The Super Eagles of Nigeria had a close door training session at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium ahead of their AFCON 2019 Qualifiers game against South Africa on Saturday.

West Ham Target Iheanacho Speaks On Potential Exit From Man City



Super Eagles of Nigeria and Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has spoken out about his future at the Etihad amidst rumours of a potential move to West Ham.


20 year old Iheanacho is in the camp of the senior team of Nigeria preparing for Saturday AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against South Africa ‎, but his
future has continued to dominate the news both in the local and foreign press.


Known for his goal scoring abilities, he has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester City this season following the emergence of Gabriel Jesus, and despite signing a new deal last summer, he looks certain to depart the club this summer.


However in an interview with the BBC World Service Iheanacho said he is not aware of talks with any team on a move away from City despite talks about a potential move to West Ham being held back by issues bordering on buy back clause fee.


” I don’t know about that news though but all I know is am still at Man City, I’m still a City player so all the news that is going on and on, this team wants to buy you and this team wants to buy you, actually I don’t know about all those news”, Iheanacho said.


“Because as we finished the season everyone went on holiday. So I think that not only me has not been playing, the manager rotates the players, the squad, so that everyone can have game time.


“So I know I should be complaining that I’m not having game time but as well as some other players who are not having game time. So what if everyone starts complaining ?, we are one squad so everyone is not going to play at the same time”.

Liverpool-bound striker Dominic Solanke, Tottenham Hotspur's Josh Onomah and Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori have expressed their joy after England qualified for their first World Cup final in over fifty years following their 3-1 win over Italy in the Fifa U20 World Cup on Thursday.


Three players of Nigerian parentage Solanke, Ojo and Lookman played key roles against the Italians, with the Chelsea man bagging a brace, the Everton winger tallied his third goal in South Korea, while the Liverpool starlet was involved in the build-up to two goals.

Yes as Komekn stated you have to go through the NFF. Until 2011 the license is given directly by FIFA. Being an agent is a profession. Hence, there is no restriction as regards gender. Also in 2015 FIFA replaced the FIFA Agents Regulations with new regulations. In fact football agents are now called intermediaries. There are no qualifications besides that you have to be at least 18 I think.

Steps to take
1. Registration
You will have to register with NFF. And it a yearly membership fee. I am not an intermediary else I would have had the info handy lol.
I believe there are documents you will need to sign form my research, by FIFA standards, an Intermediary Declaration and you need to satisfy the requirements of a "Test of Good Conduct"(naija na naija).


I will encourage good networking. In fact in any field of endeavor the advantage of networking cannot be overemphasized. My suggestion is to register for one of the membership packages at thenff.com (http://www.thenff.com/membership-tiers/).
This will give you an opportnunity to start to rub shoulders with people with like minds.

Also plan to draft a Representation Contract agreement. Which you would use in future to establish binding contracts between you and your clients.

Since there are no entry requirements to become an intermediary here are some skills that will come in handy:

– Work experience with a sports agency: Contact agencies to see if there are any internships/jobs available. That way you will get to know people in the industry and learn about the procedures.
– Contacts within football industry: In this business, connections are very important. They help you reach more players and clubs making your job as an intermediary much easier.
– Legal knowledge: It might come as a surprise but an intermediary needs a lot of knowledge about contract law. It is common for intermediaries to have a law degree or some other type of law education.
– Business knowledge: The other part of your job will be negotiating so business knowledge is also very important.
– Football knowledge: You will need to understand the game of football and how to spot talent. After all, better clients mean more income for you.
– Social skills: Intermediary doesn’t only take care of contract negotiations. A lot of times he also takes the role of player’s PR. He often even gives advice to players regarding their personal issues.

Details Of Eagles Close Door Session – Alampasu Impresses , Ogu Pushing To Start

The training session of the Super Eagles of Nigeria which was held behind close doors wasn’t entirely closed to Owngoalnigeria.com eagle eyed correspondent Osas Mahawi.

According to Mahawi the session had two different sections, one being tactical and the other a two a-side game played under the watchful eyes of coach Gernot Rohr.

As customary shooting practice was held after the session with Alampasu distinguishing himself between the stick with fine reflexes, just like he did during the training game and tactical drills.

John Ogu is still one of the top performers in training, and could edge Oghenekaro Etebo in the battle for a spot in the midfield of the team ahead of Saturday’s game against South Africa.

The possibles which we won’t reveal did drills with the coach against players who are not guaranteed to start, with emphasis more on how to attack, defend and also goal scoring.

They will have their final session today before the coach will name his squad, although not much changes if any at all is expected from the line up published by this portal yesterday.
