Goke7: We should play with more bravery. That is my point. I am glad we won but I said I hope we do not play this way again. I Wonder why people are getting worked up. Can't someone hope again? |

TheSuperNerd: Hahahahahah! Ajagun seems to be more of an ATM though he plays as a CMF. The name on my mind is Raheem Lawal. However, I remembered how Joel Obi made me to enter one of my neighbors house, in mind your business estate, to see him play on his debut after he pledged to play for Nigeria instead of Italy. I will choose Joel Obi ahead of any player any time any day. Honestly, he is got skills, swagger and an eyes for a through pass. 1 Like |

Icon79: I did not blame Etebo for our collapse. I said he can not replace Mikel. He lacks the coordination, composure, intelligence and vision to do what Mikel does. Did you not see those nice moves Mikel made in the first half? Etebo can not do it. |

TheSuperNerd: Kingsley Sokari too could be given a chance. He was on the verge of getting into the main super eagles team and should have gone to the Olympics where he would have done well till he offended Siasia by going for an Enyimba game when Siasia said no. Just because someone is playing in Egypt or tunisia doesn't mean he doesn't have it, right now where does Shehu play, infact was he not part of Keshi's CHAN team to South Africa before he moved to Cyprus and he's still a lot better than Brother Kenneth of Chelsea and various Turkey teams. While I like etebo, I believe he's more suited to a winger or SS not a holding midfielder, he's an all action player with speed and strength, he's not a Midfield marshall and therefore won't be able to fit in for Mikel, if we had another Midfield Marshal, he could potentially be part of the midfield set-up like he did against Algeria but if you stop him from running and taking on players he won't be efficient, my own two cents. In summary, perhaps we could try to explore the possibility of having these guys, forget where they currently play Abdul Ajagun Joel Obi kelechi Nwakali Kingsley sokari Azubuike Usman Muhammed |

Sir GoodJoe.... Plssss Understand that The Super Eagles of Nigeria is not Manchester City Football club.... you have a keen taste for sexy champagne soccer and wanna see it everytime... Against Cameroun in Uyo... did you enjoy yourself or did you not? Didn't you like our football? But we had a plan today and as negative as you see it... we have a positive result. I also love beautiful football but sometimes Sir GoodJoe... a team must learn to win dirty... Truth is if Pep can understand that, maybe he will conquer England... But if not.. he will keep getting trumped in England. #Fact. So plssssssssss... cut the team some slack and save them the really high benchmark of possessive champagne football you were expecting to see on one of the toughest grounds to visit in African Football.... Sir GoodJoe... bia take ya time oooo.... TheGoodJoe: 1 Like |

Looks like Balogun will miss the match against Zambia. He got a yellow card..or am i missing something. We need Azubuike Okechukwu asap. The good thing is he plays week in week out in the same league Elders on and Ekong play. |

TheGoodJoe: you are the one getting worked up bruv cos we only need one point more to qualify. The negativity you are talking about is the reason Chelsea is now a former uefa champ winner. You wanna go all out against a cameroon in yaounde? are you sure you got enough dept in your squad for that against rampaging injured lions? common man, use what you have to get what you want. we just dump the strongest team in our group out of the world cup race and those lads deserve all the applause including the players you are condemning. 1 Like |

Taliban: Wow. I have even forgotten Usman Mohammed. Other names are Nwobo and Ifeanyi Matthew. At the end we need a player with pure grace and class. K. Nwakali ticks it for me. Mikel is still around. That is why I suggest a slow integration and a planned understudy process. Although, Esiti looks promising. Raheem Lawal also has quality. |

Mathematically they could still qualify if they beat Algeria, hold us to a draw and beat Cameroon, thy hoping that we lose our final match to Algeria. Let me just say if Zambia fails to beat Algeria tomorrow, we would need just one more point from the last two games to qualify. Icon79: |

But uhmmmm... Records and History still remember Greece.... That can never be taken from them. I get what you mean Sir GoodJoe... we should aspire for a long lasting legacy of excellence... I get you. But plsss take it easy with our team... this team has only played 8 games now under Rohr... 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. Give Rohr more time naa... where is thy patience? We still have about two more roles to sort out sef in our Starting XI... give Rohr time. TheGoodJoe: |

TheSuperNerd: That is it. Record and history. Twenty years from now, some middle aged men will be replaying those packed bus Charisteas glory and telling their sons. That was a lovely time. While other quality playing nations continue having good time watching their team perform brilliantly. Some winning titles regularly. I understand the team is still a work in progress. I understand Rohr played safe. However, I hope we do not play like that again. Can't someone hope again? |

It seems Rohr doesn't know the strength of each player in his team. It was too obvious from the substitutions he made today... . Etebo had no business coming in after Iheanacho has been brought on earlier- we all know that Etebo is too attack minded and not really a good passer of the ball. He was just busy running up and down. Ogu would have been a good replacement for Onazi. Or rather still bring Nwakeme on for Moses Simon and allow Onazi to see out the game which will make Iheanacho drop deep to make those decisive passes while Agu keep doing the dirty job. 1 Like |

safarigirl: Madam what is a Nigerian if not greedy ? Sports is not for the meek, you see blood and you maul. We could have confirmed our Russia 2018 qualification tonight because I don't see Zambia winning a game in North Africa. Yes before friday's game we were hoping for 4 points and praying for at least 3 points, but after watching these 2 games against Cameroon, you will agree that the African Champions were champions by fluke. Not withstanding based on our mediocre standards in Nigeria, the boys need to be praised for at least keeping the unbeaten record going. We most also remember that we want to be very high in the ranking in order to avoid certain countries in the draw. It was very clear that the instruction was to park the bus and score and then counter, but in the second half our boys had run out of steam, midfield passes started becoming inaccurate, they started losing possessions and where getting to balls late, Why ?? That midfield is definitely not complete, with or without Mikel. Moses Simon abi na Simon Moses should be coming from the bench I am very sorry. Elderson Echiejile has to go, not even good enough for bench. Ndidi needs to step up more, stop deferring to Onazi and Mikel. He is the future. Shehu, Ekong and Leon Were super solid. Victor Moses I repeat should remember his first priority na to supply the main attacker, after the first goal, he just got Ighala looking like a fool. We know he can score, even unborn babies know he can score, but as the workman horse of the team can he churn out assists on a regular basis like we need him to ? If he can do that then we will be super ok, because the tendency to always feed him the ball and him making his first choice to go for goal is causing other players to fall back and defer to him, which in turn causes a "ghost situation" in the attacking midfield like what happened today. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: That is a theory not a fact. We all saw that Cameroon didn't start 2 of their impact players and introducing them played a role in them turning the tide. Also after losing 4-0 I would expect them to come out more intense than us at home. It is not fair to say stuff like that without proof to back it up. 1 Like |
