IMO Rwanda played the better football by a wide margin. Better passing and understanding. Libya was boring.
Then I doubt if you know much about football. I needn't argue with you.

Libya vs Rwanda- so you see Rwanda as the favorite in the next game? lol nawa o

Tried finding out that of boboye in one piece, couldn't find any. Help with that.

Found a wiki for salisu, he won 2 FA cups and 1 league title with 3 different NPFL teams including Enyimba and Kano pillars. He's coached more than 5 Nigerian NPFL clubs.
Humility017:

take a holistic view of their various achievements in the npfl...I think that will tell you much... how good Boboye is

The youngest member of the Home based Super Eagles side at the CHAN is 15 year old Mohammed Nur.
And from what I gather, he played against Rwanda in the first game. He came in as a sub in the second half. I did not watch that game against Rwanda ooo.

Who did? How did Nur go about things in the little time he got?

Cc Marvellous BascoVanVeli, Sir Daniel Danycrusoe Defoe... grin

Salisu's words on Nur after the Rwanda game:

“[Nur] is a young guy, the youngest in the team,” Yusuf told journalists after the match.
“He has great potential, he’s very intelligent and very crafty at times.
“I believe he’ll grow to be a very important player for Nigeria.”

Dordrecht End Oliseh’s Fortuna Sittard Winning Streak
By Johnny Edward

Dordrecht ended Fortuna Sittard’s seven-game winning streak in the Dutch second division league on Friday, spanking former Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh’s side 3-0, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports.

Goals from Jafar Arias, Robert Mutzers and Jafar Arias condemned Fortuna Sittard to their first defeat in the league in two months.

The defeat was their fifth of the season.

Fortuna Sittard’s last league defeat was a 1-0 loss to Cambuur on November 17, 2017.

But despite their defeat, the Oliseh’s side remain top of the Dutch second division table with just a point ahead of second placed NEC Nijmegen who lost 3-2 away to Almere City FC on Friday.

Fortuna Sittard will host eighth placed FC Emmen in their next game next Friday.

Last Friday, Fortuna were crowned champions of the Period 2 after defeating Jong Ajax 2-1.

A Period in the Dutch second tier consists of nine match days. Four periods make up the Dutch second division league in a season, each made up of nine matches.

The winner of each of the four periods qualifies for a promotion play-off at the of the season with only the top team gaining promotion to the Dutch top flight League (Eredivisie).

Norwegian Club IK Start Unveil Afeez Aremu
By Adeboye Amosu

Norwegian club, IK Start , have unveiled Nigerian midfielder, Afeez Aremu, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports.
Aremu linked up with IK Start from Nigeria’s Westerlo Football Academy and penned a three-year contract with the club.

IK Start’s sporting director, Tor-Kristian Karlsen expressed his delight at the player’s arrival and described him a great talent.

“We are delighted that Afeez Aremu is finally ready for Start.
The player was first noted by Mick Priest during the WAFU championship this fall and since then, he has also been involved in the national team of Nigeria in the World Cup qualifier. We hope this young man can be a solid boost in the midfield," Karlsen told the club’s official website

“Afeez is very ‘European’ in his game style. As an essentially defensive midfielder, he makes things easy, looks at solutions early and rarely stresses the ball. In addition, he works hard and is a loyal team player.”

The 18-year-old who is one the highly rated defensive midfielders in the NPFL last season, is keen to kick start his career with his new club.

It’s a dream to get to Start. I have never been to Europe before. Now I look forward to getting started,” he stated.

The young midfielder played for Akwa United on loan from Westerlo, in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season and was part of the team that won the Aiteo Federation Cup.
He was part of Nigeria’s home-based Super Eagles team that came second at the 2017 WAFU Nations Cup in Ghana.

Coach Salisu Yusuf has blamed the NPFL coaches for the profligacy and [dryness] of his attack. He said the coaches are not developing the players and alluded to the NPFL invitational where his team out-scored all the others. He opined that the National team is not a developmental ground where the players begin to learn the basics, adding that they had no time to teach the players what their coaches in their various clubs should have taught them.

Amuneke: Home Eagles Should Be More Cohesive

Al Khartoum Watani manager, Emmanuel Amuneke, has urged the home-based Super Eagles to overcome their lapses after recording a nervy 1-0 win against Libya in their second Group C of the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) on Friday in Tangier, Completesportsnigeria.com reports (CSN) reports.

Shooting Stars forward Sunday Faleye scored the only goal of the encounter in the 76th minute of the encounter.

The Former African Footballer of the Year who watched the encounter however advised the team to be more cohesive in their play and be decisive during crucial match situations.

“They played too cautiously and were not cohesive and decisive during the game, but lucky the ball dropped well for Faleye to score,” Amuneke told Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) shortly after the game.

“The win against Libya will bring more confidence to the team and they (Home Eagles) should be able to express themselves the more against Equatorial Guinea. At some point, they looked confused, but I wish them well in their final game.”

The Eagles will head to the city of Agadir, where they play debutants Equatorial Guinea on Tuesday in their final Group C game.

A Coach is synonymous for his pattern and philosophy. A Samson Siasia team will thrill us any day any time even with junks in the team.
Salisu isn't influencing the Super Eagles from the look of things and he is also guilty of Coaching some of the players in the NPFL

Okpotu to play alongside Mustapha Ibrahim? Will Salisu employ such tactics? I think that is proposing a 4-4-2 right or a 3-5-2?

And yeah, Ogbugh's crosses are almost always well placed. Dude is trying too. There are still flashes of certain brilliance in the team despite all the team still lacks.
I think our defence is also one reason this team can shock the bookmakers but let's see shaa. Please any update on Faleye? Hope dude is okay.

I wouldn't be surprised if Faleye and the rest were faking their injuries. It is rampant here at home, when a team wants to kill a match the players start rolling around like someone shot them even without any contact.

This is spot on. Nigerian coaches pay more attention to strength and endurance training than tactics, positioning and technique.

The last I saw an Npfl team play with attacking invention was the title conquering Rangers team of 2016 and Mr Kelechi Emetole's Heartland 2009 CAF champions league finalist.

Home Eagles Coach Yusuf: Misfiring Okpotu Will Start Against Equatorial Guinea

Home Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf has stated that Lobi Stars striker Anthony Okpotu will lead the team’s attack when they face Equatorial Guinea in their final group game at the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) on Tuesday barring injury, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports.

Okpotu has been unimpressive so far after two games, failing to get off the mark for Nigeria and several calls have been made for the striker to be dropped ahead of the next game for Ibrahim Mustapha who came on for the Lobi Stars striker as a late substitute against Rwanda and Libya.

Salisu remains upbeat that the Nigerian Professional Football League top scorer for last season will end his drought soon.

“We still have four days to the game and Okpotu has more quality than him (Mustapha). Except for injury, Okpotu will start on Tuesday,” Yusuf raid during his post-match conference.

“He (Okpotu) didn’t score against Libya but he did well.

“Okpotu blocked the lines very well and worked very hard defensively but I believe he can score in our final group game.”

Home Eagles’ Eze Named Man Of The Match Vs Libya

Home-based Super Eagles defender, Stephen Eze, was voted man of the match in his side’s 1-0 win against Libya at the African Nations Championship on Friday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN).

Eze, who has penned a two-year contract with Bulgarian club Locomotiv Plovdiv and will link up with the the club after CHAN, put up a fine performance in the encounter.

The centre-back was an imposing figure at the heart of the Home Eagles’ defence and barely put a foot wrong in the game.
His performance did not go unnoticed as he was duly picked as the best of the game by the organisers.

He was also outstanding in the team’s first game against Rwanda where he came close to registering a goal.

The defender is also among the four players that were part of Nigeria’s squad at CHAN 2016.

French Club Amiens Set To Seal Kayode Loan Deal

Nigeria striker Olanrewaju Kayode is close to a switch to French club Amiens, according to reports in France.

Kayode is currently on loan at Spanish LaLiga club Girona from Manchester City but he has struggled for playing time and has not scored after 13 appearances in all competitions, 12 in LaLiga.

He has mostly played as a substitute and has registered two assists.

The Super Eagles star was linked with a move to Turkey but RMC claimed on Thursday that Kayode was on the verge of joining Ligue 1 club Amiens.

RMC insist that ‘some financial details remain to be settled’, and believe a deal is nearly done.

Kayode had issues getting back to Spain after his Christmas break in Nigeria due to paperwork hitches.

Amiens, who are 16th in the Ligue 1 table with 22 points from 21 games, just one point off the relegation zone, will be signing the 24-year-old Kayode on loan from Manchester City, before making the move permanent in the summer.

How sensible or reasonable is unveiling our world cup jersey outside Nigeria far away in England when almost every one else unveiled theirs at home?

Isn't this disrespectful to the home fans and Nigeria as a whole?
