Morning, please when reapplying for a spousal visa after an initial refusal. do I tick yes for the question below ' "Have you made an application to the Home Office to remain in the UK in the last 10 years?" Also please when reapplying, apart from updating bank statements and payslips. can i just resubmit the same documents? such as letter from landlords and employer even though they are dated August? Thank you |

Phoenix77: I did a master’s in the uk, so I don’t need to take the test, but the test is very important. You can go the NARIC way if you have a Nigerian degree or take the IeLts life test (I think it’s called). Please scroll back 3 pages and read from there someone mentioned the tests and another mentioned the method with NARIC. Some gentle man even posted a way to get your transcrip faster if you scroll up my response a bit. I would implore you to go back at least 10 pages from this, to see what you can gather. Feel free to post questions, even if I might not be of much help, someone will. |

Pls house, my wife is British and I plan on relocating there, does that make my application a settlement husband or is it the settlement wife pls. It's better to ask silly questions that make silly mistakes. |

I don't think that article applies to applications from outside the UK. The British child is already settled outside the UK. Article 8 applies to families already living together that could be separated. For instance, your second stage visa application from the UK. Donnurudeen: |

Phoenix77:I can only help with your first question. The correct test for the spouse settlement visa is life skills A1. Can be taken only in Lagos and Abuja. You can register and pay online. |

Lamakinde: The applicant doesn't need to add his or her own bank statement or letter from employer, the sponsor needs to submit all that. Tenancy agreement is enough you don't need to add receipt of rent payment. If you are renting 1 or two bedroom flat you don't need a letter from your landlord allowing your wife or husband to live with you, show me where that is mentioned as a requirement. You only need a letter from landlord in the case of multiple occupation accommodation |

Thanks to the awesome members who continue to engage and profer solutions, I have learnt a lot, avoided mistakes and still learning. Please the matter of licenced marriage certificate from a licenced church ie form E FGN marriage certificate issued in a licenced church to be used for spouse visa has being my concern. Please @justwise and other moderators, will this pose a problem? |
