@Towerofgrace nice info you posted. Infact I will just say conception is an act of God. There are people who are locked in dungeons, dark and hidden in places without sunlight and abused and still conceive and carry to term. My advice is just eat right and there is no harm in taking supplements. God's favor dear

Please newbie here
Can anyone please help me with any good affordable place in port Harcourt to carry out the following test recommended by my gynae....
Female factor – You need a blood test for day 2-5 FSH, LH, Estradiol, prolactin, day 21 progesterone, (AMH-if available), ultrasound scan to check uterus and ovaries, HSG to check tubes. I have zero tolerance to pain, please pain-free places would be highly welcomed
Thank you for responses

True talk my Sister, I must have googled that topic like 4-5 times last week. I even made deliberate attempts to walk in the sun in the morning, just walk around the office compound. I'm tempted to get vit d supplement too only that Dh will ask me a million jamb questions that I can't answer.

I have just been really curious about this Vit D deficiency and how it is related to fertility, google don wan finish me tongue . so many write ups about it. There is even a write up on Nicole "thefertilechick" website https://thefertilechickonline.com/dancing-in-the-sun-the-vitamin-d-story/

reason i am considering it is simply because, i hardly get in the sun except weekends, mons- fris, i get into the office before the sun is up and i close from work when the sun is down, so i am beginning to think it can't hurt to add a supplement of Vit D, you'll never know.

You see this no BD thingy in 2ww ehn, e get as e be. Can someone truly abstain in the 2ww? also if one wants to cover all the odds of late ovulation you go bd reach like 1week to af o, so it doesn't count up to 2weeks, so don't worry just relax, enjoy yourself and don't go and be doing "snakeinmonkeyshadow" style, before you know it, fiam! it haff enter.

The best diagnostic place in PH, I know is Image. Standard and effecient. They run all the tests. But for pain-less HSG, don't think they do. Because when I did mine like, they didn't offer me that option.(but you can still ask sha)
It's off Rumuola road. Kinda opposite River State college of Science (hope I got the name)

Plenty congrats to our latest Preggy mamas. You shall joyfully carry to term.

Mamakendra , 6years gap to me is not too huge o. After all, its not as if you guys planned it. My siblings and I all have not less than 5 years gap between each of us. We are four siblings and Mum did not ttc. In fact, the last born has 8years gap between her and her immediate senior (She wasn't planned by the way wink She came as a surprise baby).
And we are all happy and relate well. So my sis, leave that age gap stuff and keep planning to have your other babies plus adopted ones if you like. You can add serious prayers for hubby to be convinced and for money to come forth.

Towerofgrace continue to threaten us o ...lolz plus side eyes. Get the supplements so your mind and heart can know you are doing all u can to help yourself. But like Cuppymummy rightly said, all na God. Though good supplements and stuff helps o most times.

#Olowogbogboro is turning things around for our good.

For vitamin D and all other vitamins,i think the best is to eat right.I understand that it's found in eggs and dairy so if you take those it's okay.Again,if you are going to take supplement,we are advised to take organic one and make sure it's vitD3 and not D2.Again,from what i read,it was discovered that women with PCO has low level of vitamin D,so,this subject is a timely one.Minwhile i spied @Donatee online, she will throw more light.

Cuppymummy:
mamakendra, I feel you. I've thought about adoption a lot, thought it would be easier than ivf/iui which I can't even afford now. Reason I say 'thought is because that line of thinking changed when in the course of my research online, I came across some adopted 'adults' who were in search of their biological parents. One even said people should stop saying adopted kids should feel lucky they were adopted, etc.

That touched me deeply, and I prayed that no matter what, God should give me my own babies, with my egg and my husband's sperm.

Point is, adoption has it's cons too. You might want to convince your husband to save towards ivf/iui instead. Hugs!
Hmm,i concur with you especially in this our society and it's mentality.I used style to suggest to dh,and he said"when the child is old,the parents/family will now come and tell you thank you and collect their child".I wonder where that came from!

lol sombry cannot come and zoom in peace grin
lol u r are right about vit D3. Thats d active form. Vit D3 deficiency is not that common especially in an active individual, who asides frm sun can get it in other sources.
Im sure d person doesn't live in a dark room 24/7.

that being said regular multivitamins and some women friendly supplements contain them at recommended doses which is okay to take.
