I can not see this country in unity when it comes to anything, separation is definately inevitable. God have mercy. |

Honestly, I find it hard to figure out why CAN will always put itself into issues that are of no absolute importance. It clearly show that they are filled with bigotry elements, miscreants, hypocrites and deep haters of Islam and muslims. So what if Nigeria take part in the Islamic event? Does it make everyone in Nigeria a muslim? Does it really potray the country as an Islamic state? Other African countries (Cameron, Togo, Ivory Cost and several others) will also take part. Does it makes them Islamic states. Lets tell our self the truth. CAN must be seen as a respectable body which should commit itself in maintaining peace not by playing a role of an opposition party. ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!!! 4 Likes |

Nigeria Cameroon Togo Seirra Leone Uganda Ivory coast Gambia Gabon Mozambique Benin What do this nations all have in common, they are all members of the "OIC : organization of Islamic Cooperation". Can we say all dis nations too are purely Islamic nation?? infact out of all the 57 members states, about 25 is from africa alone, why are they members, its simple becs they know dey will gain from benefits of the OIC. I don't see xtain citizen of does country complaining, alawys nigerian xtain who are not accommodating and always diabolical about everything with their victim mentality. no one is forcing anyone to participate, neither is nigeria an Islamic or xtain nation. besides IBB signed Nigeria as a member b4 1989. Am an atheist, comma beat me... 1 Like |

adebaks: I wonder why it always seem this way with Islam...just like nairaland where you have to SWEAR AN OATH just to comment on a Muslim thread Does that make sense?? when you get to the religion section you see ISLAM FOR MUSLIMS as the only segregation, while the rest of the open section is for any other person that isn't them Let the Muslims come and tell me why there is no freedom of speech and choice as individuals 1 Like |

HeroicMeastro: Why is France not a member then, when 10% of it's population is Muslim? Stop deluding yourself, this is yet another attempt by the Islamic Heartland to further entrench it's religion in Subsaharan African countries, and pull them under islamic influence. It's funny because all of the member countries have significant Muslim populations, and all of them have active jihadist groups (a.k.a "Western Education is Forbidden" a.k.a. "Boko Haram" a.k.a. "We're a bunch of brainless murderous retards" , along with Al-Shabaab in East Africa). Shouldn't encourage the religion that produces these mad monsters. 1 Like |

Mcowubaba:The question is why didn't CAN fight GEJ to remove Nigeria from the OIC? Its issues like this that make CAN look like a branch of the PDP. PS: The government also sponsors Pilgrimage but because CAN and its members enjoy from the funds spent on Pilgrimage, they usually don't remember Nigeria is a secular nation. |

All these religious bodies of CAN and MURICH....ah ah! Are these people truly representative of the followers behind them? Or they're simply serving their agenda? During the last administration, MURICH were the ones Shouting Wolf!!!! While CAN were riding the horse. Now the table have turned. I don't believe any of them were fighting for the betterment of the common man. Concerning this sport of the thing, CAN should have talked against membership of OIC instead of this sport. For as long as Nigeria is a member, Nigerians would attend the organised sport. But, realistically, what did CAN say, even in the mildest form, when Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan attended and led a delegation to Cairo to attend OIC meeting? Did CAN say anything against that? All of us usually let emotions becloud us away from the truth. |

Islam is just a shitty medieval Arab religion of war that killed enough people and invaded enough countries to be considered an "international religion". The revolts against the Catholic Church and the French Revolution dealt a powerful blow to religious states and fundamentalism in Europe, but it still thrives in these control-freak god-fearing nations of the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. Thankfully the Maghreb is slowly de-islamizing. |
