With your experience, you can try mechanical engineering technician which is assessed by TRA but nominated by TAS and SA for 190 and 489 visa.

Since your qualification is electrical/mechanical, check whether you can align your job description to match electrical engineering technician as this is available for 189, 190 and 489 visa. This is also assessed by TRA.

Read up and ask specific questions people with experience with TRA would assist.

Thanks for your information. I also want to ask if you included your academic certificate with your transcripts for skills assessment. Although I do have my academic certificate with me. Unfortunately, I was told that the university doesn't issue the certificate twice. What do I have to do die to this regard. Thanks for your time

Hello people, while filling the eoi for 190, is it okay to select 'any' when asked which state you are applying to for nomination?
You can do that or just use different email for different states and apply separately, but remember to delete the others when you get any nomination.

what vetasses wants for the certificate is a certified copy of your uni certificate by your uni.. so what this means is that you will send a coloured scanned copy or submit a coloured copy to the office processing your transcript... I had my registrar's office certify my certificate and submitted it to the office processing my transcript for it to be added to the transcript envelope before posting to vetassess- ( i.e the address provided)

I am also nominating the same occupation. Have been waiting for FUTO to send my transcript to Vetassess since May 2017. Not sure whether they will accept only my UK MSc credentials without the underpinning first degree. How many years were you positively assessed? Sent you a PM.

Was your first degree in Civil/Building/construction? if yes, then you have a good chance. Architects who have CPM roles are considered on case by case basis according to Vetassess. Why not align your roles to that of Landscape Architect (Code:232112), my suggestion anyway.

Hi this is where GOD surprised me While I was waiting for my naija transcript to travel and reach vetasses. I had applied with what i had my Msc in Construction Project Management (UK) and it was more than enough. Apparently, with Vetasses A Masters degree in the Nominated occupation esp CPM or Project builder is more than enough...

for experience ideally you must have at least more than a year. because if eg you submit with 2 years experience vetasses will remove one year and your positive outcome year will be least a year some times even more... it can be positive outcome experience 10 months. I hope you understand

Wow, You have just extricated me from the hook of Naija transcript. I would have been done with this assessment. My MSc was actually in Structural Design and Construction Management, and first degree, Civil Engineering (Building and Construction Major). I have the MSc diploma supplement and the certificate. It that what you submitted to vetassess? Did you submit organisational chart?

I submitted an organisational chart
2. company lettered headed paper with the roles held at the company signed off by the MD ( follow the break down Vetassess wants, your role/ job description held at your company should match the nominated occupation)-
3. Payslips

Yes submit the MSC diploma supplement +Transcript and certificate- Coloured copies (very clear please) are fine. However, I also went the extra mile and had mine certified by a notary public.

@uchey,

I used CPA. Others like @Toslad that used ICAA also have good things to say about them. Both assessing bodies are fair once you submit all the required documents.

ICAN transcript can be gotten from ICAN Lagos office. Just send someone after making a payment of N10,000 for the transcript and ensure you are not owing any due. I think @zibe posted a link. Kindly check the link and ICAN site.

@praiseisgood and other accountants in the house, please help out.

Is is possible to get a positive outcome as an accountant with only BSc Accounting? I have gotten my degree syllabus ready and the core areas for the occupation were covered. I have not completed my ICAN. Your urgent responses will be appreciated because I dont wanna waste money in this harsh economy of ours. Thank you.

Gooday E-fam.
Hope our day is going well.

For the past weeks,I have been battling with EA.
I applied to be assessed as a chemical engineer (professional).I was contacted for additional information, saying I should consider rewriting on another project related to chemical engineering and revising statement summary. (Before I submitted, I ensured my CDR was reviewed and proofread by those that have assessed and everything was ok),so I was supprised seeing their response. undecided

Without delay, I did the needful and submitted 2 extra career episode. After that, the reply I got from them is still to go for the technologist. Seeing the message this morning just landed me in a confused state.am kinda in a cross road, already considering accepting the technologist but my fear is this 70 points sorrounding it. I don't know the next step to take cry
