I've seen only one professional builder that did this for a client on here and the structure was for a friend.

since its not a raft foundation it might not have any structural defect on it,the only issue here is that with time there will be capillary movement of water from the ground encroaching to the walls at the super structure where by leaving the walls damp .These is a major cause of flaking of paints at the lower part of buildings .It also gives room to insects and rodents to penetrate the ground floor of buildings that has no German floor. though I tried persuade him to do German floor even if its not more than 3 inches thickness he refused .Gave me instances of houses his friends and relations have built without German floor.

10 columns ,we used about 1200 blocks for the foundation

35 bags of cement were used for the foundation,1200 blocks ,10 tonnes of gravel and 10 tonnes of sand .

I used over 300 tons of laterite on my site. But OP should use way less.

I think I was paying N17K per 20 ton.

yes,some area only required just 3 courses of blocks

My brother i perfectly understand the situation.
Many of these clients are difficult to convince when it comes to money.
Especially this german floor, many of them always avoid it.

yes we have done the filing, we did some digging inside the plot to fill the building,and we also bought 20 tonnes of fillings too

10 is not too much l have 19 on mine including the court yard.

how prices of building materials just hang up there!!!! tot with the new exchange rate, cement and other things wld have come down a bit
