how old is she? I know this may not go down well with u, but i'd suggest that if the scraping is really really bad...Y not cut it all of and let it grow afresh. |

Chanbaby: Try making the daiper a bit loose at the waistline and not firmly strapped. Heat and irritation might be the culprit ma. Change the daiper or move to a bigger size please. |

Where is it chopping? If it is a smiley face at the back it may be as a result of laying her on her back. In which case not much can be done about it. Some children keep a full head of hair, some don't Orente21: |

Chanbaby:My baby used to have peeling rashes on her diaper lines too. That's the main reason I left molfix. Make the diapers more lose or move a size up. Or change to a diaper that's more elastic and easier on the skin |

Chanbaby, that is impetigo, that's what we have been battling but by his grace we have overcome. Its a bacterial infection, you can use altargo ointment to clear it up. Cheers |

I have come with my qwesion Mamas, please what can I apply to lo's hair to make it grow longer, fuller and softer. Her hair is strong. My mom said it's because I relaxed my hair during pregnancy that's why my baby's hair is strong and not that curly. I usually apply a generous amount of baby oil on her hair but each time I comb it, she cries. I was wondering why my baby's face is lighter than her body. I thought the Aveeno I use is not working, was thinking of changing to Sebamed. Thank God it will eventually even out like some mamas said. MIL is coming today, my baby usually poops every 7days but am scared my mil will try to do enema (putting soap/water into her anus) because she usually tells me on phone to do it and I will say, okay! but I won't. How do I stop her without sounding like ITK? Cc: enque, zaynie, hunniesuzie, akorkor, jazzyjazz(i love baby ilan's hair what do you use) all sabi mamas. |

Naomi14:Hair texture and growth is genetic just leave it be. However Shea butter softens the hair for easy managing. If your baby is not on ebf please offer water first thing in the morning and after or before feeding. Tell mil that your doctor says soap water in the anus is dangerous and harmful that she should not do it. I hope she listens sha. 1 Like |

Loool, no wonder she packed her face like poo when he said it. I figured it was something like that but I was too annoyed to ask at the time Which reminds me of my rant...On our way back from church yesterday, she put biscuit in my LO's mouth...who does that? That struggle pako crackers that is salty like dead sea water and hard like rock of ages! Trust my boy, he spoilt mouth and spat it out. But what if I wasn't there? Shouldn't you know better? She didn't even crush it, put the chunk in like that...mtchewwwwww Giddyperson: Giddyperson: |

Naomi14: Hair - I relaxed my hair thrice during pregnancy and my DD has very soft hair with curly tips. We wash 1ce a week and apply ori and coconut oil. Try combing her hair when it's wet or damp. it's less painful especially if she has strong hair. Use a wide teeth comb to comb her hair, so that u don't put too much pressure on her scalp. Run ur fingers thru her wet hair before combing, It helps to loosen any tangles especially at the tips. if u r on instagram, u can follow @munaandluchi . She shares practical tips for baby hair care and her daughter has very good hair. Skin Complexion - Biko comot ur eyes from that one for now....it will even out. Enema - I don't have a MIL but my mum and I always had issues when it comes to this. I just had a way of talking her out of it without sounding rude. How long is she staying? If it's just a brief visit of which she won't sleep over, U can tell her that ur LO just pooped a few hours ago and the day before. But if she is gon stay for a while, my dear u gats find a way to talk her out of it. |

Chanbaby:Same happened to my son from when he was 3months and we just defeated it this year after more than a year!!! I tried many things but it will come back after a while. I was told by ab alagbo to treat myself too cos as long as Im still nursing that he will keep getting it back from me! Hospital test says it's a viral infection. I drank the agbo while using some to bathe him. I changed his soap to Dudu Osun and cream to palm kernel oil! Since then we've bee free from it! 6months and counting now and it's not back.

Nothing ma, like Mama liftedhands said, it's genetic. Another thing to combing is to comb when wet, it may help As for your MIL you can scare her with a horror story of how when you did it and LO reacted funny (maybe she pooed loose stool for a full day) when you told the doctor he really shouted on you, that in fact you felt like a bad mother...you have to be a bit dramatic for this to work. Make sure you throw it in as gist before she notices your LO hasn't pooed Naomi14: 2 Likes |

Burntcoal:Welcome here and to motherhood. Lean back on a chair when feeding that is let your back rest well! The headache is due to stress and strained neck. Your lo is still young to have a routine so try and sleep whenever she sleeps . Nusirng my son laying down really helped me! My midwife taught me how to do it safely and it was a life saver( we co- sleep though). |
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by zaynie(f): 2:02pm On Aug 07, 2017 |
Naomi, if baby is up to 3m you can start making her hair to reduce combing wahala. Use a big toothed comb and pat it down. No need to fine comb it. The curls will jump out. I would follow Hunniesuzie's drama to scare mama off.... I hope mama isn't reading this.... She'll be like "We shall see" 1 Like |

hunniesuzie: eheeen...reminds me of my own incident. Went for a brief meeting at work on saturday, and I took my baby along. Refreshment was doughnuts and coke. Na him one of my colleagues (she is a mum of 3) wey de play with my pikin com de wan put dougnhut and fanta for her mouth. I told her politely that she shouldn't give her but she kept trying to (she had already poured the fanta in the bottle cover to give her). I told her to pls hand me my baby. she started grumbling that I'm restricting my baby's system, and that I should let her start taking all these stuff so that I can be free and she won't be picky. that it's for my own good. I simply responded that my baby is 8 months old and she has started eating home cooked meals, but is too young to have fast food and drinks and I walked away. |
