A lot of demanding issues...

I was preparing for the first semester examination starting on Tuesday and also had deadlines to meet with assignments and other assessments.

In the midst of it, I received bad news about my elder brother who is in the hospital diagnosed of acute kidney disease.

The left kidney is completely bad, the right is very weak. He is on a run of dialysis. .

This is really bad news. May God almighty restore him. Our prayers are with him.

Did you work for COREN that you intend to use their stamp on your reference letter? The company that gave the reference should stamp it.

It is normal friend. It is called request for additional information. Usually these kind of information are requested when an assessor needs further clarification as per your documentation.

I experienced the same thing during my qualification assessment with EA. I was asked to provide reference letters for my work experience despite the fact that I did not apply for the assessment of my work experience .

Don't be panic friend, just supply all the information requested. Rescan your degree certificate in 600dpi and try to get the reference letter as well. If you can't get the reference letter, you can use statutory declaration of employment as an alternative. Lastly, as advised by your assessor, ensure that all the issues are addressed at once as you will not have a second chance to do so.

First of all; are you submitting ref letter for Assessment or Visa application lodgement?
Secondly; every assessing body has guidelines on the acceptable format for reference letters, at least I know SSSI does.
Now if you intend to show proof of work experience for lodging your visa app; an attestation letter / to whom it may concern on coy letterhead; dated,signed / stamped or both with the contact details of the author as well as your job description or position, salary,date of employment et' al would suffice.In addition back it up with employment letters,tax certificate, pension etc.

In the case of reference letter, my two references were not on letter heads because my present employer had a policy against using letterhead s for contractors ( IOC) and my previous company no longer exist, though I was given severance letter with letterhead. Nonetheless the two letters were fully detailed with contact info and I got a positive assessment and currently lodged visa app.

Thank you very very much for this response. I really do appreciate. I work for a company where every move you make is seen as a threat that you are leaving. I tried getting reference officially for PG studies previously from the company and the process and outcome was not funny. However, I have the company letter headed paper so I would draft what I want and get a senior colleague to sign with all his contact details. The stamp has been my headache but you just cleared that for me, thanks. I am applying for assessment with Engineers Australia.
