Kog45:Yes ooo. We must love our own. While we are not blind to their faults, we must yet give them their due accolades. If we don't do it, nobody will do it for us. Imagine four four two magazine compiled a list of 100 greatest footballers not even a single African was mentioned, not even George Weah. Se oro niyen? |

Kog45: We don't have many options at LB. I would still love to have a natural left back despite having Aina in the team, we shouldn't stop our search now. I'm sure Deji won't make the final 23,and him training with the 1st team now would make him realize that pledging his future to us wasn't a mistake. He's one for the future, as he's indicated interest in playing for us. And for Brian, he plays LB for his club, and he's pretty versatile too. Rorh has been looking to add him to his team for a while now, if not for Papers. And with Dessers, it's personal really. I haven't seen what Nwakeme has to offer, so I'd put them on same level. Dessers has done pretty well at club level, I prefer his style of play with what I've seen compared to Nwakeme. And Rorh told him to move to a bigger club if he wants to play for the eagles and he's done that already. |

Ndidi Has Class – Ian Wright Changes Opinion After Ndidi’s Dazzling Display Vs Stoke Arsenal and English Premier League legend Ian Wright says Wilfred Ndidi showed a lot in Leicester City 2-2 draw against Stoke City for him to be named Man of the Match. A week ago, Wright labelled Ndidi and every other player signed by Leicester City after their title triumph not good enough for the team, but Ndidi won him over with his display against Stoke. Ndidi assisted Riyad Mahrez for Leicester City’s second goal with a well timed tackle, and overall had a very good game in the middle for Leicester City although they twice let their lead slip to draw 2-2. Speaking as a pundit for SkySports Wright said the Nigerian helped Leicester to take control of the game with his tireless running and well timed tackles. ” You have to look at Ndidi and how he got the tackle in, no foul, very neat tackle and that’s class from the 20 years old. He worked his socks off for his team and made it difficult for Stoke City”, Wright said. Source: OGN 1 Like |

Porto Musa Yahaya Will Soon Join 2013 Eaglet In Super Eagles – Manu Predicts Former coach of the Nigeria U17 team Manu Garba has tipped FC Porto rising star Musa Yahaya as the next in line to join his 2013 set of World Youth Championship winning team in the senior team of Nigeria. Already nine players from the team have made the progression to the senior team of Nigeria, and Manu who handled the players in their formative years has tipped Musa Yahaya to join his peers in the senior team.. ” More players from my 2013 U17 World Cup winning team will make the step up to the senior team. Most of them are beginning to find their rhythm in their respective teams in Europe “, Manu told Owngoalnigeria.com. ” Taiwo Awoniyi isn’t doing bad in Belgium where he is on loan from Liverpool, Musa Muhammed has found his bearing in Bulgaria, Even Chidera Ezeh isn’t doing badly for Portimonense in Portugal. ” As for your question on who I think will be the next to make the Super Eagles, I will say Musa Yahaya. He has the quality and talent, he need few more games at Porto and the world will see the special qualities he has”, Manu concluded. Source : OGN 1 Like |

Egbon Forgiveness, come che chum chim. Ex-Flying Eagles Skipper On Target For CD Lugo Vs Real Oviedo Published: November 05, 2017 Former Flying Eagles skipper Ramon Azeez scored his second goal of the season but could not prevent CD Lugo from losing 3-2 to Real Oviedo in a Segunda División clash at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere on Sunday afternoon. The defensive midfielder equalized for his team on the hour mark (2-2), with a right footed shot from the center of the box to the top right corner off an assist from Nicolás Albarracin. Cristian Herrera had given the visitors the lead in the 11th minute, before goals from Saul Berjon and Miguel Linares in the opening minutes of the second half turned the game on its head. Aaron Niguez scored in the 71st minute to snatch all three points for Real Oviedo. Ramon Azeez opened his goal-scoring account for CD Lugo against Barcelona in September and had gone six games without scoring before facing Real Oviedo. The 24-year-old has not played for the national team for more than three years. Igho Kingsley Photo Credit : instagram.com/azeez_ramon12 Source : ANS 2 Likes |

Mujtahida: Last seasons FA cup with Sutton United who play in the national Vanarama league. Sutton Played against league 2 Cheltenham United, League 1 AFC Wimbledon League 1 and Leeds United championship and beat all three teams then finally loosing to a full strength Arsenal 2-0. Sutton were not promoted to League 2 and remained mid table in the Vanarama national league. How many of thier players progressed thier best player Deacon moved to Dundee United and that's about it. It's the continous consistent top quality performances that determine true quality of a top team and player. Not flash in the pan one off outstanding. performances or one hit wonders. So having one good game is indicative but very far from being conclusive of top quality. |

Icon79: This is a repeat comment but felt I should respond more directly than indirectly. True quality and ability are not determined by one game, even more so in cup competitions. But with consistent, continous top quality performances over a period. In this regard I disagree whith what you wish to proferr as being a good objective rational for quality players selection. In other words you are essentially proposing to create a new set of performance measuring standards for Nigerian players in Europe separate from any other ability measurements. That's being openly biased and an attempt to enthrone mediocrity over quality. It will never help our players. They need to understand the quality parameters and professionalism required and attain them not avoid them. You would be setting up players in European football leagues to fail. And then be honoured for failing in European football in my opinion ludicrous. Shockingly quite a few people seem to agree with you. I am not sure if by sentiment or by objectivity. I will use a reference of last seasons FA cup with Sutton United FC who play in the national Vanarama league. One game doesn't determine your season but the sum total of games played over a season. We are ranked 41 and Germany, Brazil, Portugal Argentina, Belguim. 1,2,3,4, 5 respectively it's not by mistake. I will point out although Belguim league is ranked near 10 far from top quality. The bulk of thier players do not play in it, at a guess probably most from the EPL. Indeed all these top ranked teams will have quite a few players from the EPL. It's about picking quality players from the best teams and best leagues. With very few if any exceptions. |

junnyjake: Russian league ranked 6th in Europe how many Nigerian play in that league Fegor Ogude plays in the same club as Brian Idowu forgotten to as well. Why are they being forgotten They are not youth players but seasoned professionals playing at a very good level regularly. Or maybe they need to go to Norway in a backwater leagues and in a bottom club. Then they might be seen by the esteemed scouting team of the NFF. 1 Like |

DrKlever:I've hammered this point endlessly too. The Iwobi that plays on the wings is half the Iwobi that plays as an AM. The earlier this is recognised the better. I have a feeling he would outshine Mikel playing as our AM. ---------------------------Iwobi - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -------------Mikel - - - - - - - - - Onazi/Ndidi - - - - - - - |
