Emmane:to to ikeja high court(inside the compound) and ask the securities there that you want to notarize your documents (though the securities will want to cut ur head with price but no fear). How many documents do u intend doing? The more the volume the cheaper it gets. Bargain wella ooo cos I did about 6 documents for around 2k. |

Good day proficient experts on this platform.. Please does the new cic policy that one must pay entire tuition fee and show a sum of money available in Canada for the first year.. Please does it affect those that get funding? Because a friend of my recently got funding of $19,000 at university of Saskatchewan that covers his tuition and living expenses for the first year. Secondly, I am a fresh first class graduate (cgpa of 4.71 of 5.00). I will like to apply to university of Toronto due to the availability of guarantee funding that covers tuition and living expenses of 15,500 for the first year. Can someone share experience about university of Toronto Admission? Thanks |

willyboss:Hmmm..Let's actually see the inference of the officer on your case. This is actually unfair. So would they say between march and when you applied for your visa, you had deviated from mech eng? Mehn, i'm really looking forward to your GCMS. |

Congratulations to your friend. I will advice your friend to register on this forum and follow this thread for first class information. I am afraid that if we pass the message through you to him, there might be loss of transmission. That is, there is a risk that important bits in the message might be lost unintentionally. ademcoboy: 5 Likes |

Austinpee4: The problem is largely due to the fact that the VO doesn't see him as a genuine student. Haba you just joined your friend in business and you even went as far as providing evidence of the existence of the business and all of all sudden, you drifted away from the business and decided to pursue a Master’s degree. I might be inclined to align my thoughts on this with that of the VO. Your business according to you is a growing concern, ordinarily, an average man would at this point when his business is gathering momentum be inclined to focus more on his business rather than pursuing an academic exercise. If you're doing otherwise, then something is fishy, and the VO might have been confused as to your agenda in Canada. What is even more is that you could have pursued the program in Nigeria where you could easily monitor your business growth. In short your agenda is unclear to the VO and from my little experience about Canadian Study permit, these VOS loves clarity and anything slightly unclear to them will most likely be resolved against the applicant. Now below are what the VO must have thought about you: He didn't believe that your business is a growing concern as you've painted it to be, otherwise, why would you want to pursue an academic exercise at this point when your business is gathering momentum? Am sure you must have stated in your application form that your current activity is business, flowing from this, anything you do should have been business inclined. Infact, in this regard or context, a pgc or diploma in business would have been more sellable than a M.eng. At least it's quite related to your current activity. The funny thing is that you must have overwhelmingly talked about your business in an attempt to use it as hometie not being conscious of the lack of relationship it has with your proposed program. My advise, if you intend to scale through, omit the business in your next application. At best, you can just mention your position in the firm or company perhaps as an engineering consultant. But the moment you state that you're a partner in the business, then a VO may find it hard to comprehend the relevance of your M.eng degree to your career in Business. As far as the VO is concerned now, you're a confused person who doesn't know what he wants ultimately. When it comes to study permit, you must choose a career path and stick by it no matter what. You have the duty to be consistent throughout your application. @Austipee4, I read your recommendation and that of @MichV, They're quite compelling, I sincerely hope @willyboss takes the hint. Pls take this hint. CC @willyboss 9 Likes |

Pls am a little confused. My offer letter didn't come with the tuition fee clearly stated, but a breakdown of the tuition into 9 semesters the program duration (which is 546cad per semester) . Pls do I calculate the tuition for the first year or the total of 9 semesters and fill d form in the part stating funds available/tuition? N/B I have a sponsor Pls treat as urgent Thank you |

Good evening Gurus in the house. I have been a silent follower of this thread and truly appreciative of the efforts to provide solutions to each other’s concerns. Perhaps Osemigho can now add me to the list of TRV Hopefuls. I submitted my TRV application on 26 April 2017 (online) and did biometrics on the next day. Got PhD in Law admission at Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) with guaranteed funding of $20,000 CAD for 3 years, to commence in September 2017. Submitted a personal account of almost 4M, with letter of introduction from employer, copies of previous visas, academic certificates, land documents, shares certificates, CAC documents of private company (which I operate as PP, lol). Married with two kids – wife and kids to remain in Nigeria. Other documents… Profile Bachelor of Laws - Ogun State University (2008) Barrister at Law – Abuja Law School (2009-2010) Served (NYSC) and worked with the law firm of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (2010 – 2012) Master of Laws – University College London (2013). Lived in London for a year. Been working since 2013 with a 1st-tier commercial law firm in Nigeria Was on secondment to a city law firm in London for four months in 2015 Done professional programs at Harvard Law School (Boston, US) and International Court of Arbitration (Paris, France) Travelled to UK (tier 2, tier 4 and visiting visas), US (3 visas since 2013), France, Ireland, UAE, and Japan Refused Canada visiting visa in 2008 and 2012 for scheduled conferences Concerns Please gurus in the house, can my previous refusals re visiting visa applications affect my study permit application. Also I disclosed that my children were born in the US. Can this have a negative effect on my application – particularly home ties, although my kids were brought back immediately after delivery and are with me here in Nigeria? Many thanks for your responses Sirs/Mesdames. 6 Likes |

yemdogg:Absolutely. Exactly what i would think. Your points addresses all unforeseen inconsistency and inadequacy. Who ever choosed the VOs for accra office would have known africans especially nigerians too well. They meticulously review our applications to an unbelievable extent. Those folks are are so so unpredictable! |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by yemdogg: 5:22pm On May 12, 2017 |
Smartlawyer: With this your profile, who am i to comment on your queries. Lol in any event, I go talk ma own. Your previous refusals will not affect your study permit application. Except you were classed/categorized as inadmissible in Canada due primarily to Misrepresentation, Submitting Forged/Fake documents and/or Security concerns. In absence of the above, then you should worry less about the previous refusals. I hope you declared the refusals in your study permit application form anyway? If not, then you should be aggressively apprehensive about the outcome of your application. Since your Family lives in Nigeria now legally, I'd worry less about family ties to Nigeria. Did you include any personal asset in your application aside from the liquidated funds in your account? 1 Like |

AYOT12: you might not get answered.. Why?? because u dashed an agent money only to come here and ask for help... We dont encourage the use of agent here, as people in here have proved that it cn be done without donating money to agents...lol My advice to you will be to ask the agent to show you a copy of the so called mail from CIC and confirm if its genuine. Also, check @canadiannurse profile and check his/her post as he/she received similar mail from CIC. For your information CIC has a deadline for which the requested must be fulfilled, usually a month. You must fulfill both requirement before the deadline. Goodluck. |

yemdogg: Yes bro. I indeed declared the previous refusals (which refusals I got owing to my naivety). I included 2 of my landed properties and shares certificates. I also stated that I run a book publishing firm which is extra source of funding - I included CAC certificates for the coy. |

AYOT12:are u telling me u haven't seen the message cic sent or u don't have access to the mail? I can see u are not involved in this and I pray u don't have issues of misinterpretation of facts later. Tell ur agent to show u the message and from there u will know what to do. I think u should have done the medical as soon as the message from cic came in. U have paid an agent doesn't mean u should leave everything to him (that's if u must usee an agent), read previous pages and see what agents have done to pple . Be wise bro |

Please help me out here, I've got a couple of questions: 1. What should a minor include in his statement of purpose? Or what should the statement of purpose of a minor, who only recently graduated high school look like? 2. Are minors required to provide a police record? 3. Are Visa application processing time of minors accelerated? Thanks! |

ademcoboy:Congrats to your friend, and it's great to see your very high CGPA. I'd suggest you apply to several schools, not just UofT... they get many competitive applicants... a high CGPA doesn't guarantee admission. As CGPA is just one of many criteria for admission, be sure to put together a strong SOP and/or research statement.
