I guess the naira will weaken (a little) in the coming weeks?
Or will the CBN keep pumping dollar with a lower oil price?

Maybe a fine and possible removal/structuring of management, but I doubt if they would be found guilty. Those cowboys have good lawyers, in fact they are lawyers themselves. The problem is they deceived shareholders to approve so many illegalities using capital raising exercise as the backbone.

Watch most of their statements they would tell you they got shareholders approval. Oando under Wale is a big fraud and I would continue to say it. He needs to resign with all his management team.

But this is NIGERIA where u can kill someone for no reason and go free if ur connected...i just hope they r found guilty and punished to send a msg to other COY listed on the exchange to be careful.

The NSE can not claim ignorance, I remember vividly during the days of stockmarket Nigeria website, where most guys I respect so much in investing where raising the red flag countless number of times about Oando (At a point I was arguing wrongly). They saw it long coming and they pulled out all their investmets in Oando and never went back.

Wale is a killer, he killed Oando. Forget about the ConocoPhillips deal. God exposed him. They never had the interest of minority shareholders at heart going into that deal. If Oil price had stayed up, they would have diverted so much including divesting most holdings to their cronies.

Have you tried going through Oando financials: Oando bahamas, Oando this & that, so many sub companies under one company you begin to wonder. Go and check the shareholding structure of Oando Energy Resources, the same way they are diluting Oando plc Nigeria, is the same way they are diluting shares in Oando Energy resources.

At the end, the real Oando shareholders own nothing in all this deal. But they are quick to raise capital from minority shareholders. God will punish Wale & Co.

I feel you bro. I was also among those who were arguing blindly about oando on SMN. I have learnt my lessons and that is why i will not buy into some companies on the nse now no matter the temptation.

Its quite painful, I pulled out of Oando after loosing money, I had to learn the hard way. Oando is not better that FlourMills, yet FlourMills manages all its subsidiaries prudently and you can clearly see the benefits accruing to all shareholders. But with Oando, 3 Wise Men running the Group feel they are smarter than everybody. See subsidiaries under one company yet no tangible profit:

Gaslink Nigeria Limited - 6,950,847
Oando Exploration and Production Limited 3,895,788 3,896,152
Oando Gas and Power Limited - 1,000

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by stcool(m): 5:42pm On Jul 17, 2017
Oando disposed off key assets of the company including;

Sale of Marketing, refining and terminals and Supply & Trading Companies

Sale of Gas & Power entities

Sale of Akute Power

Sale of Oando Energy Services

Without any recourse to shareholders. Most of this assets where sold at very huge losses. Take Oando Energy services as example;

On 31 December 2015, a Share Purchase and Sale Agreement ("SPA"wink to sell the entire issued share capital of Oando Energy Services Limited ("OES"wink to OES Integrated Services Limited (the
buyer), a Nigerian company, under a Management Buy-out (MBO) arrangement was signed. A no objection consent was obtained by SEC on 31 March 2016. Oando Energy Services was in a
net liability position of N20.92billion and was disposed for a consideration of $1. Consequently the Group lost control and derecognized assets & liabilities of the entity.
A gain/(loss) on disposal of N21.4billion and (N46.97billion), have been recognized in the consolidated financial statement and separate financial statement respectively

Oando is a great Company...but Wale is the hindrance. Let him resign and you will see price shoot up!

I said this 2yrs ago but some doubted it Wale Tinubu and his gangs are the WOLF of CUSTOM STREET.

For long OANDO Shareholders fund has been in the negative territory.

By the time they are through with the investigation SHARE RECONSTRUCTION will set in.

That is why no matter what TOE does with transcorp I just look and laugh. I jump & pass. Why did he divest transcorp hotel? The day the power business sees the light of the day is the day he would borrow billions, call for rights and divest to payback loan. Look at the Oil blocks Transcorp own, they have made themselves directors.

After divesting the power company with nothing for minority shareholders, that is next garbage they would sell to the masses.

Guy you don't need all this ranting on Oando...Oando is not a stock you can invest for long term. It's purely a short term stock. Anyone that doesn't want to suffer heart attack should forget buying the stock for keep. Just ensure you enter at a good price and exit after making your margin..It remains the most volatile but quick money-making stock in the market. grin
