fgsamuel:Good morning boss, Haba..... Haba again, you want to sell so much property and still act as main sponsor... Kilode? *i doubt if you've been following this thread because people in the same school were mandated to pay the same tuition deposit to secure their space and admission to get an unconditional admission letter for visa application, best bet is you inquire if its refundable upon visa denial if you have doubts (we all do) * All of these property sales, how long is your intended stay? If they are your only property why sell them? Why not raise more funds, loans, source help from family members? Adding your properties will serve as home ties but not totally but then it's your decision *if you still choose to be the main sponsor you will need Tuition+10K cad which is compulsory for the number of years you intend to stay Best bet is you look for someone to really sponsor you, you alone may or may not fly Imho, try and save more because from the post you gave, you haven't acquired enough funds Then page 0 of this thread might also help you prepare well, (just my little piece of advice i also gained over time from this forum) Goodluck sir May God do it for the rest of we hopefuls 2 Likes |

Hello house, Happy holiday☺ I am planning on using my uncle as sponsor and my mom as co-sponsor. My uncle is also my employer.I have been working in his company for the past 8 months. I just want to know how plausible that sounds ? I am going to do a court affidavits stating our relationship and having read through previous post I will ask him to pay money into my dorm account to show his commitment to fund me. He is also going to state it in his letter of sponsorship. Please house what do u guys think ? Ideas and suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you. |

thesoj: Thanks A bunch Pls, concerning d Dom account, I don't have any yet. Is it best I open a Dom account in GBP or in USD. For the Home Tie, the Study Leave letter is one of d things I intend using, I have 7 siblings and my two parents I will use them as family home tie, then my rented Lagos apartment receipt and agreement. Also i don't have any landed property yet, but my mum has, is it OK I "buy" it from her and use d property to show home tie too? Don't you think is risky paying school fees bfr visa, at least to save me from d stress of a refund( I don't intend to.be negative minded here). My Uncle can be my main sponsor wgooe my mum and I act as co-sponsor as Iv been working close to two yrs. Thank you as I get cleared on these 1 Like |

nwakaegoabisola: LOR means Letter of Recommendation. Follow up with your referees to make sure they reply before the deadline (some Nigerian lecturers are lazy and wouldn't respond at all or some would reply when the deadline has passed). So I will advise you to choose someone who is willing to write a strong and comprehensive letter for you because all these are important aspects of your application. Some programs require academic referees while others require professional referees. Check the school website for details. Most graduate programs in Canadian Universities do not require GRE except business schools. But, people applying to Canadian Universities do write GRE to bolster their application so as to increase their chances of getting admission and also support their visa application. You can check the school website for the requirements to know if GRE is required or not. Graduate advisors are also friendly and always willing to provide answers to your questions. Contact them if you need any details. For GRE materials, there is a GRE thread on this forum. You can download lots of materials there and also get tips on how to pass the exam. If you can submit a strong application, you have a high chance of getting full funding. But, you need to do your research, dot your i's and cross your t's and and commit the rest to God. It will surely end in praise 2 Likes 1 Share |

fgsamuel:CIC won't question the amount of money in your account as long as you explain it in your sop, but just like you said you will be able to raise only 11k of 16k (tuition fee). Your tuition fee isn't complete yet not to talk of your living expenses which is atleast 10k.....so you will be short of atleast 15k. I will advise you get a sponsor while you act as co-sponsor cos if you are the sole sponsor the vo will require you to have all funds for the entire program (2 years..I want to believe it's a 2 year program), you can imagine how much that will be. Try and get a sponsor then you are good to go as regards funds but if you CAN'T get a sponsor then I will suggest you forget the admission and look for a much more cheaper school(mind you no matter the tuition fee there's one thing that's constant which is your living expenses=$10k/year) 2 Likes |

ogheneese07:It's a good idea. Is your work related to your intended program? Let your uncle state it that you have been working in his company (an intro letter from the company will solve that) and state your department. 1 Like |

Zlatimi:Anybody or establishment can sponsor you as long as they show commitment(by paying your tuition fee and pay your living expenses into your bank acvount)and explain why they intend spending millions on you. Also they will they will need to show proof of funds enough to take care of your other years on canada and for them to be able to run their family/dependant and establishment 1 Like |

ogheneese07: Hello boss, You studied computer sciences? Bsc or HND? What is you CGPA? All this is necessary so as to know why you would be going for a PGC? It is better to avoid "Purpose of visit" now rather than later. If your CGPA is low why not go for PGD? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by maziude: 4:18pm On Sep 04, 2017 |
fgsamuel: Hello gentleman, Why would you want to sell your properties that could serve as your rallying points in the future (If push comes to shove)? Like someone advised here, why not look for third party sponsors, loans etc. Even after selling that amount wont still fly as you need the stipulated fees + upkeep of 10k in your account. More so, CIC might ask for more commitments ( by asking for proof that the funds will be easily exportable, so how you go take do am then?). I will suggest you exhaust all possible option and making selling your last option. Enjoy. 2 Likes |

Hello, please i would like to apply to University of Saskatchewan and University of Manitoba for MSC in Agric Economics (Research based). Have done my findings and those are the two schools that best fit my course. My CGPA is 3.63/5 although I think for the last two years it is more because I sent my result to University of Saskatchewan, it was rated 77%. My question now is do you think I should write a GMAT to increase my chances of getting an admission especially to Manitoba? Thank you |

maziude: I have a Bsc.computer science. I would have opted for masters but low CGPA. Isn't pgc and pgd the same thing ? What's the difference please ? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by maziude: 6:19pm On Sep 04, 2017 |
ogheneese07: The main difference between the two qualifications is that a postgraduate diploma (PGDip, PgDip, PG Dip, PGD or PgD) is more extensive, generally taking around 30 weeks to complete if studied full time. This compares with 15 weeks for a postgraduate certificate (PGCert, PgCert, PG Cert, PGC or PgC). From: Google... |
