Please guys, I intend assessing with CPA next month after my English test. Apart from the B.Sc qualification point, can I claim additional points for my ICAN certificate? The guide in page zero states "An award or qualification recognised by the assessing authority in the assessment of the skilled occupation- 10 points". So I'm not sure if ICAN would fall under this. I'll be submitting both my ICAN and Bsc documents so I need to know if I can claim points for the ICAN after they might have assessed my BSc as being equivalent to AQF. And also, does anyone know if UNN is under Tier 1? Thank you |

Membership of ICAN is assessed as equivalent to Australian Bachelor's Degree which is 15 points (this is from my CPA Assessment Outcome). If you have PhD, then additional point is sure for you. I will advice you ace your English test (20 points). That way, its much easier. 1 Like |

praiseisgood: Thanks. Did you submit both your uni documents and that of ICAN?. If I use solely my ICAN membership then I won't be able to claim points for experience as I just got inducted this year. This is why I'd wanna assess with my Bsc instead so I can claim points for experience too (apparently they start counting experience from the year you got qualified), hence why ICAN may not be sufficient for me. What do you advice, please? |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by praiseisgood: 10:23pm On Oct 06, 2017 |
^^^ I submitted both Uni & ICAN. The years of experience CPA stated as relevant for me preceded my ICAN qualification. If your work experience is at required level even before you bagged your ICAN, it will be recognized. So please submit both. They will most likely be assessed separately with little effect on your years of experience. I actually submitted 3 different qualifications. 1 Like |

Hello All, I have some questions: I studies Mech Engrn with some years experience, but non in the specialization skills required by Austrailia in the job code (233512) is it possible to just do my assessment for my BSC without doing the skills assessment. I should get up to the 60 point requirement with 0 experience. Will i still get the PR like this? Thanks |

authenticdmj:you will sail through even with 60 points if you have family in the territory or a job offer otherwise they tend to give everyone a 489 . Could you please share your list here for the benefit of MLS and MLT in the house.Cheers. |

Actual Visa Fee: You: A$3600 Your spouse: A $1800 Medical Fee: about A$400 each, actual exchange rate depends on your lcoal panel physician. PCC: NGN3500+ Yes, you can use your OND. Your experience starts counting from OND for trade qualifications. You'd also need to pass an English test (A$330) You need to research on the requirements for electrical; I heard they're very strict with the codes and standards. Hopefully, those in your field who has successfully gone through to receiving their grants would respond with a better info. Cheers shawnmich: |

catchdwind4rmkd: My email is having issue, and yes Jayoo has done very very. As a follow up question, what is he cut-off point to qualify for the 189 visa if i don't plan to claim experience point from my nominated skill (I believe you read my concerns above regarding my non-relevant experience). Is it higher than 60? |

Hi, the minimum cut off all occupations is 60. However, the current point for invitation for your occupation is 65 at the moment which still requires a long wait. You can apply for 190 though which would increase your point to 65. tenudo: |
