Red Hot Former Flying Eagles Striker Suleiman Abdullahi Hit Brace In Germany




Former Nigeria junior international Suleiman Abdullahi continued his fine form in front of goal in Germany for second division side Eintracht Braunschweig with a brace in their 3-1 away win against Erzgebirge Aue.
21 year old Abdullahi bagged his brace in the 13th and 71st minute, with his first goal helping his side draw level after they went behind to a 12th minute goal by Pascal Koepke.

Abdullahi lasted 89 minutes before he was substituted to a standing ovation by the travelling fans for Christoffer Nyman, although he picked up a booking in the 73rd minute for excessive celebration after his goal.

The brace means he now has 5 goals in 17 games for 12th placed Eintracht Braunschweig, but more importantly he has found the back of the net 8 times in his last 7 games.

A near 1 million Euros signing from Norwegian side Viking in 2016, a knee injury picked up during pre season ahead of the start of last season saw him made just 13 appearances with just a goal to his name.

Strong, quick and blessed with tricks and flicks, he was a part of the Nigerian U20 team of 2015 but was dropped from the final list of players that represented Nigeria at the World Youth Championship in New Zealand.

Eagles goalkeeper and captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa has been praised by coach Gernot Rohr after he inspired Nigeria to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2018 CHAN in Morocco.

Rohr also praised the CHAN Eagles for reaching the last four of the tournament in Morocco.

Ezenwa pulled off several saves to keep Nigeria alive before they fought back to beat Angola 2-1 in Tangier tonight.

“I am not surprised by what Ezenwa has done, I know him and that’s why I picked him against Cameroon and Algeria , he’s a good goalkeeper with good reflexes and great on one-on-one,” Rohr told SCORENigeria

“He showed this today, he saved three, four one-on-one situations.

“He’s a local player who is good to play for the main Super Eagles.”

Rohr also told SCORENigeria that qualification to the semifinal is already a success for Nigeria.

“It was a wonderful game, not easy, but we deserved to qualify,” he remarked.

“They never gave up and they were better team and stronger in the extra time.

“It is a very good result by the team and reaching the semifinal is already a good success for Nigeria.”

Nigeria will battle Sudan on Wednesday in Marrekesh for a place in the CHAN final.

He is a no.10 with the feet of a no.9. Has Excellent Vision and can pick the right pass and bring others into a game but can also finish with the touch and class of a master. Plain simple.

It is like a science kid who rocks 100 in physics but rates mostly a 70 or 75 in chemistry and an 80 in Biology.
For instance, as a false 9, Nacho excels well too. He also does okay as a RWF if a proper 4-3-3 is employed. And as a top 9/lone striker, Nacho is not among the best but he certainly has the stats to prove he does good in that role too.
