Yep. At work I can log on to the US Army War College and read them. Hardly the nefarious endeavour that Putin the Thug's propaganda arm, Russia Today is making it out to be.
Dare I say, anyone at the SA Military Academy can and do produce simulated plans for SANDF invasions of various African countries.
It's nothing more than an interesting intellectual exercise which all professional militaries should do.

Yeah I am sure we have plans for Invading and being invaded.

The Namibian Air Force is relatively new, didn't exist until post independence. For a population of about 2 million people without oil money they're punching above their wight.
Wait till their Kudu Gas Fields come on stream and they'll match their Botswana rivals by acquiring Gripen, and overtake us by including Meteor BVR missiles and air-to-air refueling grin grin grin.

not every conflict will be like another Gambi, consider the light armoured vehicles phillipine army deployed to marawi city(which eventually ended up costing more live of their troops)forcing Philippine soldiers to improvise with makeshift shields against ISIS 50 caliber machine gun and recoilless rifle in the urban maze.don't rush to war and then end up loosing more lives
I agree, conflicts differ. However my comment has never been on the Army rolling out solely in LAVs. Not my point.

I'm saying army first responders should have the mobility, speed, firepower and protection at an affordable cost to hold the line before the rest of the Army joins in the fight.

The PF2 vehicle can withstand 2 simultaneous grenade blasts underneath the vehicle and protect against a 7.62mm.

In Nigeria, we have seen LAVs carry up-to 23mm cannons, which is increased firepower for the troops to play with.

I just wish they can go a step further, build an IFV, or a vehicle Nexter Titus and throw in a 30mm on top.

I say Namibia put up plenty of solar panels in the desert then mine Bitcoins. That's their money maker right there.

So both Namibia and Botswana will use the Gripen to patrol swaps while we use ours to monitor our rhinos. Southern Africa has military swag cool

This is just a bunch of hyperbolic rubbish, to be filed away with THE U.S CIA signing of on the demise of NIGERIA in 2014. The U.S suffered 28 casualties in Somalia and the U.S Congress demanded the immediate withdrawal of ALL U.S Soldiers.
The U.S and Nigeria are Allies and their INTERESTS are in alignment. The U.S trains certain segments of NIGERIAN armed Forces and Some U.S SOF have trained in the N'Delta.
There are certain people who would believe in everything and anything that has to do with the breakup of Nigeria, it ain't going to happen.
well I hope not. wow that's good I was almost scared when I read what he wrote. Oh wait I am still scared. Why? Because Henry Kissinger is quoted to have said "there are no permanent friends in the international system just permanent interests."
For once I want to support the conspiracy theorists and beg that we acquire some semblance of coastal and airdefence capabilities and stop throwing stupid comments like America is our friend anytime comments about the security of our continuous existence as a sovereign state comes up.
Imagine what you are typing despite your alleged robust knowledge of the international system.
You were told a friend of yours may be planning to rob you, you ve seen your friend give excuses to rob others in the past but you hide under the false security that your friend is your friend and your friend cannot rob you.

Do please outline America's interest to us and cross reference them with Nigeria's interest giving examples of past historical events to back your point up.

And pushing forward to the future analsyse the prospect of American -Nigerian relations in the area of defense, economy and culture?

And try not to mention the war against terror, terror is an international problem and the US would side with even her most dangerous enemy to manage it

For once give some reasonable reason why, while everybody is running simulated invasions of each others territory, Building their militaries to counter emerging threats and designing war machines that can and will render the whole communication infrastructure of a nation useless in the event of a conflict.you seem to be quite sure that for one reason or the other we will stay safe in a world at war.

it might surprise u , the Russians r now hobnobbing with the Taliban their nemesis of yore and betraying the northern alliance whom they supported in past , just to make things difficult for the US wink

and we wonder why terrorism never dies sad

"there are no permanent friends among nations just permanent interests" is the eternal truth

Do please outline America's interest to us and cross reference them with Nigeria's interest giving examples of past historical events to back your point up.
America's interest in Nigeria regardless of whether a Democrat or a Republican is in power after the debris of the election has been cleared has followed a consistent path.
Nigeria should be a Democratic State, stable by relative African terms and be a partner in terms of World Stability (African sphere of influence) examples are Liberia, Sierra Leone, Somalia , and more recently Gambia. In Liberia at the Conclusion of the Civil War and as a warning to Charles Taylor . The US sent an Aircraft carrier to Liberia but deliberately stayed off shore and waited for the Nigerians to take all the credit before having one of their senior officers disembark to meet with Brig Okonkwo ( N.A)

And pushing forward to the future analsyse the prospect of American -Nigerian relations in the area of defense, economy and culture?
The prospect of American -Nigerian Relations in the area of defense has increased tremendously since GEJ and BHO have both left office,
Nigeria receives real time CASH ,Satellite and Drone INTEL from both the US and the U.K. PDT has invited PMB to the White House and has ignored A.I to indicate he will be selling Weapons and Planes to Nigeria, Economy wise The U.S has turned away from buying Oil from Venezuela due to poor relations to buying from Nigeria.
http://www.africanews.com/2017/03/06/us-increases-imports-of-nigerian-crude-by-287-percent//
"Latest data from the US Energy information Administration (EID) shows that the country imported 76.9 million barrels of the country’s oil in 2016."
In July 2017 I believe the U.S imported North of 2M Barrels from Nigeria.America wants for their own interests for Nigeria to be stable enough and prosperous enough to hold free elections, that is why the U.S aid lent the Dangote Group $997 Million for the Dangote Refinery.
And try not to mention the war against terror, terror is an international problem and the US would side with even her most dangerous enemy to defeat it.
Since the left wing of the State Dept finally accepted that BH is actually international, things have improved compared to before.

America's PRIMARY focus is N.Korea and Iran both Countries are PAST the Simulated phase, Any Country can run a simulation it does mean it is a reality nor does something from West point mean anything .
War COSTS Money Starting in the Millions and Ending in the Billions that is why a LOT of Countries do not go to WAR anymore unless they feel their own EXISTENTIAL threats are at risks.

We don't anymore. We had 5, with 2 being Electronic Warfare and Early Warning Capability. They were retired in 2007, to be replaced by the A400M. We stupidly pulled out of that and lost both air to air refueling and strategic airlift.
Doing it on a simulator is all our pilots can do till things change.
