If una like make una argue from now till eternity. Jose Mourinho is a sore loser and his brand of football can only work at a club who think they are on the rise, not a club who believe success is their birthright.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by joeace2020(m): 8:24am On Dec 28, 2017
I may not like Mourinho's football too much but this quote from redcafe couldn't be farther from the truth.

You can only sell players if you have been promised competent replacements. Who just sells without a hope of new recruits? Jose can only sell when he gets money to buy.

Does it look like our board is even serious about taking this club to the next level? You will put United in the top 3 clubs in Europe considering their history, tradition, etc.

Now let’s do the math....

Real Madrid have Ramos, Bale, Ronaldo, Kroos, Modric, Marcelo

Barcelona have Messi, Pique, Suárez, Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta

Bayern have Robben, Lewandowski, Neuer, Boateng, Hummels, Vidal, David Alaba, Thiago.

Juventus have Buffon, Chiellini, Higuain, Dybala, Sandro, Bazargli

PSG have Dani Alves, Neymar, Cavani, Mbappe, Verratti, Thiago Silva

United have only De Gea & Pogba. Is this what you call investment? We are really expected to compete with this lot with only 2 recognised world class players? In terms of player investment, we are the worst “big team” in Europe.

There's just a lack of investment in our team and as much as i hate Mourinho's football, i have to say he's tried so well to bring the best out of a truly average squad. While Pep and City have the funds to even correct transfer Pep's gaffes, we are still shoehorning Mata into the right wing because we don't have solid options. Against Leicester city and Burnley, our imbalance was clear as daylight as we kept using the left. Ibrahimovic for all his previous success is now only half what he was. He's now too old and that injury may have probably ended his career for us. We need quality players in this team, not just because we aim to win the league, but because we need to stand toe to toe with some of the biggest sides in football. Let's not kid ourselves, if we were to face Madrid, Barca or Bayern today, we might receive a football lesson. We will only come out victorious because anything can happen with the underdog but it's a shame we should be underdogs almost all the time. Mourinho wanted 4 players in the summer (a number i suspect the club pegged for transfers) yet he got 3..We made a mess of the Morata deal which is disgraceful to us, we massively overpaid for Lukaku in a Rooney swap that should have cost us even less than 60 mil. Only Matic deal looked to be without any issue. The perisic one was even more disgraceful. Haggling over prices city would pay without batting an eyelid. The guy was already showing signs of wanting to leave. The club preseason photo said all about that, but we were still toying around with paltry sums that a supposed big club should play. Let's not even talk of what Woodward was doing in the US while clubs were making moves for their players. We've been a mess for some time transfer wise starting from the Moyes time. It's time we got our acts together and invest in this team... Walker and Mendy are players for their positions. Valencia and Young aren't, Martial and Rashford are inconsistent kids. Maybe City is doing it with kids but we shouldn't yet. We may have won one or two tinpot trophies last season but even then towards the end of the season, the lack of true talent was obvious. Our rebuilding job has been slow and our transfer policy to rectify deficiencies has been erratic. We have to as a matter of urgency take Mourinho's complaints seriously. All this stupid arguments for kids and stars will do us no good. We have seen how poor we were with kids under LVG, how Assnal have been with them now we are seeing what we can achieve with a more matured squad. We need more world class players to play with the inconsistent kids we currently have. I feel Mourinho's football will improve with quality players in the squad. He'd probably be more confident sending out attacking players to attack instead of sending out the Rashford types who runs like a headless chicken or Martial types who keep loosing balls to the opposition and causing needless counters. I'd be more confident seeing players like Insigne, Douglas Costa, Dybala, Greizmann, Bale despite his injuries or James Rodriguez in my attack than the current crop of inexperienced dross we have.

Let us buy him first.

Why did Mourinho not turn Ronaldo, Di Maria, Ozil and Benzema to left back?

The players you have sometimes determine the style you play.

Why are we not always in for the best players? Mbappe, Neymar, etc?

People shouting Mourinho spent 300m, do you realize Guardiola has spent more and that Guardiola would gadly request City for 350m if Messi becomes available today?

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 9:31am On Dec 28, 2017

According to Yorke, who was speaking in his role as a pundit for beIN Sports, Ferguson thinks Mourinho will remain set in his tried and tested ways.

“He’s done that type of stuff as a manager throughout his career.

“He’s been very successful doing it this way. I had this conversation with Sir Alex last week, and he can’t see him changing because if you’re successful this way, why would you want to change?” Yorke said.

Bros Paul labile Pogba is a world class player. I know it, Everyone knows it and unless you are just want to troll sentimentally, you know it too. Mourinho is the trash that needs to be left for lawma to handle.
Imagine Pogba, Rashford, Martial, Mikhitaryan, Scott Mctominay, Lindelof, David de gea etc in the hands of Guardiola, tell me if such a team wont do even better than the way they are doing under Mourinho. Even Mata, shaw, Bailly.

Mourinho has turned all our players to headless chicken defenders and even the defending is crap! He has totally killed the attacking instinct in our players. I read an interview with Pogba and Paul said the thing he hates most about training is that the tactical training is done without the ball. WTF!! No wonder our players look clueless with the ball and even more clueless without it. How the fvck do you train attacking tactics without the ball? You don't! The Motherfucker(I meant that literally)trains only defence! No attacking training whatsoever and that's why our players are not developing "attackwise". When you train all day without the ball, how da fvck do you play with the ball on the field? So Mourinho just hope to get one or two goals using luck and individual intelligence and then the team parks the bus? This is sickening. Do you still wonder why we have no evident style and pattern of play? I used to support Mourinho because I thought the players were the problem and he would get it right soon but after I read that interview, I knew for sure that Mourinho is a hopeless coward.

What is it I'm reading here, what exactly is lack of investment after spending so much over the past couple of seasons or do you not know that investment should go hand in hand with on and off the pitch improvement? Granted we're doing very well off the pitch but on the pitch, the quality of our football is poor and we've not posed the trophies that should match our huge outlays on transfers...Must it be PSG-level investment for us to accept we have been spending heavily on transfers?
One begins to wonder what would have been the case if we had Mou in the dugout in those years where the Glazers were tight fisted, I am talking about the years when fans got disillusioned and started a protest...Fergie managed to keep us winning and challenging for titles with little investment but look what we have now, a coach still complaining after spending so much on players... This investment line is just about the most ridiculous excuse for our underperformance yet...

Martial was a first team player for Monaco when they destroyed Arsenal and unluckily lost out to Juventus he was already well known and highly rated...If Martial had remained in Monaco for another season, he'd have been quite easily a 100m player...

"Guardiola's Barcelona were famed for their devastating, possession-based attacking football, but his most significant innovation at the Nou Camp actually concerned their approach without the ball.

Guardiola wanted to increase the speed at which his players regained possession after losing it. He saw it as a way of snuffing out counter-attacks and catching Barcelona's opponents out of position, and his solution was to introduce the six second rule.

The idea was to recover the ball with a six second burst of high-intensity pressing. The nearest Barcelona players were instructed to rush towards the individual in possession, with the rest of the team moving closer together to form a tightly-organised defensive shape.

The technique was designed to close down passing options and force an immediate mistake from the opposition, and in the event that Barcelona failed to win the ball back in six seconds, their compact positioning would make it difficult for the opposition to break them down.

Guardiola used the same approach at Bayern Munich - where he once described defensive organisation as "the cornerstone" of his philosophy "

It's like some of una just display hate filled comments towards the coach in order to appeal to the wack sensibilities of rival fans from other clubs whose own teams are actually doing worse than ours at the moment! Either that or simply just looking for an easy "I told you so" get out of jail card...the term flippant comes to mind! Smh!

Has Arsenal, Liverpool not invested in their squad over several years.. tell me what that has gotten them. In fact the Arsenal case is quite obvious and is exactly what investing quality players over squad players can do for you. Was it not when Ozil and Sanchez came in they started winning something again. Saying investment line is ridiculous is naivety of the highest order. We've bought too many average joes since Ferguson. Only with Mourinho have we been getting some players with signs of quality in them. What you are failing to get from my argument because of your Mourinho hatred is that we have spent well but spent on average players. You can only motivate average players the best as you can, they'll still be average. Whether you agree or not, the manager deals with the players everyday and from experience can tell he doesn't have a good enough squad. He has cried out now and the board better listens. Y'all can keep calling him chequebook and whatever narratives makes you exonerate our average squad and put all the blame on Mourinho.

Lemme quickly do. I am amazed you'd even compare Fergies time to now when Liverpool can pay up to 75 mil for a defender. Are you really serious? United and Arsenal were the only teams digging it out for years. We bought players for record sums all through that time, mixing it with talent and youth. The competition among teams wasn't as fierce. The need to outspend Rivals for top quality talent wasn't there. We invested more in our youth team because at the time we could have afford to see young players we bought cheap or came through the academy fail and keep trying. Do you think anyone will have the patience we had with Rashford if he keeps running endlessly as he is doing today or Martial who cuts this frustrated figure when he is responsible for his own mess everytime. Do you think we have the time to waste when City, Chelsea and now Liverpool are going all out for talents out there? Are you so distant from the realities of present day football? Wake up man. This is 2017. If fergie was here, bro he'd spend that money but being a man who saw the future like he always has, he knew it'll tarnish his reputation for bringing through youth if he stayed further and began to rely exclusively on chequebook. Football was going rotten and fergie wasn't gonna be a part of it.
