Hi guys..... A quick one; I was told that VO for Canada do not really look at the details of the account, they are particular about the closing balance. How true is this. I asked because my company will be funding my studies as my sponsors. I asked because the finances will be transferred to my Salary Account. Is that Okay? Or will it raise eye brow? Aside the Sponsorship letter, study leave letter, employment letters, what else can I use as a backup to support this sponsorship? Finally..... people finish their programme and do not come back, Im keen to knw what keeps them there. I know canada gives a 1yr work permit for a 1yr program, but in if its an organization sponsored programme, will I be given work permit there after my progrom? Response please.... |

You can open a Canadian bank account with most banks in Canada but the issue is the account can only be accessed when you enter Canada, but funds can be wired in the the account and even account statement can be requested. Check out Royal Bank of Canada and Bank of Montreal wealth360: 1 Like |

Innogee: It will better to order for your GCMS file, but to expatiate more on this your refusal reasons, I will like to tell you the possible reasons associated with the cited reasons above pending when your GCMS will come out so that you can start planning on how to correct them (if considering re-applying). Travel History; This is just a tag-along reason. Especially if there are other genuine reasons for your refusal. In this case, your main reasons for refusal are; "Purpose Of Visit and Personal assets and financial status". Purpose of Visit; Don't be decieved, this reason is associated with many other reasons. Firstly, the V.O may look at the following 1. Why do you want to study this course in Canada and not Nigeria. 2. Peradventure you're already functioning in that field of proposed study, going for a PGD might raise a red-flag. Lemme say this, most V.O's doesn't see an academic progression in PGD as it's a college-run program. Also, you have to look at the contribution of your proposed course to your career and the practical application to the development of your environment. It's not enough for you to just believe that your proposed course of study is related to your undergraduate course of study; you also have to indepthly show it to the V.O the relationship that exists between the two and the application to your work experience. As an Engineering graduate that i am, I might need a better clarification on the relationship between an Economics graduate going for Supply chain Management. These and more are what you should be looking at tackling under "Purpose of Visit". Also, as regard Personal assets and Finance; I will like to ask you some questions. 1. Does your declared personal assets justifies that high number of work experience? What I mean is that; what's your statement of account like, the inflow and outflow...? Did you declare any other asset aside your S.O.A? V.O's most times commeasure your years of work experience with with financial status ( both liquid assets and non liquid assets). 3 Likes |

Instead of going through all the stress, someone told me you can get a bank draft in USD at UBA head office marina, Lagos at their International Operations Department. All you need do is open a dom account in US dollar and pay in all your money for living expenses in dollars and make arrangement to pay your school directly to the school. It will end in praise. quote author=CanadianNurse post=56394973] Actually it's possible to open an international student account with the royal bank of Canada.... Just got to know yesterday sef.... You fill forms online and submit your email they get back to you and ask you for documents to submit through email. The account will be blocked and can only be debited until u get to Canada, go to the bank and present them your study permit, passport and letter of acceptance to unblock the account for full usage I stand to be corrected though.. Just read it from their site [/quote] 2 Likes |

Emmane: 1. No one really knows exactly what the VO look at in SOA aside from its authenticity. My advice is be sure your SOA is all inclusive, i.e authentic, has the required amount, and void of unexplanable bulk deposits. 2. Print your SOA, the company's SOA, and the sponsorship letter should specify that the money was moved to your salary account. 3a. Everyone has a reason for staying there eventually. Yes, the work permit and a prospect for future endeavours. In all, everyone has his or her specific reason for staying. 3b. I really do not have an answer for this question. But, i will suggest you get your trv first and worry about that when you get to that bridge in x years time. Peace... It will end in praises for us all. 1 Like |

Emmane:. Please don't be mis-informed, V.O's pay particular attention to every details of an account statement. I want to reiterate emphatically that details of a statement of account is more important to the V.Os than the closing balance. Mind you, it's not also to say that the closing balance of an account statement is not important, but the details (inflow, outflow, source of money....) are all important to the V.O's and not just the closing balance. I asked because my company will be funding my studies as my sponsors. I asked because the finances will be transferred to my Salary Account. Is that Okay? Or will it raise eye brow? It may raise an eyebrow if all the I's are not dotted and all the T's not crossed Aside the Sponsorship letter, study leave letter, employment letters, what else can I use as a backup to support this sponsorship? Aside from your company providing the finance for your study and providing you with study leave letter and statement of account, your company has to clearly and logically explain to the V.O why they're sponsoring you for that program and esp why Canada and not Nigeria. What has been your contribution to the development of the company that made the company interested in sending you for the course outside nigeria. How long have you been working with the company and what's your position there. How does your intended course stand to benefit the company upon arrival. What do you plan to do after your international academic experience and exposure. Finally..... people finish their programme and do not come back, Im keen to knw what keeps them there. I know canada gives a 1yr work permit for a 1yr program, but in if its an organization sponsored programme, will I be given work permit there after my progrom? The choice is yours as to accepting the 1 year postgraduate work experience. If you seek international work experience, fine! If you don't, fine!. But you def have the chance of getting a Post graduate work permit. One common reason why most people stay back after study is for employment and better life. Sorry for not receiving response so far for your query. N.B- please try to establish good home ties and also demostrate good and solid PERSONAL FINA NC AND ASSETS. declares your personal assets and also maintain a good and reasonable amount in your S.O.A that commeasure with your age, work experience and monthly income. 1 Like 1 Share |
