Canada is sweet ooo just that you need to develop yourself before coming here. A goat in Nigeria will not become a lion here. Seems Spouse Open Work Permit is the deal here any single lady? ( let me come to Nigeria and marry you. The research here is not easy oo I need to review over 200 papers. My supervisor weak me God dey sha. I don't do PMs for now just post your question and quote me il take it up when I am chanced. Cheers. 16 Likes 1 Share |

Hey bro, smiling mood activated here too. [s]I am always happy to be proven wrong but it's not clear to me how a postgraduate diploma is different from a post bacc diploma except in name only. I do stand corrected if I am mistaken, however.[/s] On second thought you are right that they are not equivalent... I googled it and it appears that just one school in Canada offers this exact course and the same school also has a graduate diploma which they consider to be higher than the post bacc. Thanks for the correction! Having said that, switching to a PGD won't automatically solve his problems (though I agree with you that the program level is also likely an issue), though switching to masters would help. But in either case, @chinograd needs to write a strong SOP explicitly justifying his desired educational trajectory. From my unscientific observation of this thread over the past ~two years, PGD visa applicants in business administration or international business management or human resources management seem to get denied a lot. To me the reason is almost obvious, it is difficult to make a case to the VO that you need to go to Canada to study these courses at the PGD level. It is not impossible to get a TRV for these courses, but the application has to be extremely well put together. So yes I'd suggest he go for a masters or an MBA if he really wants to gain unique knowledge, given his three years of experience. nelly28: |

chigrad:The bold forms d reason for purpose of visit, you should have gotten a PGD instead Bcox ur proposed program is equivalent to ur previous education, try to reapply with a good Sop. |

@chigrad sorry for the refusal. from my perception on that sole reason for refusal shows that before a VO can approve visa for PGD/PGC/Diploma, he/she, the VO would want to conversantly see the need for that very program to your career. your sop must genuinely do the work. It has to in all area tailor the need for such study. you can research on google and see the int'l potentials of such study and industrial needs whilst comparing and applying it to our own environment. SOP is a tool and requires carefully and intelligent selection of words and statements when writing. Even to write WAEC EASSY easy pass SOP as for WAEC you can still accumulate marks for ink wasted and sentences written on paper while for unaddressed concerns on SOP result to ''purpose of visit'' refusal which is no longer all about program consistency but still lie on the NEED for this program and other factors if applicable. To that moniker refused on the grounds of misrepresentation, sorry for the refusal too. Instead of future applicants pass through outdated fake agents and get hurt at the end, invite your friends and families to join educative Nairaland forum to learn from modern intellectual bodies on here (first-hand experience is better than mere-say/hear-say). If you have the money to spend, you can still look out for good agents that have ''pass-mark'' on successful records than get involve with dubious ones but I still feel okay that doing it yourselves is the best to affectively address all flaws. Out there, a good agent can't even successfully guarantee you of your visa approval as long as Canada is involved even after doing the basic needful. At least a truthful one told me so. Read and ask questions and whoever has your time may respond you. The Doc* 6 Likes |

thesoj:baba.. wholeheartedly, I concur with you @bold above. in short I would express mine to be scientific b/c it has been a case study on this thread over the years at least it can serve as an evidence to my conclusion when presenting a case. HRM I have witnessed but Int'l business management and business administration, I have never witnessed as long as PGD(C) is involved. a previous GCMS NOTE I requested on behalf of someone clearly stated and the VO quoted; '' I don't see reasons why an applicant would incur so much cost to study int'l business management in Canada. Program is a 2 semester program and similar programs can be obtainable in home country in a short while, bla bla bla. SP(study permit) refused. |

Good morning house, ON THE ISSUE OF WRITTEN ASSURANCE FROM BANK THAT CIC REQUESTED FOR Please who has gotten the written assurance? And what are the possible steps to get the written assurance From my own interpretation CIC is asking for assurance that the money will be "ALLOWED" out of the country, they have no doubt that the money is available but the possibility of exporting the cash is what they want to confirm! I once heard someone talk about bankers assurance on this forum! What's that? Will it fly in this case and how can one get it! Please gurus we should deliberate on this an have a formula for tackling this on this forum for the sake of future applicants because this is reality! It is now a requirement! Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Ope100(m): 9:40am On May 09, 2017 |
From my little knowing sir, it is almost impossible to satisfy any of the three options CIC asked you to. However in the content of someone with a similar message on this; his stated that "If you are unable to satisfy any of the options above write in a letter why and how you choose to go about it" something of that tone. This makes me wonder if Opening a domiciliary dollar card acoount will suffice, you will include a statement of the dom account showing at least the 10K CDN, a letter from the bank showing you maintain a Domiciliary card account with them, and a letter explaining to CIC that with the dom account you are able to make translations abroad. You may also include that you will be allowed up to 4K USD for PTA which will be in cash before you travel to Canada. This is what has been on my mind concerning this issue. I may be very wrong.
