At the start, Kante was being deployed as a holding midfielder which was never his best position. In the role, he couldn't be at his best nor offer the needed intensity into Chelsea midfield, hence the whole poor play. It's a good thing that Conte realised that soon enough. And the only wingback that added intensity on the wing was Moses.

Victor wouldn't have been bought if Rojo was fit or there was a guarantee that Bailly, Smalling and Jones will stay fit till January. That's my thought. I think Jose wants the league next season, so none of Jones or Smalling is going. Although we could free Darmian.

All the defenders will rumble, and the best will come on top. There will be plenty matches to play and there will be injuries. Even Bailly had his poor time, before Jones and Rojo combo which brought confidence to our defence in November and December, Bailly was making mistakes. Towards the end of the season, those mistakes started surfacing again.

I think those people who are saying sell this, sell that are making a mistake.
