Pls house...what is the difference between ones' study visa application been denied or delayed. I understand if denied, CIC sends a letter to this effect but in the case of a delay (eg. when you are yet to get a response as at start date of program). Can this be termed that you have been denied? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by mcobex: 4:17pm On May 02, 2017 |
ebimila:Delayed here means the same as denied, it's just a way of encouraging the applicant he/she can apply again and get his/her trv. as for the case of not having ur trv even when ur program has commenced, then the questions of (1). as the trv application exceeded the processing time? if yes then u will have to contact cic, but if it hasn't exceeded the period then u will have to wait and while u are waiting u contact ur school and inform them of the development, cos u might have to defy ur admission to the next available session 1 Like |

Hello everyone ... Please I would like to ask a few questions . 1. Is it advisable to do Medicals before applying for a Canadian visa ? 2 . My son is a Usa citizen and would be applying with me as a dependent ( a 2 years masters ) . Do I need to submit his Usa passport alongside mine . Basically I am asking if he needs a permit to travel as well . Thank you in advance for the prompt reply ... |

Hi Guru, This can be an important info somebody A friend go mail to do medical in Feb. But he did one medical last year July which it is still valid . He went to IOM in Ikeja , he was given medical certificate to forward to emmbassy He got delayed today on the ground that he didnt do medical . But Medical is valid for one year according to consultant at the hospital . Is it that medical is not valid for a year again or what ? Seriously na funny refusal statement . |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 6:56pm On May 02, 2017 |
gbsunmonu:For the previous medical he did, was it requested for or did he do an upfront medical and was there an update of passed? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by mcobex: 7:01pm On May 02, 2017 |
Mumtwins08:1. it's ur decision to make, upfront medical have no advantage as such just that when applying late applicants tend to do upfront medical so as to save time . so if u have the cash u can do it but if u aren't too boxed up rite now u can leave it till cic ask u to go for it. I can't answer the 2nd question, gurus in the house should help out |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 7:09pm On May 02, 2017 |
Mumtwins08: 1. It depends on your schedule and patience level. Both medicals before submission and waiting till you are advised to undergo one are advisable. Which ever one you choose, it won't guarantee an approval of your application till a final decision is made. 2. If he is going to stay with you for the entire duration of your program, you will have to apply for a visiting visa for him. Us citizens can only visit canada without a visa for not longer than 180days. If stay exceeds this duration, a valid visa is required. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by gbsunmonu: 7:16pm On May 02, 2017 |
Austinpee4: it was requested and he passed medical last year but was refused for insufficient fund , GSMC note stated that he lumped sum of money without origin He re-fire and was sent medical mail and was told to provide new acceptance letter. He went to IOM and he was give medical report ( not medical result ) to forward to them. He forwarded the two the following day . But VO said he didnt provide the required documents reason for the delay |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 7:36pm On May 02, 2017 |
gbsunmonu:Na wa o. What will we even call this one? Hmm Well, since the application was refused, let him reapply adding all the documents plus a letter to the visa officer pointing out what happened. By the way, i want to believe that the issue raised in the previous application was well tackled. 2 Likes |

Hello house, Please I need your help deciding.. I got admitted to university of Manitoba and I intend to be self sponsored. However, I can't proof my income. I mean, most part of my income comes from private practice which I don't issue receipt for. All in all, my statement reads 11.5m and I intend to go alone. I am married and I have my immediate brother that can act as a sponsor but he only has 2million 1.Would you advice me to defer my admission and prepare better or can I go ahead to apply. I really don't want to cook up receipts though that's what an agents advice's me to do. Please I need your help. 2. I work in a hospital and I have all proper documents to proof my earning for the past 3years from them (tax clearance, pension statement, pay slips, etc) but I don't own a business or have a CAC doc. My client payment cash or just bank transfer. Should I present the doc I have at hand and hang to fate? 3. My fees is 3.2million (11500CAD). That will live me with around 8.5million after I pay the fee. Is that statement sufficient to suffix that I can sponsor my self considering the school gave me a fees schedule of between 27000CAD to 37000CAD pending on my life style, fee included. Please house.. Help a brother on the vague of deciding based on your experience. |

How true is it that thus email means denial in advance? Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible. We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection. Kind Regards, Sheffield visa Section |
