I can't believe a Nigerian will still appreciate or try to attribute anything to Pep on the development of Kelechi. it's like I should change my prayer for kelechi not to have an explosive start so that only curses will be attributed to the bald one for stunting his growth (but that will be wicked of me to do) |

kennysville: First of all, Guardiola always said the Premier League was very tough and considered coming to the EPL as taking on a huge challenge. Where you guys got the idea that Guardiola believed the EPL was a walk in the park beats my imagination. Secondly, as I said before development of players take place mostly on the training pitch and not during games. So you can not say Guardiola stunted Nacho's development. The only thing Nacho lost as far as I know is the hype which I feel is unnecessary. What matters mostly is continuous improvement in quality which has a lot to do with what he does on the training pitch. |

bigblangston: Because of Bias and Hatred, see the negative prayer topic someone wants to have for our key player. That is what hatred does. Move on and pray for a huge and explosive career for Iheanacho. Guardiola, just like Pellegrini and Viera, Manu Garba, Ugbade and Amunike are part of Iheanacho's history. He learnt and improved from them all. |

TheGoodJoe: Ridiculous? Sir there aint nothing more ridiculous than saying the bald lord helped develop someone he had no faith in. Oh amateurish? Lol pique learnt his craft under the tutelage of Guardiola, went to United to fine-tune it but it turned out a misadventure, he had to run back to Barca with his lamasia teacher now at the helm, and u here trynna make me believe ferguson did a jack to help with his development? If u had mentioned Bartra and Tuchel, we would have a worthy debate sir. U goofed big time here, i'm sorry. 2 Likes |

You are replying him as if you are a newbie here, it's better you debate with joebie than for you to debate with Goodjoe. He will quote you 5 times so that he can pass across his Pep message to you |

Of what use is endless learning and no opportunity to showcase what one has learnt? Who wants to keep studying without putting the knowledge acquired to use? Once again, the ultimate in every game is to score more goals than your opponent. However u achieve that is immaterial. If you like, use tongue to push the ball in the net. So long as it satnds as a goal and helps the cause of your team. End of story Training methods in an age where football is now business is the least one should worry about. If i as a coach I am sure to get a goal or two every match from a player, why try to change or genetically modify him into something he is not? Suddenly, goals arent enough abi? The season is just a couple of days away. Man City had beta be beating every team they meet by as much as 6 nil. Otherwise, na dat time my own quarell go start! Because I go so yab whoever comes in here to speak guardiolanese here. They had beta win champions league join. At least. And to buttress their point for selling iheanacho, he had beta not score more that 10 goals in this comin season. Only then can Guardiola be vindicated. Bald buffoon! 1 Like |

you are right! I don't even follow French league anymore, for obvious reasons. Well well with Awaziem, and the recent BIG move, I will be watching. I expect Neymar to leave up to expectation. He is an experienced player, already one of the best in the world, and still getting better. ChrisKels: |

Make una leave TheGoodJoe oh. @ bigblangston I can't wait for this drills talk to die down. Iheanacho was class in his own right when he joined City. And we will give the boy all the credits should he excel in Leicester. But nothing wrong with saying Pep played a part in his development. In life even bad experiences make you stronger. If Iheanacho later comes back to say Pep helped him, let's accept it. If he says Pep almost killed his career, let's also accept it. So let's wait to hear from the horse' mouth. kennysville: 1 Like |

kennysville:It's a win-win situation for our man in blue font, if KI becomes explosive, a guardiolanese Bible will be opened on this thread about the tremendous work pep did on him. if he scores less than 7 goals, he will attribute it to KI not staying to learn from god Pep, didn't you see where he blames Pogba for not learning how to control midfield (I wonder how he came up with that assertion anyway) 1 Like |

ChrisKels: The Swedish and Norwegian leagues are ranked 25 and 27 respectively. That is 25+ places below the EPL, LaLiga and Bundesliga. If that is what you call a giant move then I am lost for words. These Nordic are at best on par with League 1 in England probably even lower. |

TheGoodJoe: Pique learnt so so much that he chose to run away right? Lol Players develop quicker by PLAYING!! Why do clubs bother sending players out on loan to clubs who have less in terms of player training resources and capability? Chelsea sending Sturrridge on loan to Bolton, Arsenal doing the same with Wilshere and they both returned better players. Does that mean Bolton 'trained' them better than they would've got at Chelsea and Arsenal respectively? Hmmm |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by wayodude(m): 11:51am On Aug 04, 2017 |
komekn: You are right. The elite clubs seem to scout the Belgian league better than the Turkish league. So that says something. The likes of Lukaku, Fellaini, Courtois, were all plucked directly from there and the elite clubs are also more likely to send their players on loans to Belgium than they are to Turkey. |

U come here all day to praise the Cameroonian stars, talking about how Nigerian stars wouldnt be able to stop them because our players play in Belgium etc but u hardly acknowledge the fact that over 80% of their stars play in backwater leagues not any where as good as the Belgium league. Malmo FF is a massive club in Sweden. I guess the most successful club in Sweden. It is way better than the clubs most of those Cameroonian players u adore, play for. 2 Likes |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 12:51pm On Aug 04, 2017 |
ChrisKels: Understand that things in football go on behind the scenes like training and tactical briefings. There is even one on one sessions the coaches have with players. It is not only the starting eleven the coach works with. So saying Iheanacho did not learn anything because the coach did not have faith in him is where you are totally missing it. So you feel Iheanacho learnt nothing when Guardiola brought in a new fitness trainer to get the players in shape for his system. You believe Iheanacho learnt nothing when Guardiola was teaching the team the passing movement patterns to make the team play suit his philosophy. Football is deeper than what you are writing up there. That is why the term amateurish is there. You are still doing it. Pique said he had a masters in development at Manchester United and you are talking learnt his craft at La Masia. Do you think Pique does not know what he is saying? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 1:01pm On Aug 04, 2017 |
kennysville: A season or two under Guardiola learning the La Masia method is not endless. This was a big opportunity for the young Nigerian striker to learn some methods that helped mould some of the best players in the game. Some Players go their whole careers with playing time without learning things like these. So all the talk of playing time was not the priority. The priority for me was Iheanacho being under a highly tactical coach, playing and training in a highly intense system and maintaining his fitness in a disciplined manner. The playing time will come but the lessons is the most important during the formative years. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 1:08pm On Aug 04, 2017 |
wayodude: The truth is that you know little about Pep, that is why you can utter fraud. People who understand the depth of work it took to Transform City to one of the best passing teams in Europe, will not utter fraud. Also those who understand the kind of work to improve a World Class striker like Aguero will not call Pep a fraud. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 1:16pm On Aug 04, 2017 |
wayodude: Wilshere and Sturridge were bright talents before Bolton. Sturridge was one of the best players to come out from City academy. He was like our brightest talent at that time. Even had more clout than Brahim Diaz has now. Bolton gave both of them the platform to showcase their talents. I knew Wilshere well and had his clips before the Bolton move. They did well because of different factors. One keyboard their abilities. Another was their early training under quality coaches. Then working with Owen Coyle who is also a brilliant manager and plays a fine expressive kind of football also helped nurturing them. It is funny thinking the 90 minutes games were what moulded Sturridge and Wilshere. You see why I use the term amateur in this line of thinking. You basically left out the back story. If you look behind-the-scenes more, you will respect to hard work of managers. Amateur viewers only watch TV and feel that is all that count. |
