LightandDarkness: You are very correct! I always tell people to fill the form the best way they are able to, but VOs whether you fill it correctly or not, have the ability to discern how much money you have to meet to cost specified in IRCC forms issued by school. |

barrack04:I understand your plight but I would advice you to keep trying, In addition always remember the following point when you sent out email to a prospective supervisor. 1) keep it short. no more than a single page. Professors read hundreds of these, and they have a ton of other things to do, so don't ramble 2) start with stating that you are applying for PhD positions and are interested in working with them. If, at this point, the professor is not interested (e.g. they have no money or space), they can just tell you so and skip the rest of the email. 3) introduce yourself with at most 2 sentences, don't go on and on about how awesome you are, but you do want them to know where you are coming from e.g. "I am a senior at XX university, and have been doing research in YY field under ZZ professor". 4) show that you know what the professor does (i.e. cite his/her papers, stuff from their website) 5) show that your knowledge / experience / interests dovetail with his/her research. Don't start proposing projects here yet (that is for later emails / phone conversations), just a few sentences that you have been working in the field for a while, or have done projects for classes that inspired you to go into this field, and that you have research experience. 6) ask whether the professor would be interested in considering you for a PhD position in their group, and thank them for their time. AGAIN, NO MORE THAN ONE PAGE.( Adapted from Sandeep.V. Post on quota) All the best. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Beyy: Congrats! Please can you give me the format of the withdrawal mail and the address you sent it to? I want to withdraw my study permit application and focus on my PR application since they haven't answered me yet. My profile was updated to review of eligibility yesterday and since classes are starting September 5, I wonder if everything will click in time. My best bet now is to focus on and submit my PR application. |

calfy:Calm down. Review of eligibility yesterday? You will get a reply soon. Sometimes medical request to medical passed to passport request and approval doesn't go beyond 2weeks. Sept 5th you said so I believe you will get a response soon. Just stay put in that faith. Congrats in advance 2 Likes |

kenny4uu:When did you submit. Not everybody writes one, its simply to explain certain tbings that could be confusing, though it helps with the intent part. |

maziude: Hahaha....Boss when my TRV come....me sef go join list of garri. However i think one should get lost to find his/her way quickly. Many people get lazy to even know their way because of google maps but when you grt lost you start to notice landmarks and eventually get youself out of the "maze". The alternative however is to choose a weekend and just explore...just go out, know your area check out shortcuts and the likes. 2 Likes |

Lastly not all applicants submitted sop so except u need to explain some very important thing to the vo , if not don't send it |

barrack04:Try MSVU, They offer a master's degree in applied human nutrition and I don't think you require a supervisor. You should also work with what judebebo32 said hopefully you will get an advisor. |
