airmark: Asides him being or looking jittery on the ball on few occasions, I think he is solid. I particularly like his energy and willingness to fight for each ball. Even if he fails to show up in the games you mentioned, I am sure we have a very decent defender in him who can do a job when called upon. I think our defence is solid, midfield is ok as long as we ain't playing fab in a 2man midfield against top teams or any decent team at all. Hopefully when Drinkwater gets back from injury he will add to the quality we already have on ground. My major worry still has to do with our attack. We have forwards like hazard, pedro and willian who are not known to be prolific goal scorers and obviously don't have enough room to improve in terms of goal scoring. We have them supporting a striker who is still trying to find his feet in a new league. Though with 3goals and 2assist sofar, and how epileptic he can be in terms of going to the ground easily, one can say he hasn't started badly, however if we are to win anything this season he will need to find the net more often especially in difficult games or against teams proving hard to crack. Alonzo have been very helpful in scoring very important goals lately, asides morata whose primary duty is to score goals ,we will definitely need one or two more players to step up and help score crucial goals. Modified - I think conte should focus on winning one of the domestic cup competition this season especially FA, making top four finish and if possible getting to the semis of the ucl. 4 Likes 1 Share |

We need Griezman. Either one of Pedro or Willian should be sold. |

Looks like tammy Abraham has committed to Nigeria Super-eagles, after he was assured of a place in Russia by Pinnick. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4905786/Chelsea-kid-Tammy-Abraham-play-Nigeria-World-Cup.html 2 Likes |

Ibime:How? Is England a better footballing nation than Nigeria with a greater chance for silverware? What happened to the likes of agbonlahor, and Jordan ibe that dumped Nigeria for England and how many matches did they get to play for the 3 lions? With the likes of rashford, kane ahead of him and still young, what chance does he have? 7 Likes |

cstr1000: If true, he is making the best decision. He might earn a starting berth in England's starting line-up in the years to come but certainly not NOW. Kane, Rashford, Sterling, Sturridge and Vardy have got bigger shouts in Russia than the lad. Nigeria are offering him what England can't offer him. Spear-heading the SE's attack at the World Cup is one move that could change Tammy's footballing career forever. 2 Likes |

PietroRico:True. Nigeria is assembling a scarily good team for African standards. It is no wonder why the super-eagles walked over the world cup qualifier ''group of death'' like it was nothing. With a couple of more decent additions especially in defence and midfield, and an above average technical coaching crew, I dare say we could do something decent in Russia. |

diggz:He fits perfectly well into conte's formation(3-4-3 or 3-5-2). In 3-4-3 you don't need a perfect winger like Pedro but a scorer like Griezman. Hazard-Morata-Griezman will be very productive. In 3-5-2 formation Griezman can be used as ss, now this is his natural position(Supporting striker). |

cstr1000:much of the credit has to go to gernot Rorh and his crew. The man knows what he is doing. And his is making really good use of scouts to try and improve the national pool as much as possible. They keep unearthing promising players from all over Europe, many of which are of dual nationalities and are managing to convince a good number of them to switch. Nigerian national team games for the 1st time since I can remember have a clear tactical game plan even though the set up keeps changing with each game. Despite this it has only backfired once, against SA in uyo when tried to make onazi be our deeplying playmaker in Mike's absence. The idiot kept overhitting passes or delaying them till nacho was caught offside. On top of all that, he is willing to work, with delayed salary and never moans about it. Whoever hired this man, na God go bless am There was a time I heard his salary areers had run into serial months. I no even know if them don pay am yet 2 Likes |

Forlan on the PSG penalty saga. "Cavani deserves respect, Neymar wouldn't have done it to Messi. He was like a boy annoying him. What doesn't make sense is Alves didn't give the ball to Cavani but to Neymar as if he was his bitch." 8 Likes 2 Shares |

hensben: I hope you realize Conte's system relies heavily on the 3front players doing alot of running/pressing/defending ? I am sure you will find pedro or willian running at defenders and pressing from the front in most matches. They are also required to drop deep and help out in defending also. We can agree that the trio of hazard, morata and griezman looks good on paper however, I sincerely doubt those three will be a perfect fit for contes system, playing at the same time. 1 Like |

cstr1000: These are decisions you make at 23 not 19. Have you ever thought how much an England player makes from endorsements outside of football. Dele Alli makes millions in endorsements outside of football that he would never get as a Super Eagles player unless na Stanbic bank or Peak milk moi moi ambassadorship. Not to mention that being an England player gives you extra £20k per week on your contract than a Super Eagles player. We have not even got into Sporting reasons such as the demoralisation of being a Super Eagles player having to play with useless old players faking their age, inconsistency of player selection and lack of long-term team building, playing with players who big men carry come, staying in rubbish hotels cos someone chopped the money, flying on rickety planes cos someone chopped the money, bonus disputes while playing for Super Eagles, lack of adequate healthcare provision and compensation for injuries on National duty etc not to mention losing your club place everytime you travel for AFCON. You never start. If you are a pro with options, playing for Super Eagles should be a decision made from the age of like 23 when other options have failed 6 Likes 2 Shares |

I would prefer ATM's belgium winger, Carrasco or insigne or even Dybala to Griezmann. Chelsea dont seem willing to pay top bucks for a player. The best option would be do a swap Costa for Carrasco. Who else (winger) can Chelsea buy? |

Griffon: Yeah in terms of opportunities at the WC, this is a canny decision. He's definitely not getting ahead of Kane and Rashford anytime soon. Solanke is arguably ahead of him now in the England pecking order sef. If the likes of Zaha and Bolasie could not see England shirt, then Tammy might struggle because he has not even created enough hype through his gameplay as those ones did. A good display at the World Cup changes his life and career forever. 1 Like |
