Mine was PGD too. Refused based on those reasons too..PGD hardly fly.. I will advise you let them know your reason for applying fr PGD instead of MSC, that's what I intend doing next, anything is still possible. [Qquote author=OriEyeLe post=62447822]PGD. If I don't even understand how to tackle all those reasons sef [/quote] |

Hello my people, Many thanks to every contributor here. My University offered me admission on the 9th Nov for a programme starting 8 Jan, 2018. I have been offered a graduate research assistant fellowship which is valued at 25000 CAD yearly. Although the fellowship grant does not cover my tuition, I plan to authorise my Uni to deduct my tuition from my grant. I have already started my online application, but yet to submit as I have some questions to ask us here: 1. Can the fellowship approval letter alone serve as a proof of sufficient grant to a visa officer or I may have to support this with bank statements 2. Do I stand the chance of getting TRV approval between now and, say December 31, 2017? 3. My upfront medical exam appointment is today. Do I also have to request for an upfront police certificate, or wait for it to be requested from me? 4. Any other advise you may give to facilitate the application process. Thanks. 3 Likes |

Pyale: Congrats for your admission, you will have to provide additional form of financial support to show that you are financially OK and able to carter for your study without the Research Assistant grant which maybe seen as a job offer, so you don't get refused based on not able to finance your study without working in Canada excuse. You can get an approval before your resumption date, it seems there are quite few number of application that is been processed at the moment because the rate of approval/denial right now is fast. My advice, get your police report, and submit with your application, don't make them ask for it. Other advice, cross every T's and dot every I's , don't give the VO any reason to doubt your intentions... Good luck, Ire o... 2 Likes |

Goodday, ive been following this thread for a while. I applied for a Canadian Study permit to study in a Flight School for approximately a year and some weeks. I submitted my application on 25th October, 2017 and i got a message to check my profile yesterday. After i checked, i found out that my eligibilty had changed to "We regret to inform you that you do not meet the eligibility requirements. Please see the final decision below" but theres nothing infront of the Final decision. its just blank. (from this i already know its a denial) I immediately mailed the flight school to inform them of the denial and they replied me. Below is the picture of the mail. i would like to get a suggestion on what to do next or if the decision can still be changed if the school contacts them. Thank you as i anticipate a reply. 1 Share

Ayo0mide: Try and act on what the school asked you to do... it's seemly possible that there might be a way out... |

Ayo0mide: You applied for a TRV a year ago? I am not understanding you. I know flight school applicants undergo serious scrutiny, necessitating time to check through and verify everything to make sure its is right. You have the 9/11 hijackers to thank for that. Everywhere government has restructured the way it conducts business in the aftermath of 9/11. Even this biodata sharing information between countries, is due to that event. At any length, try and send the letter of denial to the school. They might be able to write a letter to the embassy addressing some of the concerns raised. A bulk of the concern raised has to be addressed by you though in your next application. The letter from school helps only a little because the burden of proof rests with the applicant, not the school. 1 Like |

Cherryola:Let me help here with this so you don't have to ask repeatedly. Proof of your co sponsor's income will be more of interest to the VO. Your co-sponsor definitely would not have an income from an unlicensed filling station. So you wanting to prove his/her business and also showing he earns from it using an unlicensed station most likely would not convince the officer. It's either the individual owns a filling station and shows that he has been earning from it to enable him/her support you or provide an alternative source of income. This is what they will look out for and not what he claims he owns that would not provide for your support. However,if the person has alternative source(s) of income which is sustainable for your study, he/she can add the filling station registration document to show co sponsor has an asset. Sponsorship is about the applicant and how funds would be generated to support his/her study. |

I need more explanation on am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee. |
