Why then do many of you find it a hard pill to swallow that we have light skinned people? Nigerians aren't that dark when compared to other Africans, it neither also means we don't have dark people.

I never argued that Ugandans don't speak swahili.

Northern ugandans do but most southern ugandans don't and that is why swahili is not so popular in Kampala (the capital city, located in southern Uganda).
Luganda is still the lingua franca there and to survive in Kampala you must learn to speak it.

The inhabitants of Addis Ababa are almost from all ethnic groups. The Oromos aren't majority in Addis. Most of Addis inhabitants are from a mixed backgrounds. The de facto language in Addis Ababa and Ethiopia in general is Amhargn/Amharic. In Addis, most of them at least speak broken English, so if a foreigner speak English, he/she will not going to have that much of problem communicating.
