I think CHAN Eagles deserve some Credits for topping the Group without losing a Match. We are expecting too much from them. Some of us even expected them to fail.

They did their best so far, they didn't lose any Match, conceded just a Goal and scored 4 Goals in the Process; yet some us of see no Reason why we should applaud them?!

If we can't support the home-made Team, then how do we expect the League to grow?! The Lads are doing their Best. Let's support them, let's believe in them, so that we can honorably celebrate with them - if they eventually win the Tournament!

What about if you were served good football in the 3 Matches played but couldn't make it to the next Round?!

Would you expect the Super Eagles to serve you good football in Russia, or qualify from the Group with boring football?!

Abusule007 quest wasn't too much...
how do you expect someone to sit glued to the TV to watch trash...
though they've been trying...but their final touches and attack is still very poor....

We expect more from them...because they're Nigerians...in a country of 170m people...we can offer more being that football is like a household sport in Nigeria

Being Oliver Twist won't make the Team better. JM won UCL with Inter not with a fanciful Football. The most important thing in football is 3 Points, how you get it matters not!

Are they getting the Job done...... Yes?! Are you entertained......that ain't matter! When was the last Arsenal won the EPL?! If you can't watch them live, I think you should be watching the Highlight on YouTube.

We are not against the team. This CHAN was supposed to be an audition to see which of the home boys can possibly be invited to the main team or at least show us future stars but so far the quality has not been impressive.

The only player with a potential national team future is Faleye if he makes the right career moves.

A certain Shehu Abdullahi played CHAN when he was 19. He has gone ahead and had a decent national team career. That is why many of us were calling for a younger squad that potentially has players that could be Super eagle players.

You couldn't have said it any better.

Simply put and plain.

I believe this should be the last CHAN for some old players in that team.

Even without CAF fixing an age limit, the NFF needs to set a goal for participating in CHAN. If it is for talent discovery I see no reason why Papas like Rabiu Ali and Osas Okoro would be playing. Are they still hoping to make the Super Eagles team or a team in Europe?

In subsequent CHAN we need to see younger players please. That will add more value to both the league and the national teams.

Even if they go on and win this Chan Cup with this their wack football style, the aim of this Cup have been defeated because I'm sure, we want to use this tournament to access Good players and even the players individual goals are to showcase their abilities to the foreign clubs so they will come for them. But with their wack playing style, nobody will come for them and we here will still criticize them that they don't worth invitation to the REAL Super Eagles

I understand your Point Sir..... but I believe there is U23 Tournament too. The Team is called Home-based Eagles, not Eaglets Sir.

We should be watching the Lads to perhaps discover a Potential(s) who may luckily gate-crash into the Final List for the WC.

So far I'm more impressed with the No. 5 Guy! The Lad is a Gem. He's well composed and very good with both Feet. Faleye is doing fine, but he needs to be polished, hence it's too early to promote him to the main Eagles.

Sir..... this is how we do underestimate locally made Products. This is how we prefer Italian, even Chinese, made Shoes to Aba made Shoes. Let support our locally made Players, they ain't doing bad as some are making it seems.

They top the Group that has Libya in it. A North Africa Team that doesn't require time to acclimatize. They beat the real Team of Libya, not just a Team.

Please, let's appreciate them as far as they are getting the Jobs done.

There needs to be a goal for this tournament that benefits the main national team. Apart from the goalkeepers, none of the players can join the main team.

Our worst game so far was against Libya. We were fortunate to get a winning goal. That game itself was not of good quality from both sides. Rwanda and Equatorial Guinea were poor, poor teams.

It is not a matter of underestimating locally made products. I would rather promote locally made products that can improve their quality than locally made products with no chance of improving. Young players can improve, the old men paraded in this tournament can not learn new things.

The emboldened really makes me laugh Bro. So winning the Trophy does not matter?! Didn't you know it will hugely and positively reflect on the FIFA Ranking?! Didn't you know these Lads would only be rewarded by whatever comes out from the Tournament?!

See.... it's not a must to appreciate them, and we can't all be on the same Page. By God's willing we shall be here to assess the main Eagles Performance at the World Cup.

Like 1 ,2 or 3 years ago, one would want to watch the NPFL just to assess young players like Obinna Nwobodo, Kingsley Sokari, Junior Ajayi, Ifeanyi Mathew, Ibrahim Alhassan, Karo Etebo, Daniel Etor, Chisom Chikatara, Kunle Odunlami, and a couple of others. But such quality young players are not just there any more.

Then I could forfeit some good EPL games just to watch how these young lads perform in their teams and of course they were easily the shinning stars in their respective teams. They are all gone and so what is left?

I fear for our next U20 and U23 teams. We seem not to have enough quality U19 players presently.

This CHAN team na just patience and humility person go take dey follow them.

Apart from Faleye, none of the others have a super eagles future. Old and not good enough. Faleye's age means he can improve with the right training.

We saw Osas during WAFU. Whenever there was a player who could run at him directly. He was skinned alive. So far, he has not faced any lively winger.

Poor football was one of the reasons Nigerians lost interest in the Super Eagles during the mid 2000s. In those years, the Eagles played with little or no passion. Their games was characterised with poor passes, lack of coordination etc.

Many people, even close friends of mine lost interest in watching the national team play despite that they were getting the results then. They did this, not because the team lacked quality but because of the quality of football they were dishing out to people.

This proves to Arsenal that the boy is not ready for first team action or ready for Nigeria as he was unable to break into VVV Venlo team.

Always keep in mind a player can be good and left out due to reasons best to the coaches. De Bruyne and Salah at Chelsea clearly highlights this.
