Thank you

You don't have to inform them. Your TRV is valid till you travel for the winter term.

@kowalskiq, medical call does not in any way mean you have this thing in the bag oo. It's just routine operation with CIC that can go either way. If I were you, this would be the time for me to go on my knees in humility and pray for perfection of what has already begun, lest I grow cocky or misconstrued as arrogant and fail and have to face those I promised I have gotten my TRV when I haven't. Best wishes though bro and more grace.

Hello Gurus,

Please i need clarification

I got my passport today but i know i cant make this summer cos class starts Sept 5

But i already deferred my admission to Winter , Do i need to send a mail to CIC to inform them or i should go later in the year without sending any mail ?

Thank you guys
You can travel now and be in Canada till January (but that's if you have enough money ) or you decide to wait till November/December before traveling

I haggled my way here in Jos down to 10k. They do the police certificate here for everyone at 20k. I came with an American charm and accent and they were all drooling to siphon me of my my hard earned dollars, not knowing like Abracadabra, the more you see the less you understand. I gave them a good talk and before they know it, they were my friends and agreed to my pitch. I am convinced that you can haggle your way down there in Alagbon to let's say 3k down from 5k.

This may sound trivial to some, but for me, it's a serious question:

Please should I pack my ankara materials? How easy is it to find tailor/seamstress in Cannyland?
The cost of ticket these days will not permit me to come home soon and I don't have people that fly back and forth.
Pack things you won't easily find in Canada(Ankara inclusive ). I will advise you try and sew your natives here cos it will be very expensive to sew in canada(you can give more than 1 tailor the job to do to make it faster)

Lol! I actually did mine for 3k and I have taken more than 3 persons there for 3k as well but some people don't know how to bargain so I always tell them it shouldn't exceed 5k

What's the time duration? Because it's too expensive here in Ibadan and I don't mind coming to Lagos and where in Lagos too?

I believe you should hear back from them anytime from now. Cos admissions are usually granted to international students at least 3 to 4 months before school resumes, cos they are aware that the student needs CAQ (Which takes roughly 20 business days) as well as Visa (Whose duration can be sometimes "undefined" ).

Also, the admission is processed as First in, First Out! When did you apply?
I would advise, if you don't hear back at the end of the week or early next week, kindly reach out to the Graduate Advisor of your department, or the Admissions office. All the best!

in my case i submitted late July and the deadline is October 1st for winter Admission

Just post it. We all here to help.... feeling high-spirited already!

Boss, I hold ND and HND in insurance and I've had one year industrial attachment in an insurance broking firm. I applied for BBA General Management at Mount Royal University, Canada, paid part tuition fee. But embassy rejected my 2nd study permit app on d ground of purpose of visit. The officer also stated that " My proposed program is not reasonable in light of one or more of my previous educational qualifications, previous employment or future plan" My future plan is to come back to Nigeria, gain practical experience in Insurance broking n underwriting and in the long run establish my own broking firm.

Pls, what's ur suggestion on d best way to respond to these concern raised in my 3rd app?

Meanwhile, I just got an Underwriting job with an insurance company, can this be a plus to my next app against fall, 2018.

Cc: Austinpee, mcobex, n other gurus in the house. Pls your input will be appreciated.
