Actually, if you put his results side by side with what Jupp Hyneckes achieved in his final year with Bayern, you'd realize that Pep didn't perform wonders at all.

O pari

TheGoodJoe:

He cracked it to perfection at Bayern. People saying Pep did not crack it at Bayern are being unfair. He shattered almost all the records from winning the title in record time, to conceding the least goals to scoring the most goals.

The only thing he did not do was win the champions league, which is not a guarantee.

The other day, I read a report of a Burkinababe player playing in Ivory Coast who just got a direct deal to Lille from Asec Mimosa. No Trial.

Our best players are going for trials in Denmark and Sweden.

Chisom Egbuchulam's team played again yesterday and he did not get a minute. A mid table side in Sweden and he is not even coming in as a sub for how many months now.. He was voted player of the year last year. He has not been injured o.

I think the quality of the league is also poor. It is not just age but age is a major factor.

Teams are ignoring the top flight and going to grassroots teams because of the age cheating is so rampant in the NPFL.

This is not news, the special relationship of France with its former African colonies. Gives them direct access to the French league 1.

Ismaila Starr left local Senegalese football straight to Metz. He has had a good season and is on the radar of top clubs for a big money move, he is just 19.

These examples of Francophone footballers moving straight to the French league 1 from thier local leagues is very common.

That was exactly my thought when I read about the development. Makes it even more disturbing that Vincent Enyeama had to go for trials at Bolton Wanderes when he was the first team goalie of the Super Eagles at 2 nations cup and back to back Caf champions league winner.
If you can recall, he was meant to replace Jussie Jaskelinnen (spelling) but somehow he was not offered a contract after trials, rather he saw himself in Isreal.
I don't think Bolton have had a better goalkeeper than Vincent in the history of their existence.

Sirs TheGoodJoe, Icon4s, and BascoVanVeli.... lemme just call it a day on that sports/education combo matter. Una don leave me run far sef.... But I am still for the Coach Carter concept and for the fact that if a Special talent is finding passing a class difficult, then he is put through a very specially dynamic training route to enable him/her move on and also still be able to express his/her talents.... So GoodNight on that one...

Ehen... So Nacho made a cameo... well sorry Pep.. nacho is still leaving.... smiley

And Ndidi scored again.... yes man! more of that plsss.... and ehmmmmm.... Osimhen made the bench today at least... that is good... and Wolfsburg won... I hope he gets his debut next season... as it seems the bundesliga is over right?
Or wait.... two games still to go naa..... so next game hopefully....

Siasia Advises Eagles Coach Rohr On How Best To Use Iwobi, Victor Moses, Ndidi, Iheanacho & Success

Former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia says the Super Eagles of Nigeria will play best if the coach of the team Gernot Rohr plays Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi in the number 10 role.

Presently captain of the Super Eagles John Obi Mikel plays as the playmaker of the team while Iwobi plays from the left in Rohr’s 4-3-3 formation, but Siasia wants Rohr to switch to 4-4-2 and play Iwobi as the playmaker of the team.

” Talking about a 4-4-2 system, Rohr should involve Watford wing attacker Isaac Success playing from the left wing, Chelsea Victor Moses from the right wing while Iheanacho should play as the top striker of the team. This would be very potent attack line for the Eagles and would surely deliver against any team”, Siasia said.

” Playing Iwobi as Eagles playmaker alongside Ndidi with Success and Moses ahead of him will bring the best out of him. Alex can create lots of goals with his good vision and passes and he can score goals too. The only thing he is working on for now is his defensive ability which I believe other players in Eagles can help to cover up.

“Like I said Alex will excel as a play maker for the Super Eagles but he can still operate from both sides of the wing attack and forward too”, he added.

Raheem Lawal Outshine Onazi, Scores Brace For Kayserispor Against Trabzonspor

Forgotten Super Eagles midfielder Raheem Lawal scored twice to inspire his side Kayserispor to a 3-2 win over Eddy Onazi’s Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Onazi and Lawal were on from the start for their respective teams. Onazi’s side drew first blood in the 34th minute when Hugo Rodallega gave them the lead, however Lawal ensured his side went into the half time break level with the equaliser four minutes before the break.

With scores at 2-2, Lawal popped up with what ended as the winning goal, when he headed home a cross from Wellington to put his team 3-2 up.

The match hero was substitute on the dot of regulation time to great applause from the away fans, as despite picking up a booking few minutes before he scored the winner, the Nigerian was by far the best player of the game.

Onazi was also shown a yellow card two minutes into time added on after regulation time for unsportsmanlike conduct as the Super Eagles deputy captain let the frustration of the defeat get to him.

Raheem Lawal scored an outstanding brace today, MOTM performance... Another player that is knocking on Rohr's door.

Like I had said several times, it doesn't matter how well you play, the heart of the matter of the matter is your results. Barca had played everyone out of the park thus far this year, but are they going to win the UCL? Ten years from now, nobody is gonna remember how well Barca played but everyone is still gonna remember that Juventus won the 2017 UCL.

BascoVanVeli is right in the fact that every youth player must complete high school. Academies like Clairefontaine actually accept players based on their grades. The coach carter concept totally makes sense and should be implemented in all our academies.

Pep Guardiola leaves Bayern Munich as the best manager in Bundesliga history

One thing is pretty clear: Guardiola is the best manager in the history of the Bundesliga.

Bayern did so much more than simply finish in first place since the Spaniard took over.

Bayern Munich absolutely throttled the rest of the Bundesliga.

Just look back to Guardiola’s first season at the club. Bayern went undefeated in their first 28 matches under Guardiola and even won 19 straight at one point. Only once did they concede more than one goal in that span and they had a goal difference of 66. By the time they finally lost, on April 5, they had already clinched the league, having become the first team in history to win the Bundesliga in March.

I wonder who gave you that idea that no one will remember how well a team played.

Food For Thought.

The Dutch team did not win the World Cup in 1974 but the Germans did. The Dutch team is still more talked about and remembered than the German team that won it.

I understand perfectly but using educational pass to select players for our U17 national team is a no-no.

There is no such thing, u just need to find a way to connect to the child. Children that u may think are slow learners turn out to be pretty bright when they are given the right type of attention.

Reminds me of a boy in my school who was as block head as you can get. Almost difficult to fail as he did. Last was his calling.

However, on the football pitch, he was an absolute genius. His intelligence on the pitch was way above his age. Sometimes when his results came he would cry that he just want to play ball.

Before arriving our school, he won the highest goal scorer and best player in a secondary school tourney at Lagos.

His father stopped him from playing in a grassroot team and removed him from his school in Lagos to kill his hype. He joined us in JSS 2.

If a teacher does not find a right way to connect to the child through books, does it mean the child's footballing talent should drown?

If a teacher connects, Good. If not, still let the kid play.

Maybe Guardiola isn’t an outright success at Bayern Munich. But you have to look to Europe to make that case. Because in Germany, Guardiola has no equal. Count the trophies. Add up the goals. Look at the way they play. Even look at the rest of the league, defeated from Day 1. Guardiola is the best the Bundesliga has ever seen.

Matic?! Last season Matic perharps but not this present Matic. Ndidi plays exactly like Kante, you can't have two such players on the field at the same time, it makes no sense. For Ndidi to go to Chelsea, Kante has to leave or even worse, he has to displace Kante

So if the child is finally allowed to play and maybe he impresses and then loses form completely to the point that he becomes a free agent, what will he then fall back on? Start from secondary school again?! You can enter the university whenever you want but secondary education has to be attained before you can start talking about football
