Katchy, she might not mean what your thinking.
It might even be a kiss or snuggle she's talking about.
Let her explain what she knows.
It might even be all these rough play you sometimes engage in and not intimacy.

The day I saw my son twerking on the bed I almost had heart attack cos I thought he was imitating the act and then he stood and continued his twerking and another bout of heart attack came. Only to find out he watched a music video and was replaying it. Video channel that I passed by and stopped for one minute to see these "bad bad shildrens".
Children are very good at mimicry

God bless you for this comment. I saw my son doing something like twerking and ivhavent been myself. Had to tell dh no sex till he is fulllllllllly asleep.

You are right ooooo... I have no choice now than to have a heart to heart talk with her, and see if what she knows is what I'm thinking...

Hi

1. Depends on the temperature of the creche (AC 24/7 or not) but a bodysuit is fine. He's going to mostly be playing like he does during the day at home

Side trip: a creche with AC 24/7 is not a good idea so you don't deal with catarrh everyday

2. I suggest you start mirroring whatever your feeding pattern will be now so you can know how many bottles you need. Do you plan to express breastmilk for him?

3. Remove from water and keep in the bag. Bottle remains sterile until it's opened for use

Thanks mama. So how many extra body suits do I pack? I plan to express. Possibly bout 220-250ml which would be in one feeding bottle.
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by hunniesuzie: 12:51pm On Dec 28, 2017
Well I pack 2 extra although he typically uses 1. The other one is incase of poo/food accidents

For the expressed milk only put the quantity he can finish at once in a bottle. If that 250ml is 2 feeds then separate it. You want to ensure as minimal contact with your baby's food as possible

Compliments of the season mums. I have some creche related questions.
1. What is the appropriate wear for creche for a 4months old? Is bodysuit okay? Or regular shorts and shirts i.e. outing clothes? How many changes of clothes should be packed?

2. How many feeding bottles can I pack? Since they'll make the formula when he needs it? Right now we do 150ml formula after morning bath then breastfeeding through out the day on demand .. how many formula feeding do I pack until 5pm?

3. I sterilize using Milton tablet in a bucket of water; how can dat work with creche? Except I remove the bottles from the water and keep unsterilized in his diaper bag?

P.S. Still on the lookout for creche in aguda surulere area

Thanks!

1. it depends on the weather. at that age, a body suit will do or just normal indoor clothes (top and trousers).
there should be a small storage box or peg at the crèche where you can leave spare clothes, bibs, etc behind in a bag. you can leave 'permanently' at the nursery about 3 bodysuits and maybe one complete outfit.

2. it depends on the crèche. some will suggest you leave two feeding bottles permanently with them (with your child's name labelled on it) as this saves you the hassle of bringing in bottles everyday and taking them back home everyday. the creche will wash/sterilise the bottle after each feed. it is their duty to do this as you are already paying for the service. if you choose not to leave bottles with them permanently, then 2-3 bottles is okay everyday - 1 for formula and the second for water.

3.again, the crèche should be the one to sort this out. you cannot be moving around with a bowl of sterilised water everyday. ask them their mode of sterilisation. a decent crèche should have a standard method of sterilising all feeding utensils for babies in their care (steam or microwave sterilisers or they might provide sterilising tablets). so just give them the clean bottles in the morning (that is if you choose to bring in bottles daily) and ask them to sterilise before use.

gudmorning wonderful mamas, pls help me touch light dis mata,we r 10days old 2day,and my princess cord is yet to fall off.dey told me at d hospital to use only 1chlorxy G gel to b applying once daily nd nt to use spirit, pls mamas I am Beginning to feel uncomfortable, has any1 used did gel b4
Atleast u were told to use gel, i never use anything on my sons cord. At the hospital, we were told to just clean with cotton bud after every diaper change to ensure it is dry. They said if we as adult have a wound or sometin that are we going to like it if spirit is used on the wound so same apply to babys. I strictly adhered to d cotton bud thing and in less than 2 weeks it fell off and healed beautifully. So dont be scared i am sure they know what they are doing or wait for other mamas to put mouth.

Hair shampoo.
We used Aveeno hair and body wash from when she was a baby. I learnt from here to wash her hair with soap once or twice weekly. For other days, I just pour water and comb as soon as we step out of the bath.
I think Sebamed shampoo also has great reviews.
As soon as she was around 3m (most likely before) we started using those soft cotton bands to make puffpuff and this helped greatly as we didn't need to comb the hair everyday.
Right now (she's 26m)we (Muna and I) use the same shampoo and conditioner which is V05 and then she uses Cantu (since she's a naturalista tongue) hair custard and next day curls. We also use detanglers and Olive Oil hair mayonnaise (Olive oil is the brand name). Coconut oil gives us shine all days and every day wink.
Good luck with the hair.
(Put in mind that I have a forest full of hair that grows really fast and thick and the women in her father's family have really long hair)

Modified: Organics is the brand name.
Olodo wee nor kill me embarassed

Giddyperson, if she scratches, it might be the heat or sweat and product residue. You can also wash her hair without using soap. Let water run through it to wash away the water soluble products and dry it thoroughly without using heat (hair dryer)
Try to make her hair for her. Split into large or medium sized puffs or according to how full her hair is. Don't binge on the custard. I don't use it except if her hair is in a bun cos I hate gooey stuff.
Kisses to her kiss

kisstnx I'd try to be less lazy about the hair next year

I am not saying spirit is not effective and safe. I am just saying what i was told at the hospital and it worked for me and baby never got an infection.
When i was told this, i had to talk to my sis who is a medical doctor and a mother of 4 and she told me they use methylated spirit and was laughing saying all this oyinbo and the way they do there things self and ask me to do as i was told and showed at the hospital.
I also went to google and saw that they are dispensing the use of spirit and that was when i was calm about it.
I did as i was told and like i said earlier, it healed very well and no infection as long as u keep the place dry and clean it during every diaper change.
I just got this from babycenter "Don't use alcohol to clean the stump. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) used to recommend cleaning the base of the stump daily with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. But researchers have found that untreated cords heal faster than alcohol-swabbed cords and carry no more risk of infection, so the AAP changed its recommendation"
