mctowel01:Ok , then why engineers Australia has written that an engineering manager should typically have 7 years of experience as civil engineer before he can demonstrate sufficient abilities as engineering manager, and then he should have 3 years experience as engineering manager. You are right that I should keep calm but I don't think EA will defy what they have written themselves, so they can't ignore my experience as civil engineer |

Kamal474:I understand what you mean. You re saying EA might include the civil engineering years along with the managerial years, due to their stated requirements . Truth is this will be depend on the understanding of the assessor of your application. So just leave it and await the decision. |

Azy123: Westerners don't see big deal in married women retaining their surnames, in fact it is quite common in their societies. All you need do is prove that your relationship is genuine. You might want to take a cue from my personal experience below to determine which option suits you. But be aware that having different names on different documents usually complicates DIBP processing, i doubt if you can escape CO contact. My wife renewed her passport when we started our PR journey and still retained her maiden name as surname in conformity with her other documents; we proved our relationship by presenting below documents; Our son's birth certificate (her surname still maiden name) Letter from my HMO stating she and the baby are my dependents HMO ID cards in my company's name Correspondence emails between me and HMO when she was being added to my plan Marriage Certificate (Religious body) Notarization document from court stating she's married to me and she's not changing her surname We are still awaiting grant and have got 1 CO contact relating to PCC (nothing on prove of relationship or use of maiden name) 1 Like |

Hi everyone, I was sent the message below by EA cos I had earlier told them that my school is on strike and I cant send my transcript through them.On checking the portal,I didnt see any link on additional information that they talked about.I Only saw that I am in stage 1 of assessment when I check my profile.Has anybody experienced this from them? 'Engineers Australia has started assessing your MSA CDR (Application ID : *****). Engineers Australia is seeking additional information to progress the assessment of your application. This information is requested by 16 November 2017. You can view and complete this information request by logging into Engineers Australia's myPortal. Kind regards, Engineers Australia' I will appreciate a response from the gurus or anyone. Thanks in advance! |

fonseca1929: i thought the uploaded scan copy of transcript is sufficient? are they requesting you also send in a hard copy from your university? |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 1:19pm On May 16, 2017 |
morakky: Write a CDR as an electrical engineer. You can use your undergraduate project and IT to write it. You can get the process done faster than going with network administrator. |

morakky: EA is for engineering. If you are assessing your Engineering degree,it has to be EA.However, check whether it is electrical or electronics that will favour you more in terms of their competitiveness. |

morakky:Write the the CDR as a telecoms engineer. It suits your work experience and qualification. EA hardly give Electrical engineer especially when you lack some specific roles done in power. Such roles are rarely done at undergraduate level. |

Jbelieve: The £45 includes delivery to a UK and overseas address But the overseas delivery is just standard mail which in most cases takes a long time to get to naija..so you can do the optional international courier for an additional £48 When I did mine before, I sent it to a UK address and someone brought it down for me to naija..There's always someone coming back from England every now and then.. 1 Like |

@bellong and other seniors in the house I have a family friend who is very keen to move out of the country and Australia is one of the favorites. He has 15 years of work experience while the wife has 10 years and they have both managed an agro-based enterprise together for the past 10 years. He has HND Accountancy while the wife has BA/B.Ed English. The major concern is their ages: The man is 52 while the wife is 45 so having the required points is almost impossible. I have personally reviewed visa subclasses 132 and 188; the required net assets are very high! I estimate the net assets of the couple to be about 185,000 AUD. What alternative routes do you think they can take? Any suggestions? cc: WellEndowed |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by mctowel01: 5:04pm On May 16, 2017 |
40manlappy:PR eligibility states that applicant must be below 50years at the point of applying. So i think he is not eligible for subclasses 189/190 |

happy4lucy: Go there with the mind of wanting to have a discussion with a friend or colleague....free your mind You can prepare scripted answers for obvious questions like; tell me about yourself? do you work or study? etc If you are asked a question whose answer is YES, you might want to say ABSOLUTELY rather than boringly saying YES If you don't know the answer to a question, say UNFORTUNATELY or REGRETTABLY before saying you don't know, never boringly say NO IDEA Finally don't wait for the examiner to tell you to speak on......use all your time to speak Those are some of the simple tricks I applied and had 8. There're lots of IELTS materials littered on this thread, seek and you shall find. 2 Likes 1 Share |

mctowel01: Thanks bro, I know that but I am considering the wife as PA. She is still under 50 but the age (45) will give her zero points. What are the possibilities? |
