Bros you think that Zambia goal was easy?

A Brown Ideye would have hit the ball straight to the goalie. Take that to the bank.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSlvLsRnA2E

what was so special about this goal? Start watching from 1:23... His famous bad first touch nearly let him down again but he quickly rallied and got the ball before it went into touch. I cant see what was so extraordinary about a professional football player scoring this.

Akpeyi may be the culprit here.
In the words of Rohr,he failed to cover himself in glory.
Funny.
So who mounts goal against Cameroon?

Brown ideye did get a chance which he chipped above the keeper, he didn't hit it straight at the keeper, you are making it sound like he doesn't even have a football brain.
..
All we are all trying to say is dat he still has his skills nd it hasnt been *coached out* buh he is a little rusty is dat area 4 now

Do we have a RWF that is on his level?

No but the gap is closer in that regard.

OWNGOAL FAKE NEWS CORRECTION AGAIN.

Osimhen In, No Ifeanyi Matthew, Aaron Samuel, Joel Obi In Eagles List
August 21, 2017027

‎The list been spread around by respected Nigerian journalist Wale Ajayi has been dismissed by Owngoalnigeria.com sources close to the players he claimed have been invited to the team for the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers against Cameroon.

Ajayi sent a mail to Owngoalnigeria.com where he listed Aaron Samuel as one of the players but a source close to the player said he hasn’t been contacted, hence he is not in the squad.

Joel Obi is one name listed by Ajayi, whom we can now confirm isn’t in the list even Ifeanyi Matthew who played for Lillestroem in Norway is also not in the list which is set to be released later today.

However Victor Osimhen of Wolfsburg made the cut as against several reports according to a source close to the player. He confirmed Osimhen has already received his invitation letter.

Thanks bro.

But you see the problem is they expect him to still be doing all the magic he did at U17 level.

I have always said it that too much is expected of him. I believe his career is still on the rise.

He is not there yet.

This is a 20+yrs old boy we are talking about here.
Give him a couple of years and hopefully we'll see a bigger him.

Super Eagles World Cup 2014 Defender Joins PSL Side SuperSport United
August 21, 2017026

Nigeria World Cup 2014 defender Azubuike Egwuekwe has agreed a deal to join Premier South Africa League side SuperSport United, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

The 28 year old who is currently on the books of Finnish side KuPS has agreed a deal to join the PSL side bringing to an end his two years stay with KuPS where he played 50 league games and scored five goals from his position as a central defender.

His club confirmed that he will join a South African team before the week runs out, but they didn’t give out the name of the club but latest reports confirmed he will join SuperSport United.

Egwuekwe has 22 senior national team caps for Nigeria and was a part of the team that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in ‎South Africa, and also made the cut to the World Cup in Brazil.

He also represented Nigeria at the 2013 Confederations Cup and also the 2013 Africa Nations Championship popular referred to as CHAN Championship meant for players based in their various domestic leagues in Africa.

First of all, free your mind of bias and watch it again.

I don't do bias, sentiments or tribalism. If I wasn't Igbo most people would have tagged me a tribalist for pointing out the flaws in Ndidi and Kelechi's game. I honestly don't know which state Onazi or Akpeyi comes from but I have defended them here.

Critically analysing that goal, the Zambian defence went on a vacation. They were carved open by Ideye and Kelechi had an easy run at the stranded goalkeeper who has 2 options, which were to either foul a goal bound Kelechi or pray he slips on his way to goal. The only exceptional play I see here was Ideye having the presence of mind to flick that ball to Kelechi's in that crowded area.

Technique beats physicality. That is why smaller, more technical teams were able to outplay Cameroon in the confederations cup.

Just like the way a technical Arsenal side used to beat the physical Sam Aladyce Bolton team.

One example but i will argue Arsenal struggled many times were mental not physical. It is the same reason they capitulate when the pressure is on.
Other technical and less physical teams like Man Utd whooped Bolton left, right and center. Chile are not anywhere close to the physicality of Cameroon.

Na so.

I don't just know why some people would be so blinded by bias.

I don't have favorite players as most do here but if a player does something right I don't hesitate to say it the way it is. And the other way round too.

the goal did not win any award, there was nothing extraordinary about the goal. the greatness of the goal was in the team play

The only player I can pick out there is Kayode and that one sef na manage.

We will confine Victor Moses to RB and Onyekuru and Olaitan or Kalu would be playing RWF.

Chairman reason am abeg.

We need Victor Moses in a Forward position. Shehu Abdullahi is not doing badly at RB hate him or like him.

We need Victor Moses' fire power upfront abeg.
All those players you mentioned are learners.

JoebieStats: Did you know that Ikechukwu Uche contributed 4 goals for Gimnastics versus La Liga new boys, Girona during the 2016/2017 season?
He scored 1 goal in their 4-2 away loss late last year, and scored a brace and had an assist in their 3-1 home win on the 28th of May this year.
