Like Nwobodo, Like Muazzam.. We have seen their ability at youth level. I would not advocate for a direct national team place for an NPFL player unless they prove themselves at a higher stage, whether at CHAN, Caf competitions or at age-group teams. Why? Because we have seen many that flatter to deceive.

As regards Obaje, it is just my personal assessment. I am not sold on him. Yes, he will most likely be invited but I will love to see real youth at CHAN.

Eagles Ace Olarewaju Kayode Wins Top Scorer & Bundesliga Player Of The Year Award



Super Eagles forward Olarewaju Kayode has been voted the best player in the Austrian Bundesliga following his spectacular showing for Austria Wien.

If a player is scores 25 goals in the Malaysian league, will you call for his invitation? You will want to see what he can do in a better league... That is simply my opinion with the NPFL. The quality is not great so i would prefer to see players perform at a higher level. The player might be world class but he has to show it.

The call for home based players did not start today. We have seen it before...
