I think the process for lawyers is somehow cumbersome. I think you will be better off if your husband is the PA. Check the requirements for software engineers.

Read at least page 0 to understand the process and ask question/clarification afterwards. People would be willing to respond after you have made some efforts yourself.

Zany.
Hi Zany, you are doing a good job here. Please could you help me clarify this... who should be the PA between I and my husband.
Me-First degree: Agriculture from a foreign university....banking experience

Husband-Computer Engineer from a Nigerian private university ..
I am particularly concerned about the assessment outcome . .. are all private universities rated as tier 2?

Hello,

Please i need some clarifications from you.
I want to do qualification assessment for my wife. I'm the principal applicant, but i need her assessment to gain more points. She has BSc in Accounting from Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto, she's a recent graduate with no work experience. My questions are as follows:

1. Does CPA assess qualification alone, and how much do they charge for that?

2. She's a student of ICAN but not a member of any professional accounting body, does she stand any chance of getting a positive assessment?

3. Aside from her BSc transcripts, is there any other documents to be attached?

Thank you in advance for your prompt response @toslad @Hephzibah @40manlappy.

okdee:
Hello, I'm doing my assessment with CPA,

1. yes the $453 is for both qualification and experience assessment, I had a positive assessment for qualifications but requested additional documentation for experience which I recently forwarded to them.

2. I paid with a foreign card as it was the most convenient for me, but i don't think you'll have problems with payment.

3. My ACCA was assessed to be equivalent to an Australian Bachelors degree, I believe ICAN will similar faith, and yes its not compulsory.

4. I don't know

mokikeoj:
Hello, pls did your university also send your transcript to CPA and was it hard copy or upload?
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by okdee: 11:46pm On Nov 25, 2017
Hello,

My BSc in Accounting from from Lead City university was assessed to be equivalent to an Australian Associate Degree.

1. Same price i believe $473 (AUD)

2. She will be assessed based on what she has in relation to the occupation she's assessing for.

3. I sent scanned copy of full academic transcript (4years) and certificate.

I don't think your online program will give you an additional point. You must have live in Australia for the duration of the program and the program should be at least for two years. What's the title of your city and guilds certificate, is it a diploma and in what course?

VETASSES is the assessing body. Mathematics is your best shot if your University is in the tier 1.

If you are still working in the same place, no need to change your job descriptions.

Tier 2

This is really sad, plan to access my degree in Computer science(4 years) at Ekiti State University.

1. Does it mean i can't claim 15 points with 2 years 5 months experience

I intend to nominate ICT security specialist (ANZSCO 262112). My ielts result is (S:7,W:8, R:6.5, L:7), gonna give PTE a shot.

In btw, has anyone gotten positive accessment(ICT security specialist)?

Good job everyone. Thanks for the great job!
Kindly tolerate my ignorance and please help with a summarized guide on PR for Skilled immigrants. I would have loved to review the whole thread but my schedule has been very tight lately due to my job function in the banking environment. Below are my credentials:

Degree: Bsc Zoology OAU (What tier and Visa category pls?)
Occupation : Banking
Please which do I assess between the above 2 and which body does the assessment?
Years of Experience: 8
English Test: Not yet done
Marital Status: Married with 3 kids

I would appreciate if anyone can also avail me relevant info that can help my chances.

Yes you can assess your skill as both external auditor and accountant. My hubby did just that after he got a negative response from vetasssess as internal auditor.
We used CA and got positive for both.

Hi @tyosho,

How many points did your hubbys get for skill and education? Did he assess ICAN by any chance? How did he get transcripts from ICAN?

See below link on how to get your ICAN transcript. I'm yet to do mine though, so I'm not sure if that's how it really works. You can also place a call to them I guess.

Engineers Australia now accepts PTE-A for assessment, minimum score of 50 in each of the 4 modules.
I think that's great news for those that haven't taken IELTS.

I think you should be careful assessing for ICT Security except your work experience is in that line and you can get reference letter from work to back it up. In addition to that, since ACS will likely assess your degree to be equivalent to Australia associate degree, you will be required to have at least 4years experience to get a good outcome. I'd advice you read the requirements of that occupation well before you go ahead with it.

But if your work experience is related to IT support, hardwares and installations and you are single too grin, you can check out Hardware Technician assessed by TRA, you will likely get your 15points for education from them, at least I'm a witness of this.

Best.

Your second attempt was better than my IELTS. I don't think you need any tip from me. Nonetheless, all I can recommend is that you improve on what you have done to get second result. Writing can be a pain in the ass, especially with an essay topic you have little or no clue about. Best regards bra

Hmm, are you saying writing is the most difficult part of IELTS? I've written 3 mock PTE tests and my average results are: S 62 W 88 R 73 L 81. I'm confident about my writing. Please advise.
