This written assurance from CBN does it necessarily have to be addressed to the Canadian high commission and does it have to be specific? Cause I have their press release and their circular which I want to submit alongside written specific and addressed letter from my bank Cc:@chimah3 @yemdogg @austinepee4 @folaroyal @michv 1 Like |

i am Folumade1 a silent follower of this thread, applied via the online route in January was delayed in March reason: purpose of visits and family ties{ i personally think Paper route is the best as it gives the VO who i assume will be busy going through more than a 1000 application ample opportunity to view your applications on a first hand basis} this is more important as i learnt that even the docs submitted online will have to be printed out to be reviewed so shy not just take it to VFS and endure the shit those ones too will show you from the security who sells special numbers to the VFS officials wey go bone as if una they fight. Moreoso, i applied for a PGC programme as i have a 2.2 B.sc and i was told MBA was impossible for a 2.2. so there was this arguments that PGC are usually delayed this might actually be true o guys. Coz i ensured i crossed all my T's and dot my I's so Family ties for where when my kids-wife-siblings birth certificates where scanned alongside. Of course i personally have a friend who is in Canada now and has a PR that was granted 4 years ago on a PGC admission. but i guess the world keeps changing and the odds have changed. oh, of course i am not discouraged neither are my desperate these are two factors or things i would like us all to be wary of i understand Nigeria is hard for some (my case is different though with all sense of humility) but let's just keep calm me i think VO's are humans and some of them have once in a while bias and skoin skoin, my prayer is ours meet someone with the right frame of mind. of course earlier when i applied online i already passed Medicals as i did upfront so what i just did now was attach the so that they are BIASED as far as PGC is concerned i think so, yet i am not discouraged and neither do i want anyone to be . Peeps i have re-applied and i am positive i will be given ( LIFE AND DEATH in the tongue) so to all TRV hopefuls be calm, ensure your SOP is well detailed and in sections with clear headings and above all say it in God's hearing Once and go back to your normal life believing that God's will for us is better than what we could imagine. Believe me i have been there i was always checking my online account every day concerned etc. Oh i have a wonderful school Humber institute of Technology whom i explained to when my visa was still in process and i explained to them i will like to defer to September, 2017 and they assisted immediately with a new admission letter. So having said that Guys keep hope alive and please avoid desperation Best wishes as we both await our TRV which hopefully will be very speedy 6 Likes |

@ tommee, I got admission with a study gap of about eight years. All you have to do is, show what you have been doing during those years. If its work, attach your offer letter to the application. Just prepare a good application. You will be admitted. Also choose a program related to what you are currently doing. My 2 cent. Success bro/sis tommee: |

CanadianNurse:I doubt so much CBN will issue a letter to an individual. So just attach the circular as it is. Personally, i feel that circular from CBN does not completely address the embassy's concerns. It will only help to understand the measures taken by the apex bank to make forex available for tuition and other invisible transactions.(They probably would have seen that circular since they are aware of the new forex policy). From that email from the embassy, the written assurances has to be specific about the applicant's possibility of transferring the funds to canada. This is where the applicant's bank will come in and clear the doubts with assurances and vehemence. That circular from CBN should be helpful but the commercial bank letter assuring the embassy of transfering funds will most appropraitely address this growing concern. I strongly believe so. 1 Like |

I thought cases are being attended to on a first come first serve basis. How come someone who applied 28 march is receiving medical mail b4 someone who applied 1st march? |

goodnews1111:from my little experience I think they call for medical after proper scrutiny and confirmation of your documents! So think of it did we submit exactly the same documents and also is it exactly the same vo working on both of us? No.... Not everyone that submitted on 28th has gotten medical calls... So let's just be patient God will perfect what he has started |

CanadianNurse:I don't think that will be necessary. If they needed a new SOA, it would have been requested for. Only provide what they request. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Newman1010: 10:18pm On May 04, 2017 |
@Austinpee4, don't you think it would be a plus to present a new SOA with funds still intact as at the time of application? This can further prove that the funds were not fixed solely for the purpose of application. Just thinking Austinpee4: |

Hello . I finally was able to complete my Certificate of study permit application in Quebec online and paid. However, when I printed the filled document, I found out I made a terrible error, I didn't include my course of study! I only put a Postgraduate programme. I don't know how I did this kind of mistake now! Please , what do you advise I do now? Thanks |
