I don't think we'll qualify even if we win the penalties based on goal difference

Chaaaiiiiii.... Tale and Ogodo.... well... it is okay... We come back home with lessons learnt again I hope....

Plsss... only players who can do proper and well executed overhead kicks and also defend like lions and run around like Horses should make the make team.... I am particular about the overheads... angry

Well jokes apart.... smiley

The group was always gonna be tough for us... but again we had chances to win and move on in the competition. The players tried but started this game so slowly. They picked up momentum later and this cost us alongside our extremely leaky defence....

The lads should keep their heads up and look ahead... we can come back stronger in the future.

Well done Super Sand Eagles.... Good game against the lords of Persia.... smiley

Chelsea Defender Ola Aina Can't Play For England Or Nigeria Until Fifa Decides

Chelsea defender Ola Aina will apply to football governing body, Fifa, to switch national teams from England to Nigeria next week.

The London native is eligible to represent the Super Eagles if the grandfather rule is invoked, though he has caps for England U16-U20 national teams.

“The documentation has been done and in the new week, it will be submitted to FIFA for approval,” an official of the Nigerian Federation told scorenigeria.com.ng.

“How fast FIFA and the FA in England work on this will determine how soon his application will come through.”

While Ola Aina's application is being considered by Fifa, he won't be allowed to feature for the English and Nigerian national teams.

The former England U19 captain trained with the Super Eagles in London in March.

Kelechi proposed move as part of an exchange deal + money if true shows the little value pep places on him.

Either way, i hope the Dortmund coach gives him a good chance and he proves himself. He can make a name in Dortmund and then sign for Bayern. He will be better regarded then.

All the best to him.

So you believe Iheanacho and Aubameyang should have the same market value?

Ofcourse not, but when if you feel a player has potential, you do not offer him in exchange because his value can rise very quickly.

Success On As Can Stunner Fires Liverpool Past Watford

By Izuchukwu Okosi:

Super Eagles forward Isaac Success started from the bench in Watford’s 1-0 Premier League home defeat at Vicarage Road on Monday night against Liverpool, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Midifelder Emre Can scored a fantastic acrobatic first half goal for Jurgen Klopp’s side to claim a slim but vital win which keeps the Reds in their hunt for Champions League spot..

Manager Walter Mazarri called former Granada forward Success to action in the 73rd minute for his 19th Premier League game of the season, seventeen of them coming off the bench.

The Nigerian international scored once in those appearances last October.

Liverpool were rocked by a fifth minute injury to playmaker Phillipe Coutinho who was replaced by Adam Lallana.

Watford’s Miguel Angel Britos Cabrera was not able to carry on after picking up a knock and was replaced by Christian Kabasele.

Lallana almost put Liverpool ahead three minutes before the break when he cracked a left-footed volley from just outside the box that brushed the left post.

It was an incredible shot and Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes was lucky not to concede a goal at that moment.

However Gomes’ luck ran out in the second minute of the three minutes added time when Can pounced on a Lucas Leiva chipped pass and scored a spectacular overhead kick.

Sebastian Prodl almost equalised for Watford but his shot hit the bar in added time.

Liverpool remain third in the table with 69 points and Watford sit 10 places behind with 40 points, 28 of them secured at home.

China: Ighalo Set To Return As Martins, Ideye, Obasi Chase Cup Wins

By Johnny Edward:

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo is expected to play a part in Changchun Yatai’s Cup clash against Nei Mongol Zhongyou FC on Tuesday at the Hohhot City Stadium, reports Comple tesportsnigeria.com.

Ighalo, who suffered a knock on his ankle in Changchun Yatai’s 3-2 loss to Shanghai Shenhua a fortnight ago in the Chinese Super League, trained with the rest of his teammates on Monday.

“I trained well and I hope to play in Tuesday’s game,” Ighalo told Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Nigerian forward has scored twice in five league appearances for his new side.

Also, Obafemi Martins’ Shanghai Shenhua will be aiming for their third straight win when they face Chinese League One side Yunnan Lijiang away at the Lijiang Sports Development Center Stadium in a Cup game on Tuesday.

Shanghai Shenhua recorded wins over Guizhou Zhicheng and Changchun Yatai to move up to seventh in the Chinese Super League log after recording four points from a possible 12 in their opening four games.

The Nigerian forward, who has scored ten goals in 28 Chinese Super League appearances for Shanghai Shenhua since joining from Seattle Sounders, scored twice for Shanghai Shenhua in the competition last season.

In other Chinese Cup games, Chinedu Obasi is expected to lead Shenzhen FC attack when they host Hebei CFFC while Brown Ideye will be targeting his first Cup goal in Tianjin Teda who face third-tier side Shanghai Jiading.

BK Hacken Pay Rangers Egbuchulam Loan Deal Money

By Johnny Edward:

Swedish side, BK Hacken, have paid Rangers International the loan fee agreed for the transfer of Chisom Egbuchulam, Completesportsnigeria.com has reliably gathered from the Enugu side's official.

Though the official refused to divulge the exact fee paid, Completesportsnigeria.com gathered that the Flying Antelopes got a sum in the neighborhood of €100,000 (about N34, 467, 000) for the 25 year old forward who was the club's top scorer last season with 17 goals.

"Yes, they have paid Chisom's loan fee which the two sides agreed before his move," The club official respondeded Completesportsnigeria.com's question.

"But that's not for me to reveal the amount."
"BK Hacken are very pleased with his performance in training and it's just a matter of time before he gets his chance to play.

Meanwhile, Egbuchulam could make his long awaited debut for the club in Tuesday's derby game against IFK Gothenburg after he was listed in the matchday squad for the encounter at the Bravida Arena.

BK Hacken who failed to win their last two games against Norrköping and Örebro, have never won a derby game against IFK Gothenburg in six years.

Egbuchulam has made five substitute appearances for BK Hacken who are 12th in the Swedish top division log with six points from five games.

There are so many uncertainties in football.

The bottom line is Pep does not have future plans for Iheanacho.
