Humility is not trying to think less of ourselves but to think less about ourselves... big difference. wink You are an Engineer and If I guess right.. a damn good one too... cheesy

Seems to be a good weekend for youngsters.
I watched Venezuela play against Colombia. The Venezuelans had a 19yr old keeper. To say he was solid will be an understatement. The boy was a beast in goal.

Thanks for the reply. I had to ask because I followed the case of Stylian Petrov. He never returned to football after his diagnosis.

I am guessing his own severely affected his platelets, you can't play football like that, atleast the doctors will advice you not to.

Take this for instance, if you fall down you will see a red dot on your skin, that is actually minor internal injury, if your platelets are defaultive that means the complex combo of fibrinogen and thromboplast won't occur and that means incessant blood loss and that means death, death from a minor red dot on your skin, is that worth the risk?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 9:28pm On Sep 03, 2017
He asked for something on leukemia..... he needed an easy-to-read info.... and I mentioned the platelets and bruises and bleeding didn't I? I left out a lot of info for his sake and for simplicity sake... I just tried to make it simple for him so what is your problem Mickael? Like seriously.... can't you just stay your hands? You are always assuming with me... the last time you were assuming or even questioning my psychology knowledge... now this... another assumption... This has to stop. okay. Good. smiley

Mickael2:

I would assume you are just giving him a background knowledge so I won't take up anything from here.

However the main casualty here are the platelets, this is so because he is a sport man and they go get minor bruises. I have seen patients with red blood cell deficieny but they still survive well because blood can still dissolve oxygen, so that's apart. Lack of white blood cells is quite similar to what HIV does, and people survive with HIV, so that one is not the main problem.

Stimulating his blood and marrows to produce platelets yet again is going to take more than 9months at least so all these talk about world cup seems highly unlikely, let's pray he manages to make it out of the hospital for now

oga, my only concern was you mentioned that his chances of making it to the world cup are healthy which is misleading, hence the correction. That was what I wanted to take up, not your knowledge of whatever you claim, not my business

My goodness.... I told Mujtahida his chances of recovering are healthy/good.

Where did I mention World Cup?

The only thing I said was if Ikeme can return early he will be in the picture... But I was focused on his recovery as a human.

So what do you want to do? pin rubbish on me and make yourself a guru or something? what is your aim this time Mickael? You have a problem... go fix yourself. From the first day you walked into this thread... I knew your attitude was bad.

which dance moves? Dude dances like a white boy, anybody dancing like that at a club must not be getting any girls

Oga, I am an introvert and I dance better than most supposed extroverts. It means nothing, you don't haved to relate with people to dance...in fact, you dance better with minimum interaction with people.

Tyronne does look isolated sometimes, but there will always be people who prefer their own company to that of others

Khikhikhi, white boys sabi dance like that? You See them in clubs just jumping about, dancing out of the rythym of the music.

I was actually making light of the situation, so don't take me too seriously, please.

I'm an ambivert, (more introverted)dancing is also one of my social skills.

Thesuper.nerd suggested Tyrone to be introverted and I also suggested maybe not, siting that example.

I don't know the medical school you attended, so when you said his chances of recovery were great(in your reply to goldfish where he was asking if he could play football again, so this isn't about recovery as a human) I wanted to start up a conversation, maybe you were taught techniques that I do not know and can learn from you for further research, why you would think that I wanted to hassle you is beyond me. This would be my line up, if I were the coach:

Ezenwa

Shehu...Ekong...Balogun...Aina
(yes, he can play LB)

Ndidi...Onazi...Mikel

Victor Moses...KC...Etebo
(we need his high work rate plus the end products)

But I am almost 100% sure that Rohr would stick with the same line up. Most coaches don't change a winning team.

The first two are the main Contenders... a certain SirManjar showed interest too... but... I think he has given up.... lolll

I am telling you man... The media spoke of Iheanacho being chased by a couple of clubs before Leicester won his signature and even Mbappe and Dembele getting deals after much speculation.... but they miss the fact that Safarigirl is the hottest cake being chased this window.... and now They have to wait till January... how sad. sad

So Oga Joebie... you want a chance to sit next to her in a flight to comfort her.... then behold your contenders above. grin

First you say World cup... now you say Football... are you confused?

Thought you said that I was misleading him about his chances of making the World cup which takes place just next year.... next year which is months away?

In all my talks on this, I was focused on one thing... Ikeme's chances of surviving this condition. Goldfish said he thought his career is finished... and asked for little education on leukemia. And I obliged him... sparing him most of all of the Jargons and keeping it simple. I just responded to educate and speak on his chances of recovery.

But you are the one now bringing in world cup into this. Why?

Why are you quick to type but slow to understand what you type in response to? Smh... like really...

Finally, I have watched the Cameroon game four times as I write. My takings:
1) Onazi is grossly underrated by Nigerian fans. His all action style and hustle is unmatched. I mean, this guy was chancing the bigger Cameroonians. While Mikel was on the pitch he made sure to release the ball on time to Mikel.
2) If Cameroon decide that because they are home they want to rush Nigeria, they may even lose worse than they did at Uyo. Infact, if I were Broos I'd tell my players to be patient just as they always were at AFCON and CONFEDS. I don't know why they decided to rush Nigeria.
3) After South Africa, Nigeria is the next best counter attacking team in Africa. I would have said we are the best, but SA has mastered that act so perfectly.
4) Although, it's a heart warming news to hear that Aina has been cleared, I won't touch that team except for injuries.

I expect us to qualify in Yauonde with a win cos I don't really see Zambia winning in Constantine due to the deep-freezing cold.

Whatever made Cameroun to rush us was their undoing. Could it be that they felt we were up for the taking as a result of our loss to SA? If so then that loss has become a blessing in disguise. We learnt something from it and Cameroun bore the brunt. I think they'd be more cautious tomorrow.

I don't expect Zambia to win in Constantine either but, I think, that because Algeria would be playing for pride. However, I don't think that the weather at Constantine would be freezing at this time of the year. We're the people who would get the brutal temperature ... the corrupt officials at FIFA knew what they were doing when they arranged those schedules.

And if we qualify, watch out how we would be sentenced into the group of death. Mark my words!

Being introverted doesn't make someone unable to do some things done frequently by extroverts. Also some introverts can act like extroverts sometimes... they are called Omniverts but are essentially Introverts at the core.

Haba mana. cheesy grin

I'm not saying they don't dance, I'm an ambivert (predominantly introvert) I dance and I have other social skills.

I was merely suggesting that he must have learnt dancing from somewhere, (perhaps the club) if so, then he's not as introverted to the extent you think.

Alampasu is being groomed to step up post 2018 World Cup. That is how I see his situation anyway. Everything all depends on how good he comes thereafter. There seems to be a special interest on him by national team handlers.

Personally, I like his height, I understand he's about 6ft6 (I can be wrong). Perfect height for a goalkeeper. But something about him seems odd. Maybe I need to watch him closely again to assess him by from what I saw at the U17 world cup, his technic was suspect. Like he's not a natural.
I'm open minded to watch him play again anyway.

It isn't about his age, babe. Alampasu's problem is experience. You gain that by playing day in day out for your team. Trust me, once Alampasu starts playing day in day out at his club side, he would start getting consideration for the national team.
