Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Nobody: 7:41am On Oct 17, 2017 |
Hello Nikkycool, You need transcript, apprenticeship contract, trade certificate and employment documents. Also they require your trade certificate to be government recognised institution not just any baker training certificate. Go to their website and download the MSA booklet to help you. The assessment will take 90days bearing in mind that they won't contact you for more information as they assume you submitted everything you need. Ask Mamajaz for my number if you need more info nikkycool: |

Good morning all, is anyone here able to claim 15points for Bsc gotten from a Tier 2 university eg Unilorin or Uniben. I meant if one has a positive outcome from an assessing body without the body stating the level of degree, has anyone gone ahead to claim a Bsc degree with it and got the visa after getting ITA? |

@Nikkycool This answers your question I believe, although I was contacted when they sent my transcript to school for verification and the school asked for verification fee, so they contacted me to make the payment. uchenna2017: |

Good Peeps in the house..@zany, I appreciate you for all your guidance, assistance and insightful knowledge you have shared in the forum. I am interested in pursuing an Australia skilled independent visa (subclass 189). I am a Geographical Information Systems Analyst. My nominated occupation is Other Spatial Scientist, ANZSCO Code: 232214, Accessing Authority - Vetassess I am 37 years old, with 7+ years of experience in the Geospatial industry. My education qualifications are as follows: B.Tech. (Honors) in Computer science – Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Nigeria (2004) B.Sc. (Honors) in Geoinformatics - University of Stellenbosch, South Africa (2010) M.Sc. in Geographical Information Systems – University of South Wales, UK (2014) I would want to start my application process by firstly applying for Vetasssess skills assessment. I presently withhold all my transcripts which was given to me on the dates of my graduation. But I read on Vetassess website that for Nigerian qualifications, it must be sealed and sent directly to their institution. On that note, I will have to travel to Ogbomosho (LAUTECH) to request for another transcript. Unfortunately, LAUTECH is on strike as we speak, but still I must find a way to get it sorted. Please kindly highlight if the transcript sent via courier., when will be the best time to apply for the assessment? just to be sure that they received the transcript. Please I will kindly need your help with regards to this crucial process of my skills assessment. Any advice on completing my skills assessment in anticipation for a good feedback. I will be eternally grateful. Thank you and God bless. |

Morning all. Has anyone attempted ACS evaluation. Am checking their site and it states higher education transcripts are meant to be scanned and uploaded on the ACS portal. Kindly confirm if this is right as my school does not send transcript to an individual, so am wondering how i would get to upload the transcript. Thanks |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Cognito79: 9:01am On Oct 17, 2017 |
@Deon2020, Since your qualification from South Africa will be considered as the most relevant to your nominated occupation, I don't think you need to sweat the Nigerian qualification. However, if you are asked, you can arrange for it. You can apply for assessment even before requesting for the transcript. The difference is that it may be delayed if they don't get the transcript on time. |

Hi fellow Nairalanders, just a quick update. My family of 4 left Lagos on 14th for Dubai DXB airport and we had a 4 hours stop over. The ticket IOM sent us only had a stop over at Dubai but we were surprised To have another stop over at Bangkok, though a brief one. Emirate is excellent and their in flight entertainment system really helped in relieving the stress of the journey. After about 24 hours on the air, we safely arrived Sydney by 9am on the 16th of oct. We clear the customs easily and people here are so helpful, we got two stranger helped with out trolley and Sannywemmy was already waiting to pick us up. He's an excellent guy and so is his wife. Thanks to other members who kept tracking us on the air: ayaboyo, sir bellong, mctowel, bnimz, kikiade and my personal person @disectur. Special thanks to my landlord(Jamson) and Mrs Jamson for her hospitality, the efo and semo was very much on point. On the 17th of oct, Sannywemmy is around again to take us to centerlink and we complete our registrations. I'll give more update as we settle. 24 Likes |
