Nonsense, what's wrong with participating in the games, Nigeria is secular but has a lot of xtains and Muslims. So if there is a games for christains, Muslim association will now say Nigeria cannot attend because she is not a christain country

Nigeria is a secular state where we have both Muslims and Christians, Now CAN is writing federal government to stop Nigeria from participating in a sport because the organisers are Muslims but there is nothing bad if we participate in any sport organised by Christians or atheist.
my question is how does individual either christian or Buddhist participating in a general sport organised by Muslims affect the individual religion.
this is pure hate of Islam with no logical reason.
You shall have read the whole text before posting this misleading comment. It's obvious where you belong.

i wont be suprised if some christians participate in this event because of money, click the link of the countries and see the official partners and sponsors you'll be amazed, you know this guys are also no joke when it comes to mulla. on the other hand i hope this administration is not trying to convince the world that we are an Islamic nation.

point of correction, the said sport is purely and solely for ISLAMIC COUNTRIES, and Nigerian is NOT AN ISLAMIC COUNTRY. it's not about the sport, it's about the wrong message her participation will be sending out if allowed to participate. if it was a normal sporting event without any embargo on religion, it's would have been OK but coz is purely for Islamic countries, then it's a no no for Nigeria to participate.

Where is MURIC? If it is them , heaven Will fall. Elements of backwardness and inferiority complex, always fighting for their god. Nigeria remain secular forever , there is nothing any one can do about the fact. Stop all these self deceits.

The link provided showed countries with lesser muslim population like Uganda, Cameroun, Benin Republic, and Togo participating. Then I wonder why can would make an issue out of this.

There's nothing wrong with Nigeria participating at the Islamic games as long as the government is not sponsoring it. If the government is sponsoring it then that would be a real shame.

Bros, there is everything wrong. By participating, we are telling the rest of the world that Nigeria is an Islamic country and other countries will take it like that. Nigeria is a secular country with no official religion unlike the mid east countries. We shouldn't have anything to do with it except they are going to adopt any other name other than Nigeria.

My issue is the way the organizers made the sport seem...like it's for only Muslims by Muslims

You can't even find our colonial masters; England on the list, talk less of America, yet they have Muslims living withing those countries

It's not because the organisers are muslim. There are organisers of all religions throughout secular international sport and athletics events. It's because it is specifically for "muslim nations" where people take issue. Islam is not the national religion of Nigeria. Nigeria is not a Muslim nation. Nigeria is a secular country. And thank fvck for that.

It is creepy how politically connected the muslim religion is to governments and society - it is far more intrusive than any other religion in the modern day and age.

And LMAO what major "Christian" sports organisations are there?

Major sports organisations are dedicated to secularism - there is zero muslim, Christian or "atheist" swing to it. Silly ass muslims can't see from any position outside their own.
