Thanks a bunch, yes there is a way via scotibank but they do not have representative in Nigeria i believe. I am not in Nigeria tho, currently working right after uni (1 year and half) but i will be applying from Nigeria i.e online application because that's is where i have proof of my ties i.e my properties. Similar travel history as yours as well. I might be asking few other questions as time goes by if you really do not mind.

You're welcome, sure you can do that!

Boss,

I no just understand you.

So, what do you want people that have only family as home ties do? Kill themselves? Not everyone's family has hefty funds, so what should they do? Manufacture one?

I keep saying this every application is treated uniquely. Home tie is a requirement not the whole requirement. I have seen cases with "perfect documentation including perfect home tie " denied visa.

You cannot submit what you dont have, that in itself will be misrepresentation.

I think you should stop instilling fear in the minds of those who have just family as home tie. That really aint helping.

They can only use what they have. It is as simple as that.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Boss chill man, who is instilling fear? Just because I said PGD is harder getting a TRV than masters and PHD, somehow in a circular kind of your reasoning equates to instilling fear and asking people to manufacture ties? Just calling a spade by its name and analyzing a fact that is all. The matter has somewhat been hackneyed and belabored at this point. People will make their choices and I hope it's good. Go and prosper!

Please I have a friend and he is a graduate with 2.2 and no work experience .. what options does he have

Hi guys, reporting live from Regina, Canada. Just a few tips based on my personal experience and thoughts.
1. CIC works based on the information you give to them. They will also judge you based on the same information you give to them. So what ever info you are giving to them, be ready to defend it at all times.

2. One of the reasons for delay in correspondence is too much of uneccessary documents sent to them. They might then need to verify some, thereby causing delays.

3. When sending documents for initial proof of funds, please go as far as sending your sponsor's promotion letters, salary increment letters etc. It helps.

4. For those that get rejected before or just after medical call, it seems to be 80% due to insufficient funds. I think that is the first thing they check. NB. Never deposit bulk money before printing account statement.

5. I dont think it is wise to keep sending them emails when the wait period has not been elapsed, it might raise concerns.

6. If you are asked to later provide etra proof of funds, try to email them the proof late in the night so that it will be among the first set of documents they will treat in Acrra the next day.

God bless you as you hear only Good News

He has a lot of options depending on what he wants to study. Please try TRU--Thompson Rivers University in Vancouver. You cannot get a scholarship with that GPA, but you can get admission if you are prepared to pay for yourself. It's relatively easy to get into that school, in fact the school goes the length of sending its representative every 3 months to Nigeria to recruit students into its school who can pay their way. They come to a hotel at Ikoyi and your friend can meet with them there and discuss further if he is interested.

A moniker here applied with his wife(WP) and kid(visiting) although the moniker is on funding (phD) But still presented a SOA of about 10M and their TRVs was approved! There is a minimum balance anyone applying with a dependent(s) must provide( you can check their site for more details), if you are able to fulfill those conditions I think you have nothing to worry about. Your trvs will be treated separately because you are both applying for different purpose(study/work)but Her TRV depends on your SOA+ a strong home ties. Since you have applied already bro, I will advice you Worry less and pray more coz nothing is impossible. Your Trv is on it way wink
Amen ....thanks

I arrived Edmonton international airport 18:30 local time August 23, 2017. Indeed it was a stressful day for me as I changed flight 3 times from Tallinn, Stockholm and Reykjavik airport respectively. I nearly missed my flight at Reykjavik airport where I was going to exit the Schengen Zone. The immigration officer had to verify my Schengen Resident permit which is still Valid for a couple of years.
At the POE I was not asked any question, the officer checked my passport and landing card then she asked me to go and collect my luggage and study permit. At the study permit collection section, The lady jokingly asked if I was going to work or study in Canada and how long I would be staying in Canada. People here are quite polite and friendly at least for someone that has lived in Europe for a couple of years and visited almost all Schengen countries. I can spot the disparity in the way people interact with each other here.
Thanks to everyone on this forum, Mazuide and co hope to see you some day.
My flight to Saskatoon has been delayed still chilling at the airport. To those still awaiting approval, I pray you get that success mail ASAP.

Wow.. thanks for sharing this experience with us here.... I hope to see you in saskatchewan though my school is uni of regina. We shall relate well this fall....
