Kelechi is an overall better player but he is not a better presser than Kayode.

The goal we scored against Senegal was due to Kayode's pressing.

Kelechi was poor against Algeria. He made some positive runs but there was nothing great about his pressing game.

Against Algeria... Kelechi was the reason the Algerian defence was oftentimes drawn out of line...

The Victor Moses first goal... Kelechi was right there in the box and two Algerian defenders were slightly drawn in his direction and also confused about Whether Moses will pass or shoot. Moses initially chose to pass to Nacho which is why Mandi got a slight touch on the ball which didnt clear properly... then that gave way for moses to pull off the shot.

What few saw what Nacho's movements causing problems in the box.


The Victor moses second goal...... Nacho again drew two defenders with him which made musa's pass drop kindly for moses at the far post to slot home.

Nacho had a quiet game against Algeria and had one sight of goal which he missed by side-shooting over but his positioning and pressing on the day was very good....

Movement not pressing, two different things.

His movement was the most positive thing. His control, pressing and other parts of his game were not great.

Understandable. He's seen as the poster boy of the new golden generation, and a perfect example of how adequate grooming of kids by the authorities can turn out well. I sympathize with the attachment.
