Thank you, I will do my research
kcj6789:

Have you looked into CoQ10?

Studies point to the importance of healthy CoQ10 levels in both male and female fertility. The research articles can be found here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23912751 and here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26111777.

I have seen a gynaecologist and I've done hormonal profiling and everything came out normal. Just my Dear Husband needs to boost his count and motility that's why I want fertilsan m. A friend actually gave me Clomid but my spirit didn't let me take it until I read here about it making cyst and fibroid issues worse. Thank you for the advice.

Legendsmother , bbt charting worked for me o. That's one of the ways I confirmed that truly truly I ovulated. But like others rightly said, it tells you ovulation took place after it has happened. N its a bit tasking but worth it if bfp doesn't take long in coming.
If one has to keep doing it every month for several months, it gets tiring.
I have been doing it since last October despite not ttc then. Yes it's tiring because it need much quantity of sleep and sometimes I want to stay awake all night and moreover if I wee at 3am eh dey hard me to fall asleep back.

Today is my wedding anniversary. If you remember the story of my life I wrote and deleted you will know why my marriage is a testimony on its own. So back to the koko. This last year has been so challenging. Tests upon tests upon rude doctors upon family stress. So Tey I have forgotten how to have fun or good sex. To even plan today's outing was an herculean task. I almost wish to cancel our plans and just stay home with the TV. Anyway I will go ahead with it and hope I don't be too dry for hubby.
Let's go there!

There's only one sure way to find out, a high vaginal swab test(hvs) to rule out infection. Once that is taken care of, start taking bitters. Look for a good one like yoyo, asheitu, ruzu or you can make one at home yourself with bitterleaf or utazi leaves + scent leaves.

Then go ahead and give Fertilsan M a try for hubby. Clomid has been greatly beneficial to so many people, especially when they do not have fibroids or cysts.

However, a popular alternative to Clomid called Letrozole has been making waves here. The bitter leaf-letrozole therapy began to trend when one of our Mamas here, blossomedcherry conceived triplets using it. Check her first post (I think). Other mamas have also conceived while on letrozole, pweetiebabe, etc.

Newmum0615:
Hello everyone,

I am new here and I commend everyone for the support they are giving each other here. I want to share my story in the hope that someone may help me understand what is going on.

Long post alert (pardon the long post, I just want readers to get a background story before i ask my questions)

I have battled with symptoms of endometriosis since 2013. Although there was no definitive diagnosis, my docs said all signs pointed to endo and that getting pregnant would be hard.
I had a baby in 2015. The pregnancy crept up on us without even knowing or trying (we just got married and 4 weeks later, i found out). It was tough in the beginning with threatened abortion, and then severe morning sickness, pains and weakness throughout the journey.
At about 33 weeks, during a routine check-up, doc noticed that my amniotic fluid was low and he suggested I take rest from work and take lots of fluid and hope that it gets back to normal. All my preparations to travel to the US to have the baby was cancelled because he did not certify me fit to fly (I was leave the next week). The pregnancy continued till 38 weeks when I noticed one evening that the baby had not moved all day and some hours the previous day. I called the doc and he asked me to come to the hosp immediately. DH and I got there that night and he immediately said I was not going home, that the baby had to be delivered that day cos all efforts to make the baby move was futile. To cut the story short and move to my main problem, I had my son via CS by 1am the next morning. The surgery was successful, swift and no complications whatsoever. Apparently, the umbilical cord was tied round my son's neck and he was in distress (I thank God he clocked 2 years old this year and is healthy).
Fast forward to 16 months later, I got the all clear from my doc to start trying for another baby. I started having very long, painful and heavy periods and breast pain from nowhere. My doc put it down to hormonal issues. He suggested I go for hormonal profiling, but the month I was to go for the test, I got a BFP after 3 months of trying. I took prenatal vitamins for the 4 months preceding this.
I was elated. I had all the symptoms: severe morning sickness, vomiting, everything. Was admitted once for threatened abortion (used progesterone for 10 days), twice for diarrhoea and other times for dehydration due to excessive vomiting and not being able to hold down food or water. HCG test showed high levels and doc said everything was fine. But at my 7 weeks scan, the doc noticed that the fetus was not growing as it should. At 8 weeks, no heartbeat or significant change in size. I was told to hold on for another 3 weeks to see if any changes would occur b4 doing an evacuation. I kept praying & hoping in God. Doc said I might have had a missed abortion and that if after 10 weeks, i didn't pass out the tissue, I would go for an evacuation. I waited for another 1 week and at 12 weeks I started bleeding in the office 1 day. I rushed to the hosp and the doc said I would be prepped for an evac. I was given all necessary drugs to start contractions and we went in for the surgery. When the evacuation started, I was in serious pain. I screamed whenever the doc put in the instrument. Then the bleeding started. Serious bleeding. I bled and bled and almost passed out. God was in charge that day. An emergency laparatomy (a surgical incision into the abdominal cavity, for diagnosis or in preparation for major surgery) had to be done to find out the cause of bleeding. My abdomen was filled with blood. The anesthesiologist was called in. Oxygen was given to me. Blood bags were called for from the blood bank cos my PCV went from the normal 36 to 23. I was awake during the procedure and they flushed out the blood, cleared the baby tissue and used the opportunity to remove the 5.3 ovarian cyst growing in there. I had some fibroid tissue but doc had said it was not serious enough to warrant any attention. Doc said my uterus was punctured during the evac, but that he was able to repair it and that I would have no problems conceiving but that my next delivery must be through CS without getting into labour. I came out alive and spent 1 week in the hosp b4 I was discharged. The doc said that the baby was growing close to the previous CS scar and that I may have had placenta previa cos the placenta didnt move up the way it should cos of the scar.
So apparently, according to the doc, the bleeding was from the placenta that was blocking the cervix. The surgery was in March and I am on my healing journey, although it was not as fast and easy as my previous CS.
This is July and I still feel pain in my pelvis like the endo symptoms. My periods are still heavy and painful and I still see blood even after the period supposed to have ended. I have had 2 periods since the surgery but I had to go to the hosp and was prescribed oral contraceptives to normalize the cycle. I have finished the drugs but I have not noticed any significant improvement. Still waiting for the next cycle this July to see if there are any. I was given antibiotics for this recurrent pain and told to wait out the other cycle to see if everything normalizes, but I am scared and hope that I won't have a hard time getting pregnant again. I don't know what caused the issue with the other pregnancy.
Doc says I can start trying again by the end of the year but I am scared because all these symptoms are not giving me hope and I am not sure if I would have healed well by then. My periods used to be so regular but now they are erratic cry. I had a 30 day interval between this last 2 periods. My periods have always been 25-26 days interval. I don't even know if I am ovulating again.
Sorry for the long story, I just want to know if anyone is having the same signs and what they did or are doing about it. How long do you think I should wait before trying again? I am hoping in God for a miracle pregnancy without stress. I just need another baby and then I hands off this baby business. It is stressing me out.

Whoa lengthy but detailed post. You need to be close to your doctor at this point. Follow his orders strictly. It is obvious your tubes are fine even if you have endo. You will soon be pregnant dear. Just relax and take prenatal vitamins. Date all.

Mamas please I need suggestions.

AF showed today after being 2days late on one round of clomid. I really don't know what the issue is. What's the next step?
I need to mention that three or two days before AF was due, I had little bleeding but very very very very very dark blood. Has someone experienced such? What does that indicate? Would you guys suggest I try clomid again?

One thing I experience since I started this journey was spotting a week before period, which my Dr has no answer to. I feel like that's a major issue. With clomid, I think I spotted but very very little, only noticed when I wiped, unlike before that I had to use panty liner.

I plan on doing a detox and maybe deworm this time. What can I use for the detox and deworming? Also what can I use to improve cm quantity and quality?

Lastly, what effective drugs improves sperm.cell motility. DH count is very ok,we just wish to improve motility.

Abeg make una put mouth, I'm just a tired, I need help. God knows I prayed and believed in my heart that this would be my month.

For mama's in the east, I heard life hospital Nnewi is the best. The doc there is an experienced doc , heard he trained most successful gyns around. High success rate in his fertility treatment.

I just remembered he did ivf for a colleague abt a year back and she conceived, though she later lost the preggy around 6months.

A friend is currently undergoing iui there, she said they ran all the tests again including laparoscopy. The cost so far is under 200k.

She used letrozole and her eggs were so big, the time for the hubby to do the do, hubby had emergency and traveled. Still on the matter , she is doing iui this cycle.
