Yeah, many Ethiopians visit Kenya and there's a sizeable Ethiopian community in Nairobi and Nakuru. In Nairobi's Kilimani neighborhood there's an Ethiopian church and Ethiopian restaurant. There's this popular Ethiopian girl living in Kenya who runs a fancy Ethiopian restaurant and uses Facebook to advertise her business.

I live in Kenya and I visit Mombasa frequently. I have family living in Mombasa. I'll be visiting Mombasa next in August.

Hausas are small minorities in the other 12 northern states and are mostly settlers there (non-indigenous). Apart from maybe (Bauchi state)

Maras and Samia are at the complete opposite sides of understanding amogst luhyas. They struggle to understand each other, many a time they use swa to communicate, i have an example where i work where two of my colleagues are from both groups and they agree it's hard to understand the others dialect. I think they're therefore separate tribes. Some say the groups with several sub tribes emerged as a tribe during the colonial era for administrative purposes and for political purposes in forming KADU. . For example, before '52 all kalenjins were simply referred to as "Nandi" whereas there was a curious term called "Kavirondo" that grouped both luos and many of the luhya sub tribes. Agitation for separate identities and a need to form political parties actually created groups like kalenjin who have a similar dichotomy in spoken language between them as the luhyas do. Indeed many kale friends of mine tell me of how one innocent word in one dialect can be a complete insult in another. I think some languages within each subtribe have diverged sufficiently enough to become separate languages and hence tribes. It's like how Dutch and Afrikaans have evolved and developed separately to become different inspite of common origins.. I'd say the divergence of English from German would be a good example too.

I think it depends. Many Bantus are watered down by admixture and not all nilotes look strong also because of admixtures(eg pokots - I hear they're good with AK47s though )

Bantus do well in sports like football, boxing, weight lifting, short distance running while nolotes do well in endurance sports like long distance. Their bodies are slender.

I guess original nilotes were giants of people. See the Sudanese for instance - they're a purer form of nilotes than Kenyan and Ugandan Nilotes. BTW phenotypes suggest Cushites are a mix of nilotes and Arabs. Can the Ethiopians on this thread say something about that?

Let me explain it like this:-
Cushites are the people who speak Cushite languages. The ancestor of Cushitic is Afro-Asiatic. Afro-Asiatic originated in the Horn of Africa. All Ethiopians and different Afro-Asiatic speaking people were one people and spoke one language(Afro-Asiatic) around 10,000 BC. Afro-Asiatic started to branch to other sub languages after 10,000 BC.

Nilo-Sharan is an independent Super family language like Afro-Asiatic. The ancestor of Afro-Asiatic was Proto-Afroasiatic, but the ancestor of Nilo-Sharan isn't. So those super family languages don't have common ancestor, which means Cushites has nothing to do with Nilotes.

The ancestor of Bantu family languages is Niger-Congo super family language. Niger-Congo super family language doesn't have the same ancestor with Afro-Asiatic super family language, which means Cushites has nothing to do with Bantus.

So the answer to your question is Cushite people aren't the mix of Bantus and Nilotes. The ancestor of Cushite people was Afro-Asiatic speaking people around 10,000. Semitic, Omotic, Berbers, Chadic and Ancient Egypt family language speaking people were/are sister of Cushitic speaking people.
