I don't know how people enjoy life in Lagos. The govt knows how to use media to hype little achievement. It's obvious Tinubu has milked the smallest state in Nigeria with the highest IGR. I don't know of one sane, decent person who can 'like' a place like Lagos. Most people I know just tolerate the place, the same way a sick person tolerates medication but to like Lagos.... you must be nuts. Even the Federal government with all its might and resources fled the place in 86. I followed shortly after and haven't looked back since.
if you are a millionaire, you will like lagos grin.

Lagos was ok before all of them abandoned their region and moved 5 in a room to overcrowd Lagos. Anywhere they congregate they spoil. Look at Festac, look at Amuwo, look at what they are doing to Lekki phase 1. You only have to look at the filth in Onitsha where they are coming from to understand why lagos is what it is today. Show me one place dominated by them that is orderly and clean. They say they are moving back they forget they moved to Lagos because of the filth they left behind and they are the ones that brought chaos and filth to Lagos.
So to you, Igbos are dirty? If you classify us as dirty, which means you guys share same position with pigs cos the last time i checked, you all cook beside a toilet or a child's poo

Mr man.. Sango Ota is under Ogun state...any allocation to the area is from Ogun state government not Lagos state govt. Do u expect Lagos to leave their own issues and attend to other states? Just stop to think and stop typing trash out of useless sentiments

global warming has little to do with this but the mentality of Nigeria... Blocked drainages, building on drainages, sandfilling to construct mega estate. There will always be a location to receive the water.
Channels to the sea are being blocked by sea water and rather than flowing out, the channels usher in water from the sea. Blocked drainages are not responsible for the heavy flood. Yes, Lagos is a coastal area and we all know this but the truth is it would continue in this manner if the ebb tide does not come anytime soon.

A huge chunk of ice was reported to have split and would gradually melt as reported last week. States such as Benue and a handful of other states have been making rounds since last month. This is not just the work of blocked drainages.

Lagos is over hyped yet your IPOB brothers flood the street of Lagos earning a living. the population of igbos in Lagos is more than the population of imo state or abia state, or both put together. the five state in the east can't match Lagos development.

whole lots... access to sea ports, international airport, population is there to sustain business. Lagos simply provides a platform for big, medium, small and street businesses to thrive.

Small population move to lagos because of that.

Many many people move to get something doing.

I have seen situations where people were compelled to move to lagos because they could not get any thing doing in their places. When they got to lagos they were able to survive.

I was in Lagos that year 2012. FG don't need to come in cos it's obvious they got the highest IGR and they brag about it. They have media and they can pose little construction as if it's done all over Lagos. That state is still under chains of Tinubu. Go to remote areas, and decide never to stay in Lagos.
At least you admitted Lagos has the highest IGR,internal Generated Revenue unlike your state the begs for federal allocation before they can pay workers, why are you in Abuja Nigeria why not go and hustle in the land of the setting sun,East of the River Niger?

Take a survey and see the population of Igbos living there, you'll be shocked.. honestly can't these guys stay away from SW?

I'm not happy with the neglect and 'I don't care attitude' Yorubas are displaying.. start demolishing properties and illegal structures to allow water move.
Drastic measures needs to be taken before it becomes too late
And you had to find a way to mischievously portray Igbos as the cause, albeit subtly....Learn to grow past your primordial sentiments.....Be objective, Your msg would still be passed without the 1st paragraph

obviously, you are in on village in that same abuja. Abuja cannot exist without lagos. Which yahoo yahoo. Is there any business in Nigeria that does not have something to do with Lagos?? That's the state that receives all imports. The government can't be in such state. Check around the world, The city where the government seats originally has little business activities. Thats why Abuja is what it is. Without the government in AbJ, AbJ is nothing. Don't get me wrong. I am not talking down any city. Point is, the people are responsible for whatever becomes of the city. Stop talking like lagos just became what it is.

water displaces it's own weight... so that theory of melting does not work really. Like I said, building on locations where water ought to flow is always a major reason you find flood. Water will always find where to enter.

You lack sense of reasoning. which state in SE begs the center? Nnewi is richer than Osun and Ekiti State put together. The modern edifices in Owerri, Enugu, Awka, Asaba can only be compared to Abuja. Try another person cos u not my level in this.
