mdokaba1:Attention!!!!! U seem to have forgotten something dat tithe is for the development of God's work/house . Dat is how God's house is filled up after your house gets it's reward from Him. NB: u can't give ur tithe as a gift to better someone ( if it were ok God would have said dat b4) n u can't give gift as a tithe. Don't mix these up. Am out. 1 Like |

Oga what you just did is charity and it's different from paying tithe. The bible said "bring ye your tithe into the store house that they might be meat in mine HOUSE salty the Lord of host". True by giving to the poor you have lend to God and there's a blessing for that from God himself but don't trick yourself to think you can misquote God and what he had stated explicitly |
Re: I Just Gave My Tithe To A Beggar. Was I Wrong? by Roon9(m): 3:58pm On Oct 08, 2017 |
HajimeSaito: Be careful how you analyse the bible Sir. The wisdom of God transcends that of man. Giving to the poor is lending to God... When you lend you borrow and God will surely pay back; but tithing is the express commandment of God for his Children and the place of tithe is stated in the bible. Be careful how you quote scriptures Sir |

Malachi: 3. 10. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. There is a place called " THE STORE HOUSE". The beggar is not the store house for your information pls. God bless you for assisting but subsequently, your Tithe belongs to "THE STOREHOUSE" Be cause its frm d store hse that protection and increase comes. |

The question there is that according to the write up, the op had other money with him but chose to use his tithe. Why did he not use the other money with him rather than opting to use the tithe? |

Yureyes: I think you made an "honest" mistake let me help you det 14,24-27 " and if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to bring the tithe, when the lord your God blesses you, because the place is too far from you, which the lord your God chooses, to set his name there, then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and go to the place which the lord your God chooses, and spend the money for whatever you desire, oxen, or sheep, or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves; and you shall eat there before the lord your God and rejoice, you and your household. and you shall not forsake the levite who is within your towns, for he has no portions or inheritance with you " then from 28-29 " at the end of every 3 years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your produce in the same year and lay it up within your towns; and the levite, because he has no portions or inheritance with you, and the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your towns, shall come and eat and be filled; that the lord your God may bless you in all the works of your hands that you do. castro316:Well... Since that's your understanding... No probs... Do you mean because verses 23 talks about eating tihtes and 29 about not forsaking the levite(less privilege), them what the OP did is justified? Well, to you I may not understand English but to me, it's mandatory to pay tithes to the Lord's house... Or is the church far from him as stated in the Bible passage? I will repeat it... What op did was almsgiving.... It was not God that ordered him to pay his tithe to the begger... I won't quote you anymore... So pls stop quoting me |

These whole thing dey vex me, if you say OP didn't pay tithe but just gift then so be it, so prove why he is wrong or if he decide not to pay tithe again, will that make him goto hell? Cuz I wonder the kind of God that need my money to spread his gospel and also prefer his ministry to spread while his creation live in penury. 1 Like |

profmiganigal: Deuteronomy 14:22. "You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year. 23. And you shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place where He chooses to make His name abide, the tithe of your grain and your new wine and your oil, of the firstborn of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always. 24. But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or if the place where the LORD your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, when the LORD your God has blessed you, 25. then you shall exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place which the LORD your God chooses. 26. And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household. 27. You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no part nor inheritance with you. 28. "At the end of every third year you shall bring out the tithe of your produce of that year and store it up within your gates. 29. And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do. |

what you exercise was an act of generosity of giving alms to the less privileged. You were right at the first place by deducting your tithes. but you paid it in a wrong way. Tithe should be paid to your church Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. |

YOU ARE NOT ONLY WRONG,YOU ARE STUPID,SELF_CONCEITED,DISOBEDIENT,PROUD,AND ARROGANT.GIVE IT TO THE PASTOR THAT TEACHES YOU THE WORD.DONT GET SUNK BY ALL THESE FAITHLESS AND WORLDLY INSURRECTIONS AGAINST THE CONCEPT OF TITHE GOING ON IN THE SOCIAL MEDIA.YOU HAVE SURELY BEEN MISLED.IF YOUR PASTOR BUYS PRIVATE JET WITH IT,LET HIM,LEAVE HIM TO GOD TO JUDGE.DO WHAT THE WORD SAYS ,CHRISTIANS DONT HAVE ANY OTHER MANUAL FROM THE BIBLE. |

Student125: It is mandatory to pay your tithe. As Laid down by God and backed up by Jesus. It is the tithe the church uses in their missionary works. If you feel your pastors are cheating and deceiving you or even robbing you, you can find another church. Individuals should not be forced out compelled to pay tithe. It is between you and God, if you like pay and if you like don't pay. |

adjoviomole: Oga I don't know why you find it hard to read your bible. Open it. And get understanding and. Jesus christ said that whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers that you do unto me. Is Jesus not God again? And secondly, read this Deuteronomy 14:22. 26. "At the end of every third year you shall bring out the tithe of your produce of that year and store it up within your gates. 29. I just read Deuteronomy 14: 24-29 and I just found out that tithe means FOOD, FOOD for eating. it is not meant for propagation of the gospel. it is food that is gathered for feeding your family and the less privileged in the society. now what I'm imagining is that when the Israelites paid tithes it was like an outreach. maybe like a party that all the poor people and the helpless people attended so that they will have FOOD to eat and be merry. so tithe is primarily meant for the poor. I rest my case |
