once which are only 3-4million naira in the past 3years are related with the private hospital I have been working with for the past 3 years (tax clearance, pay slips, pension remittance from my hospital, employment letter, etc) but that doesn't cover the 7million that i have to declare that I have which came from my private practice all this years. Please house, I have been depressed for 1 week at this plight of mine. It took me a years to get my admission to a thesis based MSC in Rehabilitation Science at the university of manitoba. That is exactly my next career path after undergrad and clearly inline with my 5years unstopped work experience, and I have funds but feel it can't be proved even though my 6months statement is clearly showing roboust activity. Mind you I am married and have strong ties as such to home country. What do my gurus advice I do. Should i defer and build up a justifable means of income like registering a company and etc. Or shot on... Help a brother with realistic advice friend. Thank you house!! 1 Like |

olajide21:My bro, if only the master admission came through, your TRV would have been in the cart even without a SOP. Notwithstanding, you still can pull this through but you will have to do alot in explaining and expantiating on your choice of this program and how it is best for you. If i were you, i'll use the inability to secure a master admission to my advantage and make a VO also see why i wouldn't take the program in nigeria because my ultimate goal is to get an internationally competititive advantage.#Tips Also take time to point out that the program will afford your another opportunity to hone your academic stand which will further enable you secure a master degree which is your utmost desire irrespective of the one you already have. Everything will boil down to what your overal intentions are and how these are transmitted to the officer. The burden is quite huge on you considering your profile. Anyway, draft all you can and reach me, i'll also help you with it. N/b..Have you considered a PhD or post graduate diploma? 2 Likes |

olajide21: Get your admission, Respect yourself and your money and join this the "other room" that is best for you for now. See the link below, read from page 0, and start the process ASAP. https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/413#55955904 I advise you keep your admission because your certificates will likely be useless for job search on arrival. However, with your new admission, you just need 1 year of study to blend in fully. Good luck. Please note: I am not a guru and all I've said are based on online reading with no personal or relative experience. 1 Like |

samjumbo:Why not make a bank draft in convertible currency payable to your instituition or transfer all the funds to your student account in canada. This way, you will not have to show any bank statement since you are self sponsored and all required funds would have been domiciled in canada. That will give you a good chance. 5 Likes |

olajide21:sir, your SOP go tight for this matter as you will have to emphasize on the PRACTICAL view of construction management to your career and as an architect. Also the prospects and opportunities of this new dimension would add to your profile. the relationship is clear but the vo would want to see the need for this program. |

Austinpee4:Thanks again for your response. I have applied also for PhD but that proved difficult also. I am not sure they considered both my first and second degrees as being enough to land a PhD admissions in Canada. Post graduate diploma? Never gave it any serious thoought before now. I would look at it and see how far that would take me. Most appreciative for your responses. God willing, I would get back to you as soon as I get a confirmation of admission for the grad cert. 1 Like |

olajide21: Baba, come back here, before you go. Let me introduce you to lesser stressful and sure one if you can write English test. Before you come and turn us all to prayer warrior for your study permit app. First, What's your age? Second, did you work for someone or self employed? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 8:58pm On Apr 27, 2017 |
olajide21:The bold line is also a good reason to relate to a VO why you couldn't get admission in a PhD program as well as your other reason for not going for a masters. Use all the instances to you greater advantage and make sure everything add up. They most certainly will question your intentions critically. Your are already a professional. Also try to secure a graduate diploma of atleast 2 years if you can. I don't know how long the certificate program will last but consider a minimum of a 2 years program. |

iseise: I suggest you try linking again. This time ensure you fill in your details as it is in your form IMM 1294. If you had two given names asides your family name, do well to type everything. In addition, include your place of birth (city/town and country). Your DLI must start with letter "O" not zero. To sum up, the information on your form IMM1294 must tally, otherwise all effort will proof futile. I really hope this helps. Best wishes!!! 1 Like |

Good evening house. Please I applied to Humber College to study Information Technology Solutions as PGC and I am about submitting my online application next week. My Aunty {my Father's younger sister. She's a divorcee with one dependent who has graduated from the University and probably working now} lives in US, is sponsoring everything about my education. This is my FIRST question; Is there any need for me to submit my payslip and my statement of account to IRCC even when my sponsor is taking care of the bills? To be honest, I don't have that kind of money in my account. My Aunty on the other hand have paid my tuition for one semester. She has also forwarded me all her bank details and documents of the few assets that she has which includes, a plot of land in Lagos and her house in America. She's ready to take responsibility of all my expenses {atleast for one year till I can get a part time job to pay for my fees for the second year}. How can I arrange my application in such a way that I don't need to include my payslip and statement of account to the Canadian vo? [even though I plan to include my employment letter both in my former place of work and my current organization, reference letter from my employer stating that I shall be going on a 2 years leave without pay to further my education] My second question is this; My Aunty is still waiting to receive her tax returns from the States. Because I've read in this forum that it takes an average of 17 weeks for an applicant's student visa to be process, I want to submit my application next week. She on the other hand is expecting her tax returns on the 19th of next month. I want to know if I can go ahead to submit my application. Then when she gets her tax returns, she will then send me the papers for inclusion under the statement of account. Note: What she has as savings is $19,000 after paying my tuition for one semester. What she's expecting from tax returns is about $9,000. Please is it possible to include other supporting documents after submission online? Please I will be grateful if someone can help me with an answer. Thank you. |

Please I need clarification on this aspect of my online Student Visa form. If my tuition is $5000, room and board is $6000 and my sponsor has $10000 set aside for other living expenses. According to the attached part of the form, please what will I fill in as "funds available for stay" I just don't want to make mistakes. Thanks

squash1986: If you are sponsored...PLEASE avoid including your financial details! Not necessary! #Tip for others applying. There's no point complicating your admission! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by chimah3(m): 5:14am On Apr 28, 2017 |
dyduds: Please do your self good by leaving out roam and board if it was not specified in your admission letter. Also try as much as possible not to put only the 10000 required funds in that column. Increase it as much as possible to what you can prove. At least 30000. The higher the better! #tip |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by chimah3(m): 5:19am On Apr 28, 2017 |
Those going for PGC/PGD please always spell it out in your LOE/SOP to the Visa officer that your grades aren't good enough to secure a Masters immediately thus leading to your choice of program! There is nothing wrong in this...it would only reduce your chance of 'purpose of visit' refusal #Tip 4 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Eraytee: 6:33am On Apr 28, 2017 |
squash1986:My candid advice for you is to submit your payslip along side your SOA once you have declared that you are working, remember this VO's love evidence of any statement made, do dis to avoid the issue of "personal assets and financial status" as a refusal reason, u don't necessarily have to have huge sum. My advice is on personal experience. You don't av to wait for your aunt 's tax returns before submitting ur application, try to avoid too much financial details that might not fly ur way. With her SOA I think you should go ahead |
