I'm divided about what happened at the market in Owerri. Truth is, i'm sure the traders were notified months before the demolition. It's just that as a people, we don't listen to warnings until something happens. However, i think Rochas played a very bad role by saying that no one died without first confirming. The over zealous members of the security apparatus that committed the heinous act of killing innocent people should be arrested and made to face the full weight of the law. Another issue that i want to address, is about Rochas as a person and his supposed development strides in Imo state. Rochas promised a lot in 2011 and while i think he hadn't achieved up to 60% (the promises were gargantuan), i don't think he's the worst governor in the south east. I actually think he's one of the best in the country. You can see evidence of what he has done in the state even though most of his strides are focused on Owerri, the capital. Having said that, i will continue to call out Rochas pertaining to the insults he keeps dishing at Igbos just because of Buhari. let's learn to saparate Rochas as a person and what he has done. This also applies to Abagworo. it's not everything Rochas says that you support hook, line and sinker. He's a human being and makes mistakes. 1 Like |

Relocation of Owerri main market was a stupid move. Okorocha should have moved to government house to a new site, convert the government house to something commercial. The market is in the master plan of Owerri. Nawa for our leaders! It seems Okorocha do not know the value of trade to the live of an economy. 1 Like |

Afam4eva: No one actually died during the demolition. Someone died 3 kilometers away from the market and on another road. The opposition made the video and released it to deceive people. The boy was murdered at Mbaise road where there was no demolition and the murder is suspected to be political. It's just like demolition ongoing at Chime Avenue and a boy is murdered at 82 div. |

Abagworo:Even, Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Kano and Portharcourt have keke! Nawa for una o. Keke is suitable for the kind of roads we have in this country. Build roads in inaccessible areas before you talk about banning keke. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Abagworo(m): 1:45pm On Sep 03, 2017 |
Pchidexy: Keke will still ply innermost areas and other inaccessible roads. The ban is on the major roads currently under construction or recently constructed. |

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by oneeast: 4:54pm On Sep 03, 2017 |
Basilo, It is called Enugu state airport. Stop tagging it international. There are only 3 international airports in Nigeria- Abuja, lagos, kano, PH and recently KD. Enugu state airport is a domestic airport. FG is not interested in it because it does not have any economic importance. The same reason they abandoned it..lol Chinese aviation are already on site. Take a hike bro if you can't bear it. igwebuike01: |

Please those in Owerri, What happened to the promising Aladinma Mall? I have never heard anything useful of it since 2011. Does it have any international anchor as SPAR or SHOPRITE? Does it have any notable restaurant of event center? Was the exterior and parking lot area ever beautified with palm trees etc to create an ambient shopping environment and make the place alluring? Is it even still functional? If not what happened? If so, why can't it modernize and attract anchors to help boost it's reputation as a true mall? It is one of the biggest malls in Nigeria, so what happened to it? Does it lack proper central air-conditioning ? Is it priced too expensive for anchors and local boutiques to find it attractive? The location of the Mall was very poorly thought out. However, Is the road to the place even tarred to make it accessible to the public? The Aladinma Hospital road must be well tarred or even dualized and the Ngwa road connecting the Mall to Aladinma hospital road must also be well tarred with sidewalks & gutters on both sides. Is electricity connected to the place? Does it have borehole facilities to keep the toilets clean? Please somebody should update on this potentially great mall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zq74xFUbsMY
