Please, when did they increase the points for invitation to 70 points? Thought its 60 points.

Chemical Engineer is the first and last option for you.

Can't see why you accepted Engineering Technologist even with your 5yrs experience in the Chemical Industry.

Good thing is that you're willing to refine!
It would only cost you more but it's worth every penny.

Submit another application to EA as a Chemical Engineer and ensure that the outcome is a professional engineer.

Cheers!

Hmm, are you saying writing is the most difficult part of IELTS? I've written 3 mock PTE tests and my average results are: S 62 W 88 R 73 L 81. I'm confident about my writing. Please advise.
Was talking bout IELTS. That's for me though.

I totally understand you. I was just thinking if 'writing' is supposedly the toughest (broadly speaking) in the IELTS exam.

Hi Zany and other gurus.
Is it wise for me to use the design of my final year project, as one career episode, and the construction of the same project as my second career episode?

Diploma and in electrical/mechanical engineering
doyen06:

I don't think your online program will give you an additional point. You must have live in Australia for the duration of the program and the program should be at least for two years. What's the title of your city and guilds certificate, is it a diploma and in what course?
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by felinco87: 3:27am On Nov 27, 2017
- Diploma and in electrical/mechanical engineering (city and guilds)
- Ond/Hnd marine engineering

Please, which body does the evaluation of these degrees and how do I make payment?
What points/Marks am I likely to get for a combination of the two above.

Thanks.

PTE has freed me at last at the third attempt.

S=90 L= 90 W = 90 R= 90.

For speaking please practice tongue twisters it will improve your fluency. My fluency jumped from 71 in the second attempt to 90 this time. Also spend time communicating in english, it will improve your fluency and pro reading, study collocations and re-order paragraph a lot and for the multiple answer section, if you are not sure of the answer please don't choose it because it attracts negative marking.
For writing, in the summary section, don't write too much because it will complicate the sentences. For listening, listen very well and try to pick 3 to 5 key phrases especially in the summarize spoken test.

I found that PTE requires thorough practice. Practice everyday and pray for grace.

Alright then. Just know that if you need your ICAN to be boost you, only work experience after ICAN will count. But if you don't, and your degree can stand on its own, then all you post-graduation relevant work experience will count.

Just remember to add your ICAN transcripts.

Hello Guys,

Please any accountant with a Bsc. In accounting got a positive assessment with Bsc alone without ICAN added?

The points is still 60, but a lot of people now have higher points hence they get picked first and used up all the slot. It will revert once the high pointers are all invited.

What you need to include is when you joined the company, your positions, job description to match the ANZSCO JD, your salary and other entitlements, hours per week and you will be fine.

Hello,

Please i need some clarifications from you.
I want to do qualification assessment for my wife. I'm the principal applicant, but i need her assessment to gain more points. She has BSc in Accounting from Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto, she's a recent graduate with no work experience. My questions are as follows:

1. Does CPA assess qualification alone, and how much do they charge for that?

2. She's a student of ICAN but not a member of any professional accounting body, does she stand any chance of getting a positive assessment?

3. Aside from her BSc transcripts, is there any other documents to be attached?

Thank you in advance for your prompt response @toslad @Hephzibah @40manlappy.

Hi uchey,

Accountant assessment is more of coverage of required competencies. If your school syllabus covers the required competencies you will surely get a positive assessment ( after meeting other requirements). You can visit CPA or ICAA sites for comprehensive details.

The challenge about schools is that if your school is a tier 2 school, your educational qualification will be assessed as associate degree (which points tally is not good for accountants). ICAN membership is however assessed as equivalent to bachelor's degree which will give you 15 points.

All the best.
