Hello Guys I was discouraged from applying to australia about 2 years ago due to exchange rates.

I have a B.SC Electronic / Electrical and
M.ENg Electrical Machines and Power Systems.
I could get 3 episodes from mY bsc/ msc and also work experience but I need encouragement.

Any one got an idea how much It gonna cost to access as a professional engineer ?

Please encourage me I wanna dive in again.

Hello. Please good people especially anybody that has dealt with Engineers Australia in the past.

Also I couldnt find the link to check for the appropriate skill code to pursue.

I need some guidance please.

My concern is that I already have 65 points (30pt age, 15 pt Masters, 20pts pte by faith)

Is this good enuff ? Do people that score 65 get called for electrical engs. Please house I need sm1 to advise me.

Oga belong thanks for asking. We are already putting together our CDR for that.

Good.. Godspeed and goodspeed.

Oga Bellong,

Abeg I need help on this question. I have HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, nine years of work experience with Schlumberger (Completion department). Age is 36, waiting for IELTS results. I can't figure out what occupation I should apply under. Please I need help.

Thanks alot.

Apply as an electrical engineering draftsperson. Check the Anzsco description for the occupation and pattern yours to it while writing CDR.

@Guitarlife,

I remember that it was writing of CDR that was the challenge at the time. If you had been persistent as I advised you, you would have forgotten that you passed through the process.
However, it is not too late. What has changed is that you require high points for faster ITA, at least 70 points. If you have 65 as an electrical engineer, you should be able to get ITA sooner or later.

MSc and BSc are both 15points. Go to Engineer Australia's website for all the information you need.

Oga Bellong Kedu. Thanks for always supporting us God will reward you.
I went thru some things at that time but all glory to God.
I am ready to dive in now.
3 quick qtns though.

1. By 32 years are they refereing to before 32 years or 32 years and some months as long as its not 33 years.
2. With regards to financial outlay I am estimating these PTE 60k + EA 1250aud +VISA ? +Flight ? + Miscellaneous.
3. Will Msc Contribute to a positive assessment as a professional Electrical Eng ? I only majored in Power Eng at Msc and that is the motivation.
My Bsc was rather Communications and I am planning on putting in for the Electrical Engineer that pertains to power also one if my CDR will be my Msc thesis.

What is the draw back of using the Msc too for EA ?

Am I good ?

By the way any info on the best way to go about PTE ? Book ? Site ?

Good afternoon, everyone.

Has anyone assessed as mathematician, actuary or statistician in the house? How did it go? What was the outcome?

Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 12:22am On Nov 10, 2017
@Amahjosh,

Yes, you can use your NYSC, Thesis, and IT to write the CDR. Make sure you ask someone in that field here to help you proofread before submitting.

@Guitarlife,

1. Even if you are 32yrs 11 months, as long as you are not 33.

2. Yes, include cost of medicals. Hopefully you hit 20 points in English on first attempt.

3. Since you did power in your MSc, I will advice that your CDR should be strictly on power. From what I have read, EA likes to push most elect/elect graduate to electronic engineering. Your MSc should be good in this situation.

Qualification: B.Sc mathematics
Experience: I work in the tax office. Some of my responsibilities (btw 2010 - 2015) fit that of a mathematician according to the anzsco code, but presently, i do more of a tax accountant work.

Which university?

VETASSES is the assessing body. Mathematics is your best shot if your University is in the tier 1.

If you are still working in the same place, no need to change your job descriptions.

He do me strong thing for MTH 201 and 202 too. (and in many other MTH courses sef) I am not sure there is anyone who had any contact with Maths dept that did not feel Layeni's heat. But, he really is a nice person.

He had such a high expectation and just did not get the fact that not everyone loves mathematics.

In all, he was mostly just misunderstood and he was also very shy.

Maybe you met him when his understanding has improved.

He never taught me but was the one signing MTH101 when I decided to do it. There was a long queue outside his office and he was busy chatting with girls while we were left in limbo. I was angry and I challenged him that why would he leave us hanging to be chatting with the girls in his office. He didn't believe any student could be bold to tell him the truth, he threatened me and said I wouldn't take the course.

He was talking to a frustrated student at the time who didn't care about his threat. At least my utterance made him to start signing course form.

Need I say that we actually became friends before leaving his office that day. He was talking about formula One (car race) and nobody knew what he was talking about except me. That was what settled the quarrel cheesy

Between are you guys on night shift? Rose and spyroxy

That is the thing with Layeni; most times, most people around him do not have any idea of what he is talking about.

I am studying. I've ICAN exams next week (Taxation tinz)
